They're defending so well at the moment and while history is meaningless in the Wayne Bennett era, the Dragons are 6-0 vs the Warriors at WIN.
Having said that, has anyone else noticed how many tries the Dragons have scored this season AGAINST the run of play ??! I think virtually every six pointer they posted against the Roosters was directly from a turnover, ie a an intercepted pass, a kick that ricocheted ect. They did the same against the Broncos in round 4 and a couple of their tries against the Eels came in similar fashion as well.
Obviously it's more than just good luck because their defense is creating a lot of the turnovers ect that result in points at the other end, but I haven't actually seen the Dragons construct too many tries of their own without a cross-field kick or a turnover involved.
Cross gone, most probably for the year with ruptured bicep.
Mullen sent for further scans today on shoulder. It popped out and back in v the Tigers, assessing whether the damage is muscular or ligament. If ligament, he'll be opened up and will miss up to 3 months.
Sau cleared of a fractured sternum and should play. King Benny has deep bone bruising and will be at the physio all week.
Mad Dog and Simmo back though. Dureau to play half. I'm hoping the line climbs before I consider Newcastle (10 would be nice).
Newcastle found cracks. Rapira is a big loss for NZ, but I think they are just the sort of side to go down to WIN and stick it to them.
I could see Brisbane finding it tough to be switched on mentally if Newcastle is missing some of those key guys

I do hate Manly, this is true. But that is not my reasoning tonight. I never thought that a fullback could make such a difference to a football side, but the statistics are damning and I don't care what you, second or bluefire say to the contrary.
They are 0-5 without Stewart this season.
I'm gonna win the Big 6 tomorrow Ace

Cheers mate. Mullen needs to be there for NSW, no doubt. All the Wallace detractors will disagree, but the kid has a better passing game, running game, defensive game and happens to be the best general play kicker in the NRL,

Good point. They are offensively challenged.
Hell, I tipped the Dragons but bet the Warriors plus the points, says it all really...

Hayne is a fullback I reckon, no other spot for him.

Titans on the road
If Newcastle can roll St George in Kogarah, why can't they roll the Titans at home, where they happen to be undefeated this year?
If the Titans can't win in Penriff, why will they win in Newcastle?
Let us have a closer look at the Titans early season roading prowess...
They travel to WIN Stadium and get comprehensively beaten - scoreboard was flattering to them that day.
They then have a great road win against the Storm, I'll give them credit for that.
They then travel to Nth Queensland to play a garbage Cowboys outfit. Lead 12-nil at the half and almost get run down. In fact, their only points in the second half was a penalty goal.
Next road trip is to Penriff, where they get flogged.
Titans road warriors
Amy Adams?
She's ok, she's no Isla or Rose. Can't think of who you had before Rose....
You cannot be serious?
Name me a deeper squad in the NRL this year?
Did you watch the Broncos game? Newcastle dominated every aspect of that match, and did it with over $1,000,000 of their cap in the stands
plus it was a jackpot round!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
needed knights 1-12 faaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrkkkkkkkkkkkk

C'mon Knights!!!!!!!

at Dairy Farmers Stadium, Kirwan, Townsville (QLD)My mistake. My thinking was remembering that they had 3 quality road wins.I was wrong. I owe Ozbat.I'll tell him when I'll pay up with some good info
As great as he is, he's capable of throwing some woeful face balls at times. tonight there were a couple of instances where he more or less just flung the thing in the general direction of nobody in particular, and that's where the ball ended up
Ah well, just goes to show how tough it is to remain "up" every weekend in this competition.
Newcastle played out of their skins, but I look forward to the rematch, as I'm sure do the Broncos
get in line behind Brisbane, dummy half running (or complete lack thereof) is their biggest flaw at the moment imo.
losing Michael Ennis for that Gorrell bloke =
Knights should be $1.40 for that imo
yup, but Israel is with it.
They've gotta get McCullough to take more ownership in that dummy half role
lol AB, you know it doesn't work like that.
