Harder shot maybe than Orr but what the fuck are you smoking nobody and i mean nobody not Gretzky nobody was, is, over may ever be better than Bobby Orr. He could absolutely carry a game at any level and do what ever he wanted to in a hockey game.
I played a lot of hockey and i can't believe anyone could shoot a puck through that twine it is so tightly woven. Just an unbelieveable hard shot. I saw quite a few goals go through the net but it was because the mesh had not been checked properly before the game and there was already a hole in it. Another thing that is not old mesh those goal nets would have new mesh put on them regularly. Once again unbelieveable.

Joking or not you can drop Howe and Gretzky from the list of three Bobby Orr simply was the GREATEST. If you have never seen his DVD the Best OF Bobby Orr watch it he was and i think will always the best hockey player of all time. He turned a NHL game into looking like a pee wee hockey game with players chasing him all over the rink. He would shove players away like they were match sticks and carry the puck one handed. UNBEILIEVABLE.
I meant to add that i thank God i was born about the same time as he was and had the pure pleasure of watching his entire career from start to finish. And Bobby's career ended a way to soon for my liking. I think if his knees would not have given out he could have played at least 4 or 5 more good years. He was born and raised in Parry Sound Ontario and the minor hockey system there could probably be blamed for part of his knee problem. He was not very big and they had him playing pee wee, bantam and midget hockey all at the same time whenever he could fit games in. Way to many games on a boy whose bones were still growing. They have taken contact out of pee wee but back then it was full contact in pee wee, bantam and you can imagine a player 12 years old playing contact in Midget hockey against 15 and 16 year olds who were jealous of him and probably hammered him every chance they had.
