FREE NHL: NY Islanders Vs New Jersey

Jesse Schule is on a SENSATIONAL 17-2 (89%) Run with his free picks. Whatever you do, Don't miss out on Winner #18 as he gives his inside info in the hot NHL matchup. Check out the analysis below:

Pick: U (NYI at NJ)

Start: January 31, 2013 - 7:00 PM

Capper: Jesse Schule
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Jesse_Schule

Offered at: pinnacle @ Under 5.5 -145

Analysis:

I had the under in the Devils last game in Boston, and I had the following to say: "At the age of 40, it would only be natural for Martin Brodeur to show a noticeable decline in his play. Well, Marty might just be unnatural, because he's still getting the job done as well as any net-minder in the league. Brodeur is 3-0-1 with a 1.69 GAA average so far this season

As it turned out, Brodeur didn't even get the start, as Marty got the night off, and Johan Hedberg came in and did an excellent job in his place. Hedberg stopped 27 of 28 shots, and he was 5 minutes away from recording a shutout against the Boston Bruins, until Boston tied it late, eventually winning in a shootout 2-1. While Hedberg was brilliant, I would be shocked if Marty didn't get the start at home on Thursday versus the Islanders.

New York is coming off a shocking blowout win over Pittsburgh, with Evgeni Nabokov slamming the door on the high flying Penguins. Nabokov made 37 saves, and it wasn't until 18:51 of the 3rd period that Pittsburgh broke up his shutout bid. The Islanders went o... [More]

Oregon vs Stanford FREE Winner

Today's featured FREE play comes from expert Marc Lawrence. A perfect 3-0 NCAAB sweep last night improved Marc's college hoops to an impressive 15-7-1 run. Marc is also riding a long-term 409-304-14 All Sports record. Check out his expert analysis here.

NCAAB: Oregon vs Stanford, January 30, 2013 - 11:00 PM

Capper: Marc Lawrence
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Marc_Lawrence

Pick: Stanford -2.5

Analysis:

Play On: Stanford

Note: For years, the mantra in this series for Stanford was “there’s no place like home” as the Cardinal have posted a 20-2 record SU and 15-6-1 ATS at Maples Pavilion versus the Ducks since 1990.  However, both of those SU home losses came during the last couple of seasons at the hands of Dana Altman’s crew, and you can add a 2011 road loss at Eugene into the mix.

This double-revenge situation from 2012 brings up an interesting stat from our database: Stanford is 18-9-1 ATS with double revenge from the previous season, including a 6-1 ATS mark versus teams with a win percentage above .830. Meanwhile, Oregon has struggled in games after facing Washington (the team that defeated them in the Pac-12 title game last year), going just 3-7 SU the last ten skirmishes, including 0-2 ATS the last two away, in post-Husky tilts.  Johnny Dawkins will have the defending NIT champs clicking their red heels Wednesday night as the Cardinal starts a new Maples winning streak against the dastardly Ducks. ... Wisconsin vs Ohio State FREE Winner

Today's featured FREE play comes from expert Bryan Power. After cashing Sacramento (OUTRIGHT!) & Boston (NHL) on Monday, BP's 10* Run now stands at an INCREDIBLE 21-3-1 L25! This includes a PERFECT 8-0 Run the last 3 days! Overall, BP is 30-14-1 w/ ALL Plays the last 9 days! Check out his expert analysis below.

NCAAB: Wisconsin vs. Ohio St., January 29, 2013 - 7:00 PM

Capper: Bryan Power
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Bryan_Power

Pick: Wisconsin +6.5

Analysis:

5* Wisconsin (7:00 ET):  This seems like an overlay, no? Both teams come into tonight at 5-2 in Big 10 Play, trailing conference co-leaders Michigan and Indiana by only one game. Wisconsin has been involved in three straight close decisions, and while they've come out on the short end of the stick in two of them, those losses have come by a combined six points. The Badgers won Saturday, beating Minnesota by one point.

Ohio State managed to beat #1 Michigan a few weeks back and will have a rematch with the Wolverines next Tuesday.  While beating Michigan is impressive, little else has been for the Buckeyes this season. They were blown out at Illinois and also fell by three at Michigan State.  The bottom line is that other than Deshuan Thomas, this team doesn't have a reliable scoring threat.

Wisconsin went to Indiana earlier in the year and pulled off the outright win. Again here, they are getting far too little respect from the oddsmakers. Af... [More]

Dallas vs Columbus FREE Winner

Today's featured FREE play comes from expert Bryan Power. Off a PERFECT 5-0 SWEEP Sunday, Bryan "The Real Deal" Power is now 28-12-1 with all picks the last 8 days. Check out his expert analysis below.

