Charlie Crist. Seriously. The fact that he has feigned an engagement (to fend off...<clearing throat>....rumors....shows he is serious.

I know you said hypothetically, but George W, Bush is (thankfully) constitutionally unqualified from holding the office of the presidency ever again.

George H.W. Bush could run though.

I remember a thread before, that discussed,if Hillary had won the election ..if she could in fact appoint Bill Clinton as her VP. ?

22nd Amendment :

Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.

Several congressmen, including Rep.Barney Frank and Sen. Harry (Negro dialect ) Reid have introduced legislation to repeal the Twenty-second Amendment, but each resolution died..

The courts have never been required to make a judgment,so it's not clear if a fmr.two time President could later be elected—or appointed—Vice President.
