SAS@NOH
The NOH picked up a lot of young talent in the offseason in Anthony Davis and Austin Rivers, along with Eric Gordon this nucleus is formidable. It is clear these kids can play but from watching preseason play a lot of issues were identified on the offensive end for this team with key buckets and a go-to-man not yet defined.
The Spurs as always will field a team of individuals who are coached by the maestro Popovich. The coaching ability of Greg is phenomenal he turns bench players into key role players and ensures everyone knows their role on the team. The upside to a lot of Popovich's schemes is that he has set rotations and a defensive and offensive scheme that is very methodical.
Despite the age of the core guys of Duncan and parker this team will continue to roll like they did towards the end of the season going on an insane ATS run.
Look for this team to continue to beatdown on rookie teams.

NBA VOL 1
DALLAS@LAKERS
Although many will say the 0-8 performance by the Lakers in the preseason stands for nothing. It does go along way to show strengths and weaknesses of the teams and how role/bench players can contribute to the team.
I can say with confidence the Lakers team is very much overrated. Sure Dwight is arguably the best centre in the game and Steve Nash is a notable improvement on Ramon Sessions, however the bigger picture is the Lakers depleted their bench and are getting run off their feet each and every single game.
The Lakers lost a lot of grit with players such as Matt Barnes and filled the void with a much softer player in Antawn Jamison. The overall toughness of the team has declined and compounded with the fact Nash doesn't play defense this team procured more problems than benefits in the offseason. The catch 22 situation is with Nash off the floor the offense is horrendous.
The Preseason exposed the inability of the lakers to contain strong dribble/penetration guards and inability to slow down athletic teams.
Although Dallas will most likely be without Nowitzski it is a blessing in disguise. Rookie Jae Crowder is a strong rebounder and has an insane motor. Bottom line the kid can play and what he lacks he makes up for in effort. The speed of Darren collision and the outlet ability of Marion will cause the lakers headaches all night.<... [More]

MINNESOTA LYNX@INDIANA FEVER
Now we all have seen what the Indiana Fever are capable and it is no question that this team has heart and Catchings is probably the best player out on the court at the moment. With any smaller team the pressure and fatigue of constantly having to outrun and outwork a bigger and more talented team eventually catches up and you will be run out the gym.
Game 3 is obviously the pivotal game and we must take the opportunity to punish the Lynx line. In gambling it is not often you get a better team who at the start of the season was favoured to win the championship at around (-200) laying only 3 points against a clearly less skilled opponent.
It is given the Fever will not lay down and get pushed over but the amount of effort they exerted in game 2 only to come out with a 12 point loss says a lot. You can only rely on Catchings so much to score in the half court set, the loss of Douglas has pushed other role players to step up and whilst the likes of Larkins and Phillips have contributed, the bench has not nearly done enough to push this team to a W.
The keys to this game for the Lynx are to limit turnovers and reduce the amount of transition baskets from the smaller and quicker fever guards. Lindsey Whalen showed last game why she is a USA point guard and look for her to have an enormous say in the outcome of todays game.
This would normally be a 5 unit play but we must give ourselves the opportunity to res...

IND@CON UNDER 152.5 --- 1 UNIT(Number is 150.5 at most places but still available at the 'exchange' for 152.5 at (-122)
This has been a play ive been eying all week. Along with the recent total movement against me i decided to pull the trigger. I had initially capped this game at 144. Recent matchups show that homegames for connecticut vs indiana have gone under.
For me this is a 1 unit play. The ability of Douglas and Catchings to get hot are scary factors but the probability of this happening along with maintaining 38 point quarters is worth a shot. The thing with game 1's is there is less of an element of a 'die or go home' situation. Players will play hard but not desperate. This is evident in game 1 of atl vs ind, where the fever played hard but really were not playing with the intensity they are capable of. The reliance of the fever on catchings and Douglas for offense is a key for the under play. Conneticut have a solid group of players with a couple of hard headed defenders. I personally love Tan white. Although she is not a large part of the rotation her ability to defend and cause chaos rubs off on teammates when she is on the floor.
Finally lets not forget the MVP, Tina Charles her presence on the floor may sometimes be forgotten but she is a big part f the defines. I am willing to bet 1 unit she doesn't allow Larkins to get as many put back rebounds and points that she did against the Atlanta forwards.
To conclude t...