NHL: Dallas vs Columbus, January 28, 2013 - 7:00 PM

Capper: Bryan Power
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Bryan_Power

Pick: Dallas Moneyline

Analysis:

5* Dallas (7:05 ET):  As expected, the Columbus Blue Jackets haven't looked very good so far. After opening the year with a surprising 3-2 win at Nashville (as a +150 dog), they've lost four straight games, getting outscored 16-6 in the process. Monday sees them starting the week in a situation that has been most unfavorable the past two seasons & has already resulted in one blowout loss here in 2013....

That situation I'm speaking of is the club's 0-14 record when coming off a division loss by one goal.  Just last week saw the Blue Jackets continue this putrid run with a 5-1 loss at Phoenix.  At the time, the team was coming off a 3-2 loss to Detroit in their home opener two days prior. They've since been shut out by Colorado (4-0) and then lost again Saturday, at home, to Chicago, 3-2, which would land them in the situation I spoke of above as they get set to face the Stars tonight.

Dallas has had no issues winning in Columbus previously, winning 15 of their last 22 visits, including both last season. Following back to back close one-goal losses to Chi... [More]

Drake vs Missouri St. FREE Winner

Today's featured FREE play comes from expert Marc Lawrence. Marc went 2-1-1 with his NCAAB picks yesterday and is ready to make some major profits today. Check out his expert analysis below.

NCAAB: Drake vs Missouri St., Januray 27, 2013 - 3:00 PM

Capper: Marc Lawrence
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Marc_Lawrence

Pick: Missouri St. +1

Analysis:

Play On: Missouri State
Note: When the Bears host the Bulldogs in a Missouri Valley Conference clash at the JQH Arena Missouri State will do so knowing they are 17-3-1 ATS a host in this series.

With Drake in off a 5-point win as 10-point dogs, and the Bears off a 1-point loss, look for those numbers to improve here today.  We recommend a 1-unit play on Missouri State.  Thank you and good luck as always.

FREE COLLEGE HOOPS WINNER

Bruce Marshall has PROFITED +$10,278 over the past 7 Days alone.  The last 8 Saturdays he is 47-25 (+$14,740). This Saturday he has a number of guaranteed picks for sale, but he is also kind enough to give away his Winner on UC Riverside Vs UC Davis in College Hoops.... FREE.

Pick: UC Riverside

Start: January 26, 2013 - 10:00 PM

Capper: Bruce Marshall
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Bruce_Marshall

Offered at: pinnacle @ 8.5 -106 UC Riverside

Analysis:

Before discounting under-the-radar Riverside, note that the Highlanders have been playing representative hoops the past few weeks.

Efforts include taking favored Fullerton and Long Beach to the wire, beating a capable UC Irvine, and then pushing a hot Pacific team into the final minute at Stockton on Thursday night. The emergence of 6-10 Aussie newcomer Chris Patton (19.7 ppg last three outings) has been a big plus for HC Jim Woolridge's side.  Moreover,  it's hard hard to ignore the curious recent pointspread success of the road team (now 6-0 vs. number last six after Thursday’s game vs. Cal State Fullerton) in games featuring Kimberly Guilfoyle's alma mater UC Davis.  The Aggies, a loser vs. Fullerton, will have a hard time pulling away from scrappy UCR at The Pavilion.  Play UC Riverside Rating-6

FREE PENGUINS Vs JETS WINNER

Sean 'The Paddy' Murphy had an OUTRAGEOUS 10-2 (83%) Card yesterday, which included going 8-1 in the NHL. Tonight he steps out with a FREE winner on the Penguins Vs Jets matchup. Sean Murphy will continue his winning ways this Friday, just make sure you are not the only one missing out!

Pick: U (PIT at WIN)

Start: January 25, 2013 - 8:00 PM

Capper: Sean Murphy
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Sean_Murphy

Offered at: bookmaker @ Under 5.5 120

Analysis:

What to expect: Marc-Andre Fleury and Ondrej Pavelec will steal the show on Friday night in the 'Peg as the Penguins and Jets are involved in a lower-scoring game than most are anticipating. The last two meetings in this series produced 13 and 12 goals, so it's no real surprise that we're being offered a plus-money return with the 'under'. However, it's also worth noting that the two meetings in Winnipeg last year totaled only three and five goals. The Penguins made it look easy in Philadelphia and New York last weekend, but ran into some trouble against Toronto last time out, falling by a 5-2 score. This isn't a team that's going to get rattled by one loss, but I do think we'll see them continue to lag a bit offensively. The Jets busted out with a four-goal performance in Washington on Tuesday, but were held to only one goal in each of their first two games. While the Pens are known for their offense, they also possess a pretty solid defensive corps, and they should bring the p... [More]

FREE TENNESSSEE Vs MISSISSIPPI WINNER

Bryan ' The Real Deal' Power  had another RED HOT 5-1-1 card last night, bringing his total PROFITS over the last 4 days to $9,876. Tonight he his giving away his inside knowledge on this College Hoops matchup. Hop on board with Power with this FREE Winner and bust your bookie tonight!

