As we remember, the first time President Obama made negative comments towards Vegas he caught some flack. However this time I think it WAS PURPOSEFUL. This is what he said EXACTLY..
During a town hall meeting Tuesday in New Hampshire, Obama said: “You don’t go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage. You don’t blow a bunch of cash on Vegas when you’re trying to save for college. You prioritize. You make tough choices. And it’s time your government did the same.”
Now, President Obama is 100% correct in his comments and in terms of how one should be sound fiscally. However, I BELIEVE that he snuck in the Vegas remark as PAYBACK to Sen. HARRY REID for his comments that were revealed in the scathing book recently. When he used the term NEGRO in reference to President Obama. Anyone who follows politics surely knows that Sen. Reid already faces a very tough re-election campaign. Prez Obama is accutely aware of this. He has however, chosen to "sneak attack" Harry Reid, Under the GUISE of SAYING SOMETHING POSITIVE, the same way Harry Reid acted like he was in 1864 when referring to President Obama as a NEGRO (in 2010) UNDER THE GUISE OF SAYING SOMETHING POSITIVE..

That stands HALF A CHANCE. The Republican Response was terrible. I don't know which was worse, tonight's "Mini state of the union" from a brand new & barely elected governor or the timid & soft spoken, Bobby Jindal from last time (LMAO). Obama for 8 years, I LUV IT BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the substance, there is really no problem with the "point" of what Sen Reid said. What he is REALLY saying is that "In general, most Black guys remain intimidating to many white people. But, this guy, Sen. Obama, is a guy with NO "easily identifiable" black attributes, "like ebonics or slang" or whatever one wants to associate with black folks. Therefore, he is "passable" to white society at large & I support his candidacy.
OK. Now here's the problem: The word NEGRO. The word NEGRO on it's surface is just a word. However, the term comes was used and it comes out of a time where "bigotry, racism, apartheid, Jim Crow, Civil War etc. etc" were common place. So by using the word NEGRO in 2010, it makes you wonder like "Who the FUCK says THAT anymore" and then your mind wonders to someone's real motives...
As you guys know, I always try to add to the forum & I hope my comments were clear & understood.
