Made it out on the plus side yesterday. I'm gonna try going with some dogs this time... Let me know how you like the writeups since I normally don't do any, probably since I'm not the most confident of a writer...
But I'm bored and want to give it a try, so here goes...
Plays(Indians) JMasterson
+115 1u
(WhiteSox) CTorres Hope I don't jinx my hometeam...
This may seem like the spot where the Indians line value drops to something more realistic...... after coming up with the huge upset last night against Mr. Perfect, to keep their run chugging, and now finally the public realizes this Indians run is for real.
Now, Torres probably has more upside to put on a great outing, but the problem with a rookie pitcher on the his second start, after putting on a decent debut on his first... is that sigh of relief that comes from that their debut is over and done with and the fact it also went smoothly enough... is that they can sometimes forget that their career hasn't even begun to start yet, or have proved yet that they indeed belong here.
These hot Indians bats can get to Torres's head in a hurry. I also think the WhiteSox's lineup hasn't had enough hitting throughout it to continue offensive rallies lately.
Probably also a good over play, even though I don't play totals...
Milwaukee(Brewers) MParra
Houston(Astros) MHampton -101 1u Now, here is a spot I could see the Brewers come back to make this a series.... and people will be taking the Brew Crew for just that reason. Two pitchers both having iffy seasons, with Hampton being the shakier one as of last month. And WOW, look at this, they are very low juicy favorite to boot!
But, in my opinion, I still think the Brewers have the lesser guy on the mound. I trust Hampton more to pull his shaky season around, and he was strong his last outing. Houston looks like they might care enough to make a little mini run. Brewers are still floating a bit on that overconfident cloud, on the fact they gave the overrated Dodgers quite a series.
(Athletics) BAnderson +120 2u
(Royals) ZGreinke Kansas City showed me last game that they did not seem to care enough to start a little run, which they were in perfect position to last game if they really wanted to.
The pitching matchup ain't as big of a difference as it may first appear as well, Anderson has not had a bad outing for like 7 games or so... he's been on a roll and so have the Oakland bats. Royals just don't seem to give a damn, it appears..
Texas(Rangers) KMillwood ML +140 2u
LA(Angels) JerWeaver When you consider how Weaver has pitched in the last couple months, I could say I trust Millwood a lot more on the mound more so at this current time. Weaver hasn't had a truely ace outing since June 14th...
Rangers seem to want to prove they can win important road games, and are inspired to finally get a share of road wins finally. And even before last game, you can tell the Angels are having a little cool down period after their great run.
Good luck everyone