Pick: Tennessee

Start: January 24, 2013 - 7:00 PM

Capper: Bryan Power
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Bryan_Power

Offered at: bookmaker @ 9 -110 Tennessee

Analysis:

5* Tennessee (7:00 ET):  There is no doubt that in his third year at Oxford, Ole Miss coach Andy Kennedy has his most talented team.  At 4-0 in SEC play, the Rebels rank third in the country in scoring (82.4 PPG) and are looking great.  But the reality of the matter is that the SEC is in a down year and who have the Rebels really beaten? They have yet play either Kentucky or Florida. I think we have an overlay tonight.

One team Mississippi has beaten is Tennessee, who they will meet again tonight. On January 9th, these teams met for the 1st time and the Rebels embarrassed the Vols in Knoxville, winning 92-74 as a slight dog. Ole Miss didn't even shoot particularly well, but it bears mentioning they attempted 44 free throws, making 38 of them. Meanwhile, Tennessee shot poorly, making only 38.5% of all attempts.

Word is that several Volunteers players were unhappy with some of the theatrics of Mississippi guard Marshall Henderson, who... [More]

Raptors vs Heat FREE Winner

Today's featured FREE play comes from expert Ben Burns. While he had to settle for a split yesterday, Ben Burns is off to a 5-3-1 start to the new week. That incudes a 3-1-1 mark in the NBA. He's now 47-24 his L71 pro basketball plays. Check out his expert analysis below.

NBA: Toronto vs Miami, Januay 23, 2013 - 7:30 PM

Capper: Ben Burns
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Ben_Burns

Pick: Toronto +11.5

Analysis:

It can be a little nerve-racking to go against the defending World Champions. The Heat are capable of a big win every time out, a fact that the Raptors are well aware of.

The champs have had an extended layoff here though and they're laying double-digits at the betting window.

Facing a scrappy Raptors team, which has been competitive nearly every time it has taken the floor, I feel the number may prove a little high.

The Heat haven't played for nearly a week. Their most recent game was last Thursday, at LA.

Rest can be nice, particularly after an extended road trip. However, that's a pretty long layoff. I wouldn't be surprised if the players are slightly out of sync. Adding a new player (Chris Anderson) to the mix may not help in that regard.

Note that the Heat are 0-2 ATS this season, when playing with three or more day's rest in between games.

On 11/29, the Heat had four day's off in between games. Laying 13 points, they barely defeated a severely depleted San Antonio team.

76ers vs Bucks FREE Winner

Today's featured FREE play comes from expert Bryan Power. Power followed a 5-1 Sunday by going 3-1-1 Monday! He's an AWESOME 5-0-1 with 10* Plays the last 2 days! Check out his expert analysis below.

NBA: Philadelphia vs Milwaukee, January 22, 2013 - 8:00 PM

Capper: Bryan Power
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Bryan_Power

Pick: Philadelphia +7

Analysis:

5* Philadelphia (8:05 ET):  Seems like we have an overlay here despite the fact Philadelphia has not been playing well for some time now. The Sixers barely were able to hold on for the ATS win last night at home taking on San Antonio, first rallying back from 17 down to take the lead by seven, only to then blow the lead themselves.  It was their 15th loss in the last 20 games overall.

However, tonight I feel they wll have enough left in the tank to at least stay within the number, facing a Bucks team that's playing its first home game since returning from a four-game road trip.  Milwaukee went 3-1 SU/ATS on the trip, where they were out on the West Coast the last three games, including a 110-104 win at Portland Saturday. Note that the Bucks are just 3-14 ATS at home off a road win the last two seasons and 0-8 ATS at home after scoring 110 or more points in their previous game.

This is a revenge spot for the Sixers, who suffered a nine-point home loss to Milwaukee back in November.  Philadelphia is 6-4 ATS so far this season when playing with same sea... [More]

NBA: Houston vs Charlotte, January 21, 2013, - 2:00 PM

Capper: Bryan Power
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Bryan_Power

Pick: Over 206.5

5* Over Houston/Charlotte (2:05 ET):  These are the two worst defensive teams in the league meeting this afternoon in Charlotte. Houston is allowing 103.5 points per game. Charlotte is neck and neck with them giving up 103.3 PPG.  Compounding problems for the Bobcats here at home is that Houston is one of the highest scoring teams in the league at 104.5 PPG.  This one has all the makings of a high scoring affair.

