Haven't had time to post any plays so far this tourney.. I haven't made any bets either. Been enjoying this tourney so far! Most exciting tourney in a while! Let's get this boys!!!
Syracuse -6.5 (5u)This game may look like a "sucker bet" which I would consider it one normally. However, looking further I think this is a great number to be laying here. Everyone knows that the Orange will once again be without 6'9" center Arinze Onuaku, this obviously hurts the team. I expect Rick Jackson and 7'0" freshman DaShonte Riley to defend Robert Sacre well.
Gonzaga has had great success in the NCAA Tourney the past few years. This team is not as good as Few's past teams IMO. Gonzaga has had trouble against top seeds in the past, going 0-4 against them. This game is played in Buffalo, NY so expect the Orange to have a big crowd turnout today.

Just saw the matchups for the NIT...
Here is one that caught my eye...
(2) Rhode Island vs. (7) Northwestern
I will definitely play this game if Northwestern is getting points!

Was 4-2 on posted plays last week for conference tourneys.
Old Dominion/VCU Under 131.5 This should be a very interesting game today in the CAA. In their first meeting at VCU, VCU won 70-58. The total was set at 132 and went Under by 4 points. The next game at Old Dominion, Old Dominion pulled out the W 73-70. This total was at 134. The total went Over by 11 points. This would lead one to believe the Over would be the play today.
If you take a closer look you will see that in their last game, VCU shot 51.8% from the field and Old Dominion shot a ridiculous 56.6% from the field. VCU also shot 42.9% from behind the arc, Old Dominion shot 42.9%.
Both teams shot remarkably from the field in their last game, I don't see these numbers being close again. That performance was rare. Add the fact that this is an important conference tournament game, and both teams will slow down the tempo in this one.

Yesterday: 1-2
These will not count for record, but I was on Marquette +5.5 and Louisville +6.5 for 12:00.
Duke -1.5Duke is the better team IMO. Duke's guard play exploits Georgetown.
George Washington/Rhode Island Under 146Two slower paced teams here in conference play. Only way I see this going over is if a lot of threes are hit for both teams and many free throws are shot.

I went 8-1 yesterday on my posted picks. Had a very good day. On to Friday, hopefully I continue.
Columbia +8.5 (BIG)
I like Columbia in this spot for many reasons. Harvard is tied with Cornell for the best team in the Ivy League IMO. Harvard is also tied with Cornell on the top of the conference standings at 2-0. Harvard's two wins aren't very strong wins. They are both against the worst team in the conference, Dartmouth. The main factor in this play is that Harvard plays Cornell TOMORROW! Columbia also plays tomorrow, they play a team they should beat rather easily in Dartmouth. Harvard is a very young team, now I played in high school and if I had two back to back games, I would always care more about the better team on our schedule. You would think these guys would do the same. The game tomorrow means so much more for Harvard, the game today means much more to Columbia, this would be a statement win for them. Harvard also hasn't done very well as favorites this year. They have never have gave this many points, the closest that they covered -5.5 at home against a bad Rice team. 8.5 points seems like a gift when you look at the history of when these conference teams meet. Columbia won five of the last six meetings and are 4-1 SU in the last five games
at Columbia in this series. Columbia is 5-2 ATS in the last seven
meetings and other than a 20-point Columbia blowout in 2007 the average
margin of the last nine meetings is just 6.7 points. The road team ...
