Is there any safe off shore book for the upcoming football season???

I'd like to find a safe company to bet with starting in August. Any thoughts on who to trust? No local bookies for me guys.

What are your personal betting rules???

I've been bad this year after a banner 2009. Back to basics is always the way to go.

For what it's worth, my rules are...

1. Play your own picks.

2. Review what other sharps are saying with a grain of salt.

3. Consider the scores of recent games and opponents.

4. Bet less when losing & more when winning.

5. Remember the tradition in college football. Their is more emotion and that almost always plays a role.

6. Try not to chase when losing.

7. Play what you know. I'm a football guy, but I sometimes do baseball & hockey.

8. Don't get too happy when you win and don't take it out on yourself when you lose.

9. Forget the betting services. I tried using them way back in the day. They are just throwing darts for the most part. Total clowns and good fella goons from my experience. The internet gives ya just about every angle.

10. The last is one Im going to start doing if I can get back on a roll here. Use at least 3 off shore books so you can get the best line for your games. That's just smart. It's a pain in the ass to set up the accounts for payouts, but can save ya some nice coin.

Oh.. and don't tell your wife or girlfriend. They have to put up with ya when you lose and they want you to buy them more stuff when you win! LOL!

Are fixed games something to consider when wagering?

It is estimated by many so called experts that a good percentage of games are influenced by college players or referees that are taking money under the table. This seems likely given the millions that major universities are making each year. So... should we as bettors have any trepidation when betting on certain teams that have a history of throwing games?

Psychopath gets 2 weeks!!!

In the real world you can't personally strangle and drown dozens of mans best friends and just go back to work. Would you be OK with embracing a coworker like that?

People like Vick DO NOT get better. That is the way they are wired!

This is not a second chance for this fiend. He's a repeat offender and worse.

This is a very sad day for me as I love the NFL. It has certainly lost it's shine tonight in my eyes. This league continues to look the other way to wife beaters, and thugs.

Anything for profit Goodell? I think you just answered that.

MLB is a joke!

OK First, I'm from Pittsburgh so now that's out of the way.

The same six or so teams finish at top of the standings year in and year out in MLB! The absence of a salary cap dooms the rest. It is a bad joke unless you are a Yankees, Red Sox, Atlanta, or Cardinal fan.

The only real drama in baseball is in October when these same teams see each other again. At least there is something at stake then.

The argument that teams can compete if they develop is right is also a farse. Those organizations may sniff the October leaves but they end up paying the price when breakout performers are lured away by the "haves" soon after. Not to mention the yearly fire sale that occurs after the all star break! Hmmm... who can we buy now to create our one shot in the fall.

We just had our "Sale of the Century" in the burgh in hopes that some of the prospects will become REAL major league calibur talent. The poor Pirates may become somewhat competitive by 2011 but once again the cream will run for NY & Boston.

There is a wait and see here on weather the Bucs will sign the better players when they peak. Forget it. They are making great profits by keeping the tidy revenue share that they get and still selling off the best guys.

My final point is that it's BORING!!! You may be excited in the BIG towns, but in the rest of the country they don't even know the games are on to tune them in at the bars. If the NFL is playing it's front and cente... [More]