The Rockets are off probably their lowest scoring game of the season, a 92-79 loss to Minnesota. It was their worst shooting performance of the year at 32.9%. Therefore, I'm expecting a bounce back here. No team's games average more points per contest that Houston's, who average 208 points per game. Since we flipped the calendar to 2013, there have only been three instances of the Rockets... [More]

Thunder vs Nuggets FREE Winner

Today's featured FREE play comes from expert Bruce Marshall. Bruce was 2-1 in the NBA last night and is currently in the midst of an impressive 6-3 run. Check out his expert analysis below.

NBA: Oklahoma City vs Denver, Januray 20, 2013 - 8:00 PM

Capper: Bruce Marshall
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Bruce_Marshall

Pick: Denver +1.5

Analysis:

Quick rematch from last Wednesday’s game at Chesapeake Energy Center when Ok City romped by 20.  Denver never had a look at that game, already down 16 by the time the 1st Q ended, and had no answer for Russell Westbrook, who dominated action with 32 points.

But that was a similar to last season, when Westbrook also abused the Nuggets’ guards, scoring 31 ppg in three meetings vs. Denver. Now, however, Thunder has to face Denver at Pepsi Center, which Nuggets have made into a nice fortress this season by winning SU in 15 of first 17 as host prior to hosting John Wall and the Wizards last Friday night.  Nuggets will need to turn up defensive intensity after recent 3-game stretch in which foes hit 50.4% from floor and 43% (30 of 70) beyond arc.  But homecourt edge has been powerful this season for Denver. Pick: San Antonio

Start: January 18, 2013 - 8:30 PM

Capper: Marc Lawrence
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Marc_Lawrence

Offered at: pinnacle @ -12 -105 San Antonio:
Play On: San Antonio Spurs (-12)

Analysis:
Note: There’s no reason to sway from the dominating hosts n this series, not with San Antonio 15-3 SU and 11-6-1 ATS in the AT&T Center this season and 27-0 SU and 19-8 ATS at home in this series since 2006. It also doesn’t hurt that the Warriors arrive off a tussle with the defending champs and are 0-6 SUATS after dealing with the Heat. And while Friday night’s been alright for fighting for the Spurs (9-0 SU and 7-2 ATS dating back to last season), there haven’t been very many happy hours for the Warriors as they are just 4-12 SU and 6-10 ATS on this day of the week dating back to last year. And with this line one the shortest in this building since 1997 where the Spurs have been double-digit favorites in 22 of the last 27 home games in this series, the value clearly rides with the hosts. ... NBA: Milwaukee vs Phoenix, January 17, 2013 - 9:00 PM

Capper: Bryan Power
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Bryan_Power

Pick: Milwaukee +1

Analysis:

5* Milwaukee (9:05 ET):

How in the world is it even possible that the Bucks have lost 24 straight times to the Suns in Phoenix? They are just 2-10 ATS vs. Western Conference teams this season, but one of those winning tickets was cashed last Tuesday at home vs. tonight's opponent, 108-99 win as six-point chalk. I was on Milwaukee in that game....

Phoenix is just awful right now. They have dropped 12 of their last 14 including a double-digit loss here at home to Oklahoma City Monday night. Interesting to note here is that the Suns are just 9-26 ATS when seeking revenge for a road loss. Over the last seven games, they are averaging just 84.6 points per game on 42% shooting.

Turnovers were key for the Suns in the first meeting as they coughed the ball up 16 times, which is right on par with their average over the last seven games. Milwaukee ranks among the league leaders, forcing 16 TO's per game.  The Bucks have been playing harder... [More]

NBA: Chicago @ Toronto, January 16, 2013 - 7:00 PM

Capper: Ben Burns
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Ben_Burns

Pick: Toronto +4.5

Analysis:

I had to settle for a push with my play on the Raptors yesterday. With this line climbing from its opener, I'm willing to give them another shot today.

Earlier this season, I visited Toronto and took in a game. The Raptors were still winless (0-2) and they were off a 7-point loss at Brooklyn the previous night.

The group of people I went with, all of them "Raptor fans," weren't giving their team much of a chance ...
I made a play on Toronto in that game and told them that I wasn't concerned with the back-to-back spot and that I liked what I'd seen from the Raptors at Brooklyn.

Unaffected by the b2b situation, the Raptors would go on to reward me with a convincing 105-86 victory over the T-Wolves, their first "W" of the season.

They've continued to perform well when playing the second of back-to-back games too. In fact, the Raptors are 7-2 ATS in that situation this season, including 3-0 SU/ATS when playing at the Air Canada Centre.

However, ALL three of them have received his HIGHEST RATING. He's expecting a big day. Check out his expert analysis below.