BIG 3? 'NOAH' PROBLEMS
YTD DOCUMENTED NBA PLAYOFF RECORD: 20-17 (+43.30 Units)Breakdown Eastern Conference Finals Game 1
Game 1 will reveal a lot about defensive assignments, ability of the Miami offense against an established Bulls defense and whether Bosh becomes the 'X' factor within the series. It is evident there are a plethora of different matchup problems posed to either team however the most glaring is at the point guard position; with Rose most likely played by Chalmers and on occasions Lebron and Wade. The explosiveness of Rose is too much for Bibby to handle and expect Chalmers to play more minutes in this series. In terms of defensive assignments for Lebron and Wade the Bulls are not as weak as others may be quick to point out. Luol Deng is a solid defender and has had a sound record against Lebron. Bogans will be able to pester Wade while Brewer provides the length needed to somewhat slow down him down. Interior defense and toughness of Noah and Boozer will prove to be the difference as the Bulls have outrebounded the Heat in each of their 3 Wins. Obviously expect playoff intensity to be different however rebounding will be key in this victory and if trends don't lie, oddsmakers may have opened up a great opportunity for Game 1 investors.

3.30 PM ET LAL@DAL 10 UNITS: BREAKDOWNThis series has seen some very good shooting from the mavericks team as a whole. With such a reliance on the jump shot it may sometimes be your greatest weapon and your weakest attribute. This series has shown however that the penetration of Jason Kidd, playing out of the low post with Nowitzski and the spark Barea provides off the bench has generated enough open looks for the Dallas shooters. I find it intriguing that Rick Carlisle played JJ Barea rather sparingly in game 3, as he creates a load of matchup problems and he gives the team much needed points in the paint with his aggressive style of penetration. There is no doubt Ron Artest was greatly missed in Game 3 as bench rotations and having certain players not accustomed to rotating out to shooters had a great effect on the 'flow' of the Lakers defense. Game 4 will have a completely different outlook and mindset for Kobe. With his bold statements on the outcome of game 4 and his pass-first mentality in previous games having no success, Kobe will look to score and carry the lakers in...

Regular season record 2010-2011: 2-2Plays for today:
Detroit@Atlanta:
UNDER 190.5 - 50 UNITSIf you have been following the Atlanta hawks you will know they are one of the most offensively challenged teams in the league and their ability to draw fouls is atrocious. With some solid defenders in Horford and Hinrich Detroit will not be playing as loose as there previous 5 games scoring the ball in bunches. I dont post often but when i do, i try to post a play with a bit of research done in favour of gut feel.
I DO NOT GUARANTEE WINNERS, but i enjoy sharing my info to fellow cappers.

Hey guys im back after i took a year off and observed a lot of peculiar characters grace the site of covers. Im back and as always i like to take the first half of the season off to smooth out my rankings. Anyway onto my picks but just wanted to say i dont guarantee my picks will win every night and i post to offer insight not GUARANTEED winners.
Regular season record 2008-2009: 11-1-1
Postseason record: 2008-2009: 0-3
Regular season record 2010-2011: 0-0
Play for tommorow:
Washington @ New York : Pick NY -7.5 (buy 1)
This game is an easy lock for me and i have placed this bet in with great confidence. Observing the wizards at home defeat the celtics was something but observing how they play on the road is a totally different beast. The execution they bring down the stretch and just lack of energy they play with on the road is something to behold. John wall is a rookie i admire however he is still very young lacks a lot of poise and turns the ball over at a very high rate. I dont guarantee winners but i like my chances with NY at -7.5.

Hey guys im back and the playoffs are making me nervous, anyway here are my plays for today!
Play one:
BOSTON VS CHICAGO under 196.5Well i know how everyone is writing this will go over but in my experience the bulls being a largely jump shooting team will buckle under playoff pressure. Although Garnett is out the celtics still play defense. This could be a foolish pick by me by my gut feeling is chicago wont be shooting the lights out like the previous two meetings.
Play two:
Portland Vs houston (PORTLAND -4)This is a great matchup but too me the young legs of portland coupled with their stellar homecourt play can not be overlooked. portland takes this =]
Thoughts and feelings welcome
p.s just bet, dont regret =]

Hey dudes very nervous about todays plays but hopefully luck will do its thing =]
PLAY ONE:
ATLANTA VS HEAT UNDER 191
bet: 1unit
As in previous threads no resting starters for miami and hawks just blowing these cats out of the water will leave a very cruisy game going under 191!
PLAY TWO:
LAKERS VS UTAH (lakers -6)
bet: 1unit
This to me is a no brainer i didn't think twice just locked it in. should be the same for you guys =]
Goodluck to all, make love not war!

YTD: 5-0 (up 9.555 units)
Hey guys at the moment just one game i like:
MEMPHIS @ PHOENIX UNDER 220.5
BET: 2UNITS
This to me is a winner. Phoenix has just been giving more time to the bench as the season means next to nothing for them and their just having fun throwing up threes. Memphis can score but at the same time they aren't putting up huge numbers as there bench provides less than 15 points a night and only rudy and mayo providing about 35 combined points a night.
Thoughts and feelings welcomed =]
