The Vikings are so F*cking stupid to trade Rosenfels

OK, I am not saying that Sage Rosenfels is a great QB, or even a good QB.....

But come on. He's light years ahead of Kordell McVickPepper, who now will be the only Qb option if anything should happen to Favre, or next year, should there even be a next year given the labor troubles the NFL faces.

What I don't understand is this; if these NFL coaches and personnel are so damn smart, how can they not see what I can see. That is, that Tarvaris WynnPepper cannot see more than 3 yards downfield, can't complete a pass in a big situation, doesn't run enough to make up for his inability to throw a pass.....

These guys really are dumb. Now, Favre will probably stay healthy so it won't matter much this year. But the whole goal is to have the best talent available all the time, and vikings blow this stuff all the time.

Jackson was steadily improving. His 2008 numbers were 6.4 ANY/A. Rosenfels was only 5.7. He did even better in limited action in 2009. Rosenfels is really on the backslope of his career. At 32, you expect the numbers to go down. At 27, you expect them to go up.

You mention rushing. Jackson gets 14.3 yds a game. Rosenfels only 3.1. I'm not sure exactly what you are looking at when you say Rosenfels is a better QB. He isn't.

Casheasey;

I've been saying this for a few years!

This whole Favre thing has been great, but only is temporary!

Hopefully Tavris comes out of it learning something from the Favre-ster

But YEA what about when Brett is done????? Are they really putting the whole future

on Jackson??? Whew!!! Who will back him up?

Been a Viking fan since the days of Joe Kapp......this is a very troubling situation!

Looks like Reynaud may help the Giants, he looks good.

Casheasy that really sucks, I was hoping he would bet a chance sooner than later. Did you see his game against the Rams this pre-season? I thought he was going to be next up after Favre hangs it up. Peace.................

I agree with you 100%. Even though I'm not a viking fan I was really glad to see them pick Sage up last season, I think he would have done just fine as the starter even last year. I don't understand why one of the other teams that need a real QB didn't try to get him.

Spurgeon McVickPepper has not improved much for the vikings in his 4 years. again, watch him play. He can't lead a two minute drive for a game winning score. His vision downfield is non existent. The one thing he can do is throw the slant route with decent accuracy. Other than that, he's absolute rubbish. He dumps the ball off to the fat, slow fullback in that dumb west coast scheme anytime there's a lick of pressure. His deep ball is pathetic for a guy with a good arm. He just slings in the general direction of his intended target off a 5 step drop and hopes his WR gets to it. They usually don't. Marcus JacksonPepper is probably about the 25th best starting QB in the league when he starts. Ask yourself this. Why didn't the Giants want him instead of Rosenfels????