NBA: New Orleans vs Philadelphia, January 15, 2013 - 7:00 PM

Capper: Ben Burns
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Ben_Burns

Pick: Over 183.5

Analysis:

These teams played an extremely low-scoring game (77-62) against each other earlier in the season. That was back in early November though and it was also at New Orleans. We should be able to expect significantly more points than that this evening.

This O/U number is in the low to mid 180s. As of this writing, its come down a little from its opener. I believe its offering very fair value.

Not only do the 76'ers score more points at home, they also allow more. Games at Philadelphia are averaging 193.2 points. For the season, the "over" is a lucrative 14-4 here. That includes a 4-1 "over" mark when they were listed as home favorites in the 3.5 to 6 range.

Meanwhile, the Hornets score considerably more points on the road than they do at New Orleans, also allowing more. Their road games are averaging 195.3 points. Eleven of their 18 away games have finished above the number. That includes a 3-0 "over" mark when they were listed as road underdogs in the 3.5 to 6 range.

Today's featured FREE play comes from expert Ben Burns. Off a 4-2 Sunday, Ben Burns is now 109-72 (+$27,659) the L5 weeks, going 40-25 in 2013. Burns dominated college football (reg. season & bowls) and he's hitting 56% or better YTD in every single active sport. He's got a busy Monday of pro/college hoops which will see him put his current 37-17 NBA streak on the line. Check out his expert analysis below.

NBA: Cleveland vs Sacramento, January 14, 2013 - 10:00 PM

Capper: Ben Burns
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Ben_Burns

Pick: Sacramento -5.5

Analysis:

Facing quality opposition, the Kings have struggled of late. Most recently, they were blown out by Miami on Saturday. Stepping down in class and with the schedule in their favor, this game provides an opportunity to get back on track.
Now 37-17 my last 54 NBA selections, I successfully played against the Cavaliers last night. As I had hoped, they got blown out by a desperate Laker team.

Kyrie Irving commented ...
"...they did a great job of containing me and everybody on the team. We just got punched in the mouth in the first quarter. We just didn't have that fight in the first quarter, and it kind of killed us the rest of the game.''

Note that the Cavs have only one win in 11 tries this season, when playing the second of back-to-back games. Six of those 10 losses came by a minimum of seven points.

Cavs vs Lakers FREE Winner

Today's featured FREE play comes from expert Bryan Power. Bryan is on a profitable 46-33-1 NBA run including a 30-20 streak with NBA totals. Check out his expert analysis below.

NBA: Cleveland vs L.A. Lakers, January 13, 2013 - 9:30 PM

Capper: Bryan Power
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Bryan_Power

Pick: L.A. Lakers -8

Analysis:

5* LA Lakers (9:30 ET):  Hopefully, you enjoyed yesterday's FREE WINNER on California over Washington State. I've had some real great success this week in College Hoops. My NBA has been similarly hot, but I'm coming off a rare 0-2 day. I expect a complete bounce back Sunday & also recommend making a small wager on the Lakers over Cleveland....

If the Lakers don't take care of business here, then I don't know what to say. They come in having dropped six straight and are 1-5 ATS in those games. The one cover came as a double-digit underdog.  Here they are a prohibitive favorite against a Cleveland team that simply is not very good. The Cavs are just 5-17 SU on the road and allowing over 100 points per game. Offense has not been a problem for the Lakers this season as they are averaging over 103 points per game.  The problem is defense as they are allowing over 102 PPG.  Still, outscoring their opponents on the season suggests the Lakers record should be better than it is.

Cleveland is one of the worst teams in the league. At 9-29 SU, they have the second worst record in t... [More]

In the NBA he is a terrific 32-15 L50. This Saturday he is kind enough to give you a FREE Winner in tonights NBA matchup between Memphis Grizzles Vs Dallas Mavericks. Pick: Dallas

Start: January 12, 2013 - 9:00 PM

Capper: Ben Burns
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Ben_Burns

Offered at: bookmaker @ 2.5 -110 Dallas

Analysis:

"This one sets up very nicely for the home team.

The Mavericks, who had Friday off, got back on track with an OT win at Sacramento on Thursday.

The Grizzlies, on the other hand, hosted the Spurs last night, eking out a 3-point win in OT. Needless to say, that was a "hard-fought affair."

Not only will the Grizzlies be playing the second of back-to-back games, they'll also be playing their third game in four days and their fifth in the past seven.

The Mavs, 20-10 SU the last 30 times that they were off an "upset" victory, won by 10 the last time they hosted the Grizzlies. Playing with revenge from a 12/21 loss at Memphis and with the schedule in their favor, don't be surprised when the Mavs  come away with another win."

