I like to take out the bias when I'm capping. Watching Florida on t.v is amazing. Probably moreso in person. What I try to do is think against the box. If I want to be wanna of the 5% or so who actually make money I can't think like the other 95% of the people who don't. With all that being said anyone who frequents this site knows that I go after big dogs all the time and I press my luck on the moneyline.

This week will be no different.

YTD 1-8 ML
Picked BYU over Oklahoma lost everything else. Still up units.

Posted record ats
I know I've only posted 2 losers ats(troy last week and Oregon 2 weeks ago). All my other picks have covered. ATS record something and 2.

Why Tennessee can beat Florida.

1. Tennessee defended Florida as well as any team last year. At the final gun both teams had 16 first downs and Tennesse outgained Florida while holding the ball longer. The diffference was Tennessee's 3 t.os. Can they win if they play like that again? No. Are they physically up to the challenge? I think so.

2. Eric Berry vs. Tim Tebow. Honestly Eric Berry reminds of Bob Sanders. Not huge but the fucker is just everywhere. He's one of the two safeties in the NCAA I believe allow a defense to honestly account for Tim Tebow and still play sound defense.

3. Kiffin reminds me of a douchier Urban Meyer. It takes a certain bravado to be a big time program in the NCAA. It is the teams that drop 50 every time they get a chance that show up on year in and year out. I believe Kiffin is going to bring the attitude and ego necessary for Tennessee to do that. Getting players has never and will not be a problem for Tennessee. Getting those guys to play with Floyd Mayweather's ego is Kiffin's job. I think he can do it.

**************
These are side notes but I believe this season will be a lot like the year where S. Fla ended up being number 2 in the country at one point during the season. The best teams can't all go out and go undefeated. Each of those teams lost a game last year and I didn't see anything change with those teams besides the players getting a year older. They are all each still worth a loss.  In the end it will still be some form of Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, USC for the natty title game. I believe the conference with a title game have a distinct advantage in scheduling a huge game as a hurdle to a natty title. How many teams have won the nattty title without having to go through a conference championship game when they were playing against a team that did

Teams who played in a conference championship are 6-1 in the BCS title game when facing a team who did not play in a conference championship game. The sole winner was USC in 04 and they played Oklahoma after they faced a cupcake Colorado team in the Big 12 championship.  I'm just saying.

You may be right, but I am thinking that Meyer carries Kiffin out behind the woodshed

Aszzzzzz

I might agree with you except for the fact that Lane Kiffin ran his mouth and it was to Urban Meyer

This one will get ugly!!!

I picked Ole Miss to beat Florida last year so I know what to look for when picking big SEC upsets and let me tell you Florida WILL NOT lose this game.  I seriously doubt they fail to cover -28, but there is a snow ball's chance in hell of them losing SU to the vols.

But hey, if you feel that strongly about it, then fuck what anyone else says.  Quite a few laughed at me when I picked Ole Miss to go into the swamp and walk out with a SU win last season.  Guess who was laughing when the game was over.

The last time I checked they don't score the game by first downs

The final score was 30-6 Gators and they played at Rocky top

Gators were +3 on TO which leads to short fields and scores without racking up FD

Gators were favored by 7 and won by 24

Tennessee lay down for UCLA (again) and now you expect them to beat Florida.  I would like to see that happen but would not risk YOUR paycheck, even plus 28 1/2.   But, go Vols, anyway.

"Honestly Eric Berry reminds of Bob Sanders. Not huge but the fucker is just everywhere"

So, what your saying, azzz, is that Eric Berry is a lot like Rennie Curran?

Here's an interesting tidbit - in the last 25 years, there have been 9

games at the Swamp where Florida was facing a team that had just come

off a home loss and was more than a 26-point underdog.

Florida's SU record in those games? 9-0
Florida's ATS record in those game? 0-8-1

You know what they say... Lies, Damn Lies, and Statistics.

1.  I agree that Kiffin is doing the right thing for the TENN program, IN THE LONG RUN.

2.  UF is going to walk all over TENN this Saturday.

"Kiffin reminds me of a douchier Urban Meyer"

Now when you said that, you didn't mean the father, Monte, did you?

All kidding aside, I do like the pick [not the ml, but i'll take the points here]. Players from both sides amped up and all the hype goes away when the game starts. Gotta think Lane will have a few tricks up his sleeve that'll keep the game close. Dad Monte is a very creative DC, so I'm sure he's got some surprises for Tebow and Co. Sure on the other side, Meyer will be scheming the same too.

GL you'll need it...you need turnovers...and Tebow to not show up...heck I say go sabatoge a bus so Florida doesn't get to the stadium...

I don't think Monte Kiffin and the Tampa 2 defense is going to be of assistance in this one...So do you blitz, do you cover??  Tebow will probably have a few TD's in the air and on ground...

I still wonder how BYU turns the ball over 4 times and wins...so you are probably correct when you say he would have lost if Bradford was healthy.
jackdfan says:

The only problem for Tennessee is Urban has Tebow to watch his back, while Kiffin has that dipshit Crapton..........

If you can't recall what Urban does when a coach disses him, go check the score the year after Georgia rushed the field and started jumping up and down like jackasses.........................

Nice article but as your words state ... Why they CAN beat Florida.  You're stating they can, but you never state they WILL.  I'll tell you a couple reasons why they WON'T win.

1.  Tennesse's Special Teams and Defense - I saw Tennessee against Wyoming, and then again against UCLA.  Tennesee will rather give up field position than to kick to Brandon James.  You can not, will not, kick to him.  Florida's defense is 2 deep in every position and if you think Tennessee is going to OUTSCORE Florida, let's just stop right there and get real.

2.  Florida's Offense - I've been to both games in Gainesville.  Both games we had over 600 yards of offense.  I understand that Tennessee is a better defense but I still predicit 500 yards of offense.

3. Ben Hill Griffin Stadium - If this game was in Knoxville, maybe, but Gainesville is on fire after that jackass' comments.  It will be the loudest it will ever be inside of that stadium on Saturday.  Look out Lane Kiffin!!

Now I don't know if Florida will COVER, but they will win this game.

Good luck though...

You also would of lost the BYU ML bet if Bradford played

The Florida players are really pissed, from what I hear in the locker room

Tebow said , "I have Meyer's back on  this one. You don't talk to him like that." They PO the wrong guy !!

Hey Man way to get everyone up and pissed, lol.
I hate orange:  Fla, Clemson, Auburn, TN -
so if there was a way they could both lose....I'm for it!

30 is a huge number...so the smart money would be on TN....but that means that the books will have Fla....so the smart money is actually -30!

BOL either way.

I go to every Florida game, home and away. I feel like i know them better than almost everyone. Florida will not lose this game! Nor will they lose to LSU later in the year.

If you want to take advantage of a huge moneyline with Florida take Kentucky next week. Classic trap game coming off a big home game and their 1st road game of the year. They also could be looking ahead to LSU two week down the road.

i will never bet on tennessee as long as crompton is the qb.  as highly touted as he was coming out of high school, the dude just doesnt get it.  plus this tenn team couldnt even handle ucla at home.  i honestly cant see them scoring an offensive touchdown in this game.
CatchNRun says:

Tennessee's D will hold the gators under 40 points in this SEC rivalry game but will their offense manage 12 or 13? And who will play QB? Crompton looked like shit last week
