HOW is TEXAS a favorite today? Open Discussion - Please post

I live here in Austin, followed the team all yet and yet to place a wager on them. I look at all the "square" numbers on the game and see this as an outright K-State win, especially with our injuries and lack of run game which is key to take the pressure off our no-so-talented QB's at the moment. Please shed some light and your thoughts on this game.

I am betting big today on Texas and every post above tells you why. Way too many people believe K State is going to win this game outright and feel that K State getting 7+ is a gift. I have seen these lines to many times to take the bait. Taking Texas strickly becuase of the line. People in Vegas know more than we do. Texas as a home fav - more than a TD yet the public is all over K State. This line tells me Texas is the play. If the lines goes to -7 I will be bery pleased but will still Take texas up to - 9.5.

Just my thoughts.

"I am officially not playing KState it was a very strong lean but it is

so hard for a college team to "get up" and maintain a high energy level

for 4 big time games in a row. On top of that Kstate is coming off a

quadruple overtime win. Texas's defense is really good I see them

getting alot of stops today. I think this could be a game where we see

what happens when a "5 star player meets a 3 star player in open field."

And the 3 star players have to be a little fatigued where as the 5 star

players are motivated coming off a loss where no one could do anything

right. FML I just talked myself into taking Texas. 3.6 units to win 3. *Sigh* "

And you have Josie's, Orlando's, Spanky's.....eh, that's about it --> I grew up there, I was at the game your avatar is.... I'm going to stay away from the game I think. I like the angle of playing UT because the line is almost an "automatic" pick on K-State, I liked doing this when a key NBA figure was out of a game and the tendency was that the team would cover around %70 of the time without their star..pretty interesting IMO

If anything I'll put some small change on the K-State ML and hope the people of Austin get a win so they will come drink and party their asses off at my bar. BOL everyone!

Krwood, Couldn't have said it better. Fishy line. Everybody will be jumping all over KSt. I've been doing this a long time and I can smell a fishy line a mile away. Texas banged up. Blah, Blah, Blah. I am going to be all over Texas. BOL everyone.

I've wanted to play this since monday when I saw 9.5.

However, I was gun shy b/c i was stun by thinkin Tech would hang within 17.5 in Austin a few weeks ago.

K-state's weakness is pass defense and I just can't see how Texas is going to pass against them...they have Malcolm Brown back and a stud Bergeron (off an injury)....plus Ash can run the ball, seems to me Texas is going to pound the ball and run many reverses, etc. But that plays into KStates strength, which their #26 against the run, and #117 against the pass.

Can't see Texas passing well with their Frosh (shipley) out?

I'm baffled.

I'm on K State but i can see the other side. At home, there's a few points right there. And as the year goes on, the better this team is going to be. They are hands down one of the most talented teams in the country, and all they are lacking is experience, and fine tuning their abilities. Now that the year is nearing the end, this team is finally getting it together. This is going to be a special team in the next few years to come.

Regardless, Bill Snyder owns Texas, and 7.5+ is too much to give in this game.

I was just going to put up a post and I never do and ask all the people in here who say they are great at giving picks why nobody has posted Kansas State tonight. I took them yesterday getting 8.5 and plus 270 on the money line. I just dont get how nobody is even bringing this game up.

I've listened to 104.9 the horn and 103.1 all week...all the people who cover UT here are pretty sketch on a UT win, or at least the feedback on in the local media markets are not too positive in thinking we can come away with a win in this one.

UT can only get better after a performance like last week

My local lines are
UT -7.5 -130
K-State +195 ml

still a no play, again if any, a small ml bet with K-State