*FREE* TRAILBLAZERS VS WARRIORS WINNER

Today's featured FREE play comes from no other than Art Aronson. Art has just come off another 100% 4-0 Thursday card, bringing his profits this week to $13,017. Over the past 31 days Aronson has brought in +$24,890 for both him and his clients. Today he gives away his expert knowledge for free. Come check out his inside info on this NBA Matchup:

Pick: Golden State

Start: January 11, 2013 - 10:30 PM

Capper: Art Aronson
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Art_Aronson

Offered at: sportsinteraction @ -7.5 -110 Golden State

Analysis:
Play on the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors lost a heartbreaker in their last game out against Memphis on home court. I expect Mark Jackson’s vastly improved squad to go for the jugular tonight against a Trailblazers team that played last night.

The Blazers have the unenviable task of playing the defending Champion Miami Heat at home and then turning around having to play in a tough road game against the Warriors the next night. The Blazers had to come from behind to eventually beat the Heat. I would expect a slightly tired squad this time around.

Portland is 5-5 ATS when coming of the back end of a back to back. Note: they have not been in a situation where they had to play a team as good as the Warriors on the road during that stretch.

The Blazers are 7-11 SU and ATS this year as a road team and are 3-6 ATS when facing teams from the Pacific division this year.

Santa Clara v Loyola Marymount FREE Winner

Today's featured FREE play comes from expert Matt Fargo. Matt is coming off a SWEET 4-2 Wednesday and he missed the PERFECT SWEEP by just two buckets! Check out his expert analysis below.

NCAAB: Santa Clara vs Loyola Marymount, January 10, 2013 - 10:00 PM

Capper: Matt Fargo
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Matt_Fargo

Pick: Loyola Marymount +4.5

Analysis:

We head to the left coast for late action Thursday night between Santa Clara and Loyola-Marymount and will be taking a shot with the home underdog Lions.

Santa Clara is sitting at 1-1 in the West Coast Conference and that is already one more win than the Broncos had all of last season as they went through as dreadful 0-16 conference campaign. They defeated San Francisco at home to open WCC play and then lost to Gonzaga last time out but it was a respectable seven-point defeat. They hit the road for just the second time in over three weeks and while things are looking up, the 12-4 record is a little inflated as games against Gonzaga and Dukes have inflated the Santa Clara strength of schedule. The Broncos were not as bad last year as their 0-16 conference record indicated but I also do not think they are as good as their overall record shows this year. Loyola Marymount looks to bounce back quickly following a 2-0 start in WCC action. The schedule did not help as the Lions opened with games at BYU and St. Mary's so getting into a quick hole comes as no surprise. This team was ... [More]

Philadephia vs Toronto FREE Winner

Today's featured FREE play comes from expert Jesse Schule. Coming off a very strong 2012, and a particularly profitable December, Jesse has picked up right where he left off in 2013. He was just 2-2 on the hardwood yesterday (incl. free), but he's a very solid 30-21 in the New Year, showing a healthy, yet modest profit of $3397!

NBA: Philadelphia vs Toronto, January 9, 2013 - 7:00PM

Capper: Jesse Schule
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Jesse_Schule

Pick: Toronto -4

Analysis:

This is a FREE play on the Toronto Raptors.

Yesterday's FREE WINNER was on the Nets, as they took advantage of a tired Philadelphia team that is dealing with a tough schedule. With the win yesterday, my complimentary hoops plays are enjoying a SIZZLIN' 7-1 RUN!

The Sixers are north of the border tonight, taking on the Raptors just 24 hours later, on the back end of their fourth consecutive back to back. That's right, the Sixers have had to play on consecutive nights four times in less than two weeks.
"I have never experienced a road trip like this where it's three back-to-backs in a row and we played some of the best teams in the league and even before that we started off with Brooklyn," said leading scorer Jrue Holiday. "It was tough, but as a team we grew from it."

The Raptors have had a couple days off after losing back to back games at home. Toronto had won eight of nine prior to losing to Sacramento, as they failed to contain DeMarcu... [More]

Brooklyn vs Philadelphia FREE Winner

Today's featured FREE play comes from expert Jesse Schule. Jesse has been so focused on football the past few months, his basketball picks have taken a back seat early in the season. That's about to change now though, and he's heating up with his NBA plays. Those who follow Jesse's FREE plays have been enjoying a 6-1 run with complimentary hoops picks in the New Year.

NBA: Brooklyn vs Philadelphia, January 8, 2013 - 7:00 PM

Capper: Jesse Schule
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Jesse_Schule

Pick: Brooklyn +1.5

Analysis:

This is a FREE play on the Brooklyn Nets.

The Nets have new life under P.J. Carlesimo, they are coming off three straight victories, and they are five of six since firing Avery Johnson as head coach. The only loss being a game against the Spurs in San Antonio.

Brooklyn has had two days off since defeating the Kings at home on Saturday, and they come into Philadelphia well rested. The Sixers may well have tired legs though, tonight's game is the first of a back to back, their fourth consecutive back to back in the last 10 days. Whoever made the schedule this year must not have been a Sixers fan.

