I have been recovering from surgery but have been keeping track of my picks. I will be posting my plays from now on in. GL To everyone!
I'm on a 60% clip since the beginning of the season.

15-10 on the season .... pending on one play tonight. Vancouver / Dallas Under looks like i'll hit it. To move
to 16-10

Here Goes Nothing!

CAPS PL
The CAPS are coming off three straight road losses. Two of them  being on the road to Philly and Detroit while the other coming at home against the Rangers where i think they didn't play there best game The Devils are coming off "impressive" victories vs the Lightning (which was a last second victory) and the "Power House" panthers ... can anyone tell the sarcasm?

The point being is this. Two teams sitting at .500 ... which is the better? I'll take the CAPS at home any day of the week. The Wings squeeked out a victory at home against this team, where I thought there was some shotty officiating. The CAPS have some of the best weapons on offence in Backstrom, Semin and Green. I don't have to mention Ovechkin do i? The devils simply don't have the offence to compete! They're two victories coming against teams that are going to be near the basement by season end. (Maybe not Tampa I have a feeling they will pull it together)
Nonetheless, A team like the CAPS won't loose more than three straight games often or even at all this year. I expect Bourdeu to have his team ready to go. Sorry Marty you get lit up tonight. Your 38 year old body can't handle another barrage of 40+ shots and keep the opposition to less than 2 goals. That streak ends tonight.

CAPS in a cake walk.

SJ PL
So I see the panic in San Jose has finally stopped. After a couple of impressive victories 4-2 vs Minnesota and 6-3 vs Columbus they finally get their division rival in Phoenix. Do the Coyotes have what it takes to keep this game close? Not the way San Jose has been playing, and I feel San Jose keeps this streak alive. The first few
games were just a minor blip and the line of Heater, Thonrton & Setoguchi are starting to light it up. Nabokov is starting to pick it up again, and the Defence seems to be pulling it all together.
Now Phoenix is a pesky team and seems to play better on the road so far this year, but lets look closer at the numbers. Their PK is HORRIBLE at a 75% clip. Earning 57 Penalty minutes on the road. So some simple math 57 devided by 4 games played is over 10 minutes in penalties a game! The Sharks offence is coming together if they can stay out of the box the sharks can dispose of this team rather quickly. I Expect the San Jose Shark train to be roaring full steam ahead. Phoenix gets brought back down to earth as they should. Team is too young not enough proven scorers and a suspect defence. Dave Tippet is a great coach and this team will be a gritty team this year. But not tonight.

Sharks in a rout.

NYI Over 5.5 & NYI ML
Ah the winless New York Islanders. What can you say about them? They blew up late in Boston (even though they covered my +1.5 YES!) So they are 0-0-3. Two shoot-out loses and one overtime lose. This can go two ways. This young team can be demorolized already or they can say hey we got a point IN BOSTON, a point vs the cup champs and a point vs an improved Senators squad. Now they face a HOT Kings team. Their top-line of Smyth, Kopitar and
Williams has already accumulated 20 points! Now they have beaten the sharks ... well i would say the faux sharks as they played like utter crap the first two games. Then danced all over Minnesota (who i think will shit the bed this year) and squeeked a victory out over a gritty blues club. This smells like a setup for dissapointment to me.
LA is good, but they are young. I would think they might be a tad ... over confident at this point of the season. 3-1 top of the division feeling good. But lets remember this is a very VERY young team. I think this will be a kind of game where it's the wrong place at the wrong time. NYI is getting hungrier every game. Like i've said before I don't think by any means that this team will do damage this year, but they will be pretty damn hard to earn your 2 points. NYI will actually take this game in front of their home fans. As Taveraz has added such a dynamic dimension to this squad that no one on LA can compare. This 18 year old is for real. They ride him to victory and on the over.
Since both teams don't really like to play defence.

Also leaning on the following games for small plays.
AVS + 1.5
(Be careful Boston backers mark my words they won't be as good as last year)

Tampa ML  (I think the panthers simply suck ... any team with
Bryan McCabe as your Captain ... YEEESH)

Tor ML (God dammit we're due! They are my god damn team and if Toskala can stop a beach ball and not blow up our confidence the team will respond better! MONSTER & JOEY McDonald WHERE ARE YOU!!!!)

Start your day on the good foot.... Don't underestinate the LA Kings here. The Kings are 4-0-1 in thier last four trip to the island. Take LA, now at (-110), for a good start to the day. Also, take Pheonix-PL+1.5 goals(-165), One of San Jose's five regulation losses at home a season ago came to the Coyotes, who split their six-game series with the Sharks. Phoenix has still lost seven of its last nine in San Jose, though. PHX Last year AT SanJose= L0-2, L2-3, W4-1...And AT PHX=W4-2, L2-3, W4-3.....NYRangers(-175) never ask a bad team(Leafs) to do a good thing for you vs a good team, and finally take Washington-1.5 goals at (+165) Caps looking to end 3 game slide in a big way back at home. Your day will end with a smile when you invest in these winning games. GL to all.
