When I got to Vegas eating is secondary to gambling. I have also eaten from the top down to buffets (I like buffets better sometimes), BUT everysingle buffet, including, MGM, MANDALAY & RIO all DO NOT SERVE GRITS!! I PISSED OFF AT THIS!! I'm from the SOUTH & we like our GRITS!! Fuck a hashbrown!! (I think I said something about it last I was there, I wonder if it has changed. HMMMMMM!!)

About 2 years ago. I have been gambling online for about 10 years now & have always Western Unioned $$ overseas. Sometimes, to Betwwts, Bodog, Bookmaker, & Now The Greek. Well I would always send at least $400 about 4 times per week. And then I caught fire like hell. I started with a $2500 3team parlay at the greek paying to win $13,308. I HIT THAT MOTHERFUCKER. I then ran the 13k up to 28k. In about a month. I was receiving Western Union maxes of $4500 everyweek. Then one day Western Union calls and asks ALL KINDS OF SHIT: 1) whats ur occupation 2) what is your current pretax income 3) what banks do you bank with) 4) what are your account #s 5) I WAS LIKE WTF?? I HUNG UP & THEY BANNED ME. I have since moved 2 another state & now send through a NETSPEND Card so Ive slipped through the cracks. Lets keep our fingers crossed fellas..

I've noticed that unlike any other city I have visited, you can pretty much take any amount of $$ you want through the airport AS LONG AS YOU'RE GOIN TO VEGAS. I have personally traveled with up to $12k on my person, & my gambling./traveling partner has never taken any less than 20k cash & neither of us has ever had a problem goin 2 vegas with this much $$$ (I guess because its assumed u are going 2 gamble maybe). However, this same guy was stopped traveling with 8k going down to miami and I was stopped with 6k going to NY....... Any thoughts or experiences would be welcomed........

Here's mine:
Shopping: Forum Shops (Caesars Palace) hands down
Gambling: MGM or Bellagio
Atmosphere: Bellagio or Wynn (The Hotel is close) Never been 2 Venetian except to buy cologne at Saphora.
Fine Dining: 1. Craftsteak (MGM) 2. Stripsteak (Mandalay) I know others may be rated higher like Joel Rubuchon, but Ive never been there cuz Im never "dressed appropriately" lol.
Clubs: Rain, Cherries, 40/40, Jet, Studio 54
Leisure: Shark Tank at Mandalay Bay & take the private behind the scenes tour. Helicopter ride over Grand Canyon.
Strip clubs?? Only been to one. So I will defer to your suggestions
Buffet: Rio, but I have the same gripe with everyone of them & told them so. For breakfast, WHERE ARE THE FUCKIN GRITS. Im from the south & we like grits. Fuck that hash brown shit!!
Events: MGM Grand Garden Arena

When I attended the Mayweather v. Ricky Hatton fight, it was tense as a motherfucker n there. All week & weekend u had English lads walking around n packs in the casinos singing chants & bumping into people while stone drunk. Also inside of the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Englishmen outnumbered Americans at least 12-1 had 2 be. To make matters worse, Tyrese sung our National Anthem & because they had so many people they disrepectfully drowned out the USA national anthem & overshadowed it with "theres only one Ricky Hatton. One Ricky Hatton. Walking along, singing a song" etc. After Mayweather knocked Ricky Hatton out. You LITERALLY had grown me crying & balling over Ricky losing, some were angry as hell & some apologized for their fellow countryment disrespecting our national anthem.

I have a question.
I have noticed that in Vegas if a 0 or 00 comes up it wipes the board clean but n Atlantic City u get half your $$ back.
(Has anyone else noticed this, or can explain if thats AC policy, or is my memory fuzzy)

MGM- I always win & lose the most here
Mandalay- Im even. I know this because I was stayin at The Hotel for Bernard Hopkins v. Winky Wright & I went with 7k. I bet 5k on winky & lost then went to sleep & won exactly 5000 back playin roulette & left Vegas even for the trip.
Ceasars-I think Im up a couple grand. I never stayed there but go very often as I LOVE the FORUM SHOPS. I just gently drop between 200-1500 on a color at the roulette table as I stroll by.
Bellagio- I am up. I love it.
Wynn- Played there long enough just 2 get rated. They send me stuff all the time. Im rated at $400 per roll.
Encore- Personally Invited 2 grand opening, Did not attend.

What is the largest action u ever witnessed n Vegas??
Here is mine: Walking into MGM i said "man it's alot of people at that craps table". My partner who is probably 6'6 said thats roulette I said no way its too many people around cheering & stuff. As we get closer there is a dude, I'll never forget, mid 50's white guy, salt pepper hair, black t-shirt & jeans, solid gold presidential rolex no diamonds. This dude was playing roulette in the middle of everyone, but he had a special table roped off 2 himself. HE WAS BETTING 125,000 PER SPIN AT THE ROULETTE WHEEL. This what he was doing. There are 35 #s on the wheel, he was covering like 30 of the 35 #s in the field at like 4 grand per #. Each time he hits it pays 36 to 1 odds. Everytime he would win he would send out a round of patron & pinapple or cranberry for a crowd of like 150-200 people just standing in amazement. Im not gonna lie I stood about 7 or 8 minutes then left out of amazement & disgust that someone has the $ to bet like that & also I left to try to get me sum $$. I quickly won $2600 at another roulette table in the corner.