"I have never experienced a road trip like this where it's three back-to-backs in a row and we played some of the best teams in the league and even before that we started off with Brooklyn," said leading scorer Jrue Holiday. "It was tough, but as a team we grew from it."

Oklahoma City vs Washington FREE Winner

Today's featured FREE play comes from expert Ben Burns. To say Ben Burns is hot right now would be an under statement. In addition to going a PERFECT 8-0 with his football on the weekend, Ben Burns was also 2-0 in the NBA. He's now 30-10 his L40 NBA selections. Burns hasn't had a sub-500 day in 2013 and he's 26-10-1 (or 27-10) since New Year's Eve. Going back further finds him at 93-56 (+$29,103) over the past four weeks. You can check out today's free selection here.

NBA: Oklahoma City vs Washington, January 7, 2013 - 7:00 PM

Capper: Ben Burns
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Ben_Burns

Pick: Washimgton +10.5

Analysis:

After eking out a winner with Friday's complimentary selection on the Pistons, I didn't release any "free" plays over the weekend. I did win both my "premium" NBA picks though, while also going 8-0 with my football. So, although Saturday's college hoops didn't fare too well, it was certainly a nice way to spend the first weekend of 2013.

Today, I'll take a look at an "ugly underdog" which is getting a lot of points ...

The Thunder are one of the best teams in basketball. The Wizards are one of the worst. That said, I feel Washington is offering us some solid value here.

Obviously, OKC is the superior team. However, as noted, this is a very large number.

Both teams played yesterday. The Thunder played early in the afternoon, beating Toronto by double-digits. (Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka all sti... [More]

Texas-San Antonio vs Denver FREE Winner

Today's featured FREE play comes from Expert Bruce Marshall. Bruce is fresh off an extraordinary 14-2 Saturday and plans to keep rolling Sunday. He won in all four sports yesterday including going an AMAZING 9-0-1 with his college hoops. Today he is giving away his Expert analysis for absolutely nothing. Check it out below:

NCAAB: Texas-San Antonio vs Denver, January 6, 2013 - 4:00 PM

Capper: Bruce Marshall
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Bruce_Marshall

Pick: Denver -15

Analysis:

The move from the Southland to the WAC (which precedes another move to CUSA next year) doesn't appear to be going as smoothly as planned for Brooks Thompson's UTSA Roadrunners.

Recent heavy losses to San Jose and New Mexico State are the latest indicators that UTSA might lack the depth and manpower to compete at a higher level this season.  Without a lot of size and with mini 5'9 scoring G Michael Hale III in a recent shooting slump (only 7 for 23 from the floor his last three games), there aren't many ways for Thompson to turn these days.  And note UTSA's 20 ppg margin of loss in road defeats at BYU, Oregon, CS Bakersfield, Mississippi State, and NMSU.  Much prefer Joe Scott's Denver side that has been in against much tougher than this foe but has recorded each of its six wins by double-digit margins (in fact, win margin of hefty 22 ppg).  The Pioneers also have lots of size on the perimeter with 6'5 Gs Brett Olson & Chase H... FREE 76ers Vs SPURS WINNER

'The Real Deal' Bryan Power is in SENSATIONAL form, racking up $9,493 in PROFITS over the past 7 days alone. Last night he had another 4-0 SWEEP of the board. He is on a 10-2 run in the NFL and an 8-2 Bowls run. Today he is giving away his Expert analysis for absolutely nothing. Check it out below:

Pick: San Antonio

Start: January 5, 2013 - 8:30 PM

Capper: Bryan Power
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Bryan_Power

Offered at: 5dimes @ -13 -110 San Antonio

Analysis:

"5* Play San Antonio (8:30 ET):  I don't see this one staying competitive for long as an angry Spurs team, off a 100-83 loss to the Knicks Thursday night, will be eager to atone for that defeat.  They draw a perfect opponent in Philadelphia, who has dropped 9 of its last 12, including at Phoenix Wednesday and then a blowout loss at Oklahoma City last night.

This is the 76ers' final game of an eight-game trip out West that stretches back before Christmas.  Somehow, they beat both Memphis and the Lakers. But they've lost to everyone else and offensively, they remain punchless.  Only a handful of teams in the league average fewer points per game than does Philadelphia (93.2).  They have lost 14 of their last 15 visits to San Antonio.

The Spurs have lost back to back games twice since the start of December.  But in both cases, each game was on the road.  Here at home, San Antonio is 14-2 straight up and they are also 12-3 A... [More]

Capper: Marc Lawrence
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Marc_Lawrence

Offered at: 5dimes @ 4.5 -110 L.A. Lakers

Analysis:

Play On: LA Lakers

Note: When the Lakers meet the Clippers in a cross town rivalry showdown Friday night Kobe's crew will take the court knowing they are 15-5 straight up the last 20 games in this series.

They are also 3-0 SU and ATS when seeking same season revenge.  With both teams reeling off losses in their last game, we'll back the revenge minded dominating dog here tonight.  We recommend a 1-unit play on the Lakers.  Thank you and good luck as always.

Marc's Super Hot winning streak on the College Hoops hardwood (9-2 last 11 releases) continues Friday night with Super Pick Play backed with a super winning situation inside the game that is 100% ATS perfect.  Don't miss out - get it now!

FREE PENN St Vs WISCONSIN WINNER

Ben Burns needs no introduction. One of the world's most renowned handicappers is giving away his inside expert knowledge absolutely FREE. Ben is 7-2 with his top plays in 2013 and is on an EPIC 77-51 All Sports run over the past 24 days. Check out his analysis on this NCAAB Winner below:

Pick: Wisconsin

Start:January 3, 2013 - 8:30 PM

Capper: Ben Burns
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Ben_Burns

Offered at: pinnacle @ -18 100 Wisconsin

Analysis:

Before getting started, I do think that this line could potentially come down a bit from its current (18) number. So, if considering Wisconsin, you may want to wait. (I will be.)

I successfully backed a large favorite in Big Ten play yesterday. My ticket was on Ohio State over what I felt would be an over-matched Nebraska squad. Laying three touchdowns, the Buckeyes cruised to a 70-44 victory.

This matchup ...

... may not be quite as much of a mismatch but I expect the end result to be similar.

Penn State comes in on a roll, playing quite well in non-conference action. Don't be fooled by the record though. Conference play will represent a big step up in class. The Nittany Lions were just 4-15 in Big Ten play last season. Eleven of their 15 losses came by double-digits.

This year's team lost some key components from last season. Making matters worse, Tommy Frazier, arguably the most important member of the Nitt... [More]

Spurs vs Bucks FREE Winner

Today's featured FREE play comes from expert Jesse Schule. The first day of 2013 was another big one for the BIG MAN, as he was a SIZZLIN' 10-4 for a profit of +$4620! He also dished out another FREE winner in the NBA with the Sacramento Kings.

Schule was PERFECT on the hardwood on Tuesday cashing in both his plays with Denver and Dallas. He's really starting to heat up with his NBA picks, hitting 8 of his last 10 (Including Free Plays).

NBA: San Antonio vs Milwaukee, Jan 2, 2013 - 8:00 PM

Capper: Jesse Schule
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Jesse_Schule

Pick: San Antonio -5

Analysis:

This is a FREE play on the San Antonio Spurs.

The Spurs are coming off six straight wins, and they have really played well defensively during that span, limiting opponents to an average of fewer than 90 points per game. They won their last game in impressive fashion, blowing out Brooklyn by a score of 104-73.

Coach Popovich was careful to rest his starters in that game, with the Spurs playing the first of a back to back Wednesday in Milwaukee, before facing the Knicks in New York on Thursday. No player logged more than 26 minutes in the win over the Nets, so they should be well rested coming into their game versus the Bucks. Popovich isn't likely to hold anything back in this game, as this is one that surely he feels they should win. If there is any chance of sitting the stars, it would be more likely to be in New York on the bac... [More]

FREE KINGS Vrs. PISTONS WINNER

Ben is RED-HOT NBA with a 20-8 streak. It's 2013 and Ben would like to start the year with a free winner to his Covers customers. Check it out:

Pick: Detroit

Start:January 1, 2013 - 7:30 PM

Capper: Ben Burns

https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Ben_Burns

Offered at:pinnacle @ -6.5 -105 Detroit

Analysis:
I won both my side plays yesterday (Tulsa and Clemson) but didn't fare as well on totals.

A narrow loss with OKC/Pho "under" the number dropped me to 22-8 my last 30 NBA.

Looking to ring in the new year with a winner, I think I'll stick with a side here ...

Both teams have been playing well recently. However, that success has come primarily at home, particularly in Sacramento's case. With this game being played at Detroit, I expect the Pistons to have an advantage.

The Pistons are a "respectable" 8-8 at home. It could be better than that too, as they've outscored teams by a 97.1 to 92.9 margin here.

While Detroit's home record may not initially seem overly impressive, it sounds a lot better when compared to Sacramento's 1-12 mark on the road. The Kings are getting outscored by a 102.4 to 91.3 margin away from Sacramento, more than 11 points per game.

While they lost a close one at Sacramento earlier this season, the Pistons are still 4-1 SU/ATS the last five in the series. Playing with "revenge" and catching the Kings likely without Tyreke Evans, take a look at ... [More]