Many people wonder why they always see scores of Asians at the biggest tables & games in casinos. Well here it is:
The reason the are so agressive is cuz it is a part of their CULTURE. Gambling & Asians go together. If they lose they just feel like its not their season yet (nothin big). If u read up many CEO's & dignitaries have been hanged in China & Asia for losing millions in public $$ & such.
Personal story: I was at MGM at the JAy-Z/Beyonce concert. I gamble pretty big (in my eyes) avg. bout $500 per roll. Any way, I ran like 2k up to like 11k in about 6 hrs. I then lost 12 k back in like 40 minutes. So, I was depressed as shit!! On my way back 2 the room I it was me & an asain guy on the elevator. I was like man Im down like 10k. He just looked!! I said, what u down?? He was like $85,000. I was like ouch. I was like cash or markers he was like MARKERS. I was like double ouch!! It's all relative!!

The only POSSIBLE way & I mean POSSIBLE way is if your man is very valued by the casino & has a gracious host. As a VIP guest at all Vegas establishments I have done just this thing. Here goes the story. I sent my parents on a trip to Vegas & it was going to be their first time there. Their flight landed about 5 hrs prior to mine. So, I told my host to make sure (& I implied that my business would be contingent on this) to let my parents check in on my dime (well not really cuz everything was comped but u get the point) because I WILL NOT have my parents toting luggage around for 5 hrs. THEY OBLIGED. So, what Im saying is, your buddy can call & explain that his flight is arriving later but he's out there as the best man in a wedding & the boys need to start setting up for the festivities ASAP. Now of course, they wont know that he's never going 2 show but it's your only shot!!

About 3 years ago, I went on a casino boat outside of Myrtle Beach, SC. I gamble often and fairly big & decided to take my chances with about 3k.Anyway, roulette is my game of choice. I only bet on the "outside", primarily colors at anywhere between 100-2500 per spin all depending on how I feel ($2500 is the most I ever bet at once, in the casio and I hit in at Mandalay Bay, I am rated at about 500 avg bet according to my casino host) So, on this boat the table max is 500. So, Im doing pretty good & and because I'm up about $1k I ask can I raise the table limit. The dealer goes and confers with the pit boss & comes back and says ok. So, I reach in my pocket, pull out cash & bet $1,000 on red. As, the ball is spinning & my 10 100dollar bills are on the table the pit boss runs over and says "cash no play" "cash no good" (in the middle of my BET) Before he ends his speech of course it lands on RED. I won. So, I composed myself & said calm down cuz these motherfukers can't win cheating & I believe that to my core u cant win cheating. So, I decided to double up & get 2,000 in chips ahead of time and BET BACK ON RED. I felt damn good about this. The dealer spins the ball. As the ball is spinning, the damn pit poss comes to the wheel & starts STACKING CHIPS ON THE RIM OF THE ROULETTE WHEEL WHILE MY BALL IS IN MOTION. I was listening to NPR on yesterday 7/17 (about 6 p.m. EST) & they had a featured guest on there talking about how all three major independent studies have reached the same conclusion. What is that conclusion you ask? The conclusion is that in baseball, umpires are more likely to call strikes with a pitcher who is of the same race as they are and less likely to call strikes with a person of a different ethnicity. In basketball, all studies concluded that refs are more likely to make calls for "like" players and more likely to call fouls against "different players". Now, from a handicapping perspective this is very troubling. So does that mean if the Dallas Mavs are playing Orlando Magic and all the refs are white then we should give dallas & dirk say 1 point for the "RACE" factor. (gentlemen, this is a high level discussion. I happen to believe that many handicappers are very intelligent & educated. I for one have a Ph.D. I look forward to this intense discussion and any scenarios that anyone can add to either support or disprove this report. My first post on Covers in about 5 years. I was around with "getliquid & buddywright" (Been handicapping pretty strong recently still though). Vegas is my favorite city so I will contribute 2 the thread.
Celebrity Encounters: Darn near everyone. I go to all major fights, went 4 the Jay-Z/Mary J Blige Concert, Tiger Jam and for the NBA Allstar game. To name a few:
Charles Barkley- crashed our VIP section cuz some guys brought in a table for him & place it directly in front of our VIP booth. He was with three white women. I believe one was his wife cuz she had a boulder on her finger.
Sugar Shane Mosely- My homeboy I was with is about 6-5 250 & a thug. We were staying at The Hotel in Mandalay Bay for the BHop & Winky Wright fight (which cost me $5,000 on Winky. He was cheated) & my boys wife came out of the room first with a real short skirt on. By the time he came out Sugar shane was trying 2pick up his old lady. He claims he was 2seconds off his ass but I try 2tell him that he still COULD NOT take sugar shane (now in an elevator he would have a good chance)
Magic Johnson- Shook my hand while walking through studio 54 club in MGM. Magic & Iverson were throwing the party. Months later, I was at some club in The Hotel that my VIP host set me up with a comp table. So my wife & I went in. Only 2 realize...
