FREE DEVILS Vs JETS WINNER

Ben Burns cashed a HUGE 4-1 card again last night bringing his total win record over the past 3 days to 11-2. He has amassed $38,884 in profits for his clients since December. Check out his FREE NHL winner below:

Pick: New Jersey

Start: February 28, 2013 - 8:00 PM

Capper: Ben Burns
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Ben_Burns

Offered at: pinnacle @ 101 New Jersey

Analysis:

Normally a much better team when playing at Winnipeg, the Jets are coming off a rare successful road trip. Tuesday's 4-3 upset victory at MSG gave them a 4-1 record since their last home game.

One of those four wins came against these same  Devils, a 4-2 win on 2/24. Give the Jets credit for their successful voyage. However,  keep in mind that playing the first game back home from a road trip can sometimes be tough.

Why is it that the first game back home from a trip can be difficult?

Part of the logic is that the players can be distracted by the return to every day life. They can have girlfriends, spouses and/or friends that demand their attention. Bills to pay. Household chores to tend to. Things of that nature.

Those factors may not sound like much but if you ask players or coaches, they'll tell you that they can indeed come into play.

Also, note that the Jets are actually 0-3 their last three at Winnipeg. So, their long-standing tendency of being a better home team may be starting to change. (In fact, they act... [More]

FREE COLLEGE HOOPS WINNER

Bryan 'The Real Deal' Power had a HUGE 4-1 card last night including a 2-0 College Hoops sweep. In fact he is now 10-3 (77%) in the past 3 days, racking up +$5,622 in PROFITS. Check out his FREE pick below:

Pick: Connecticut

Start: February 27, 2013 - 7:00 PM

Capper: Bryan Power
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Bryan_Power

Offered at: pinnacle @ 3 -106 Connecticut

Analysis:

1* UConn (7:00 ET):  The way this College Basketball season is going, when a team is at the peak of its hype is when you want to look to go against them. Such is the case Wednesday night with Georgetown, winners of nine in a row, both straight up and against the spread. The Hoyas are coming off a very emotional win over Syracuse on Sunday & now there's talk that they should be under consideration for a #1 seed.....

That means there's only one way to go from here.  Last night, I played a pair of home dogs on ESPN, cashing both Minnesota and Tennessee outright.  Needless to say, it was a really nice night (went 4-1 overall).  Here, I'll back the home dog UConn, who because of the fact they're ineligible for the NCAA Tournament, will certainly treat a game like this as their "Super Bowl."  The Huskies also own a recent victory over Syracuse as well and have been much better than advertised for 1st year head coach Kevin Ollie.  They have won seven of their last nine, making them a live dog in this situation.... FREE BUCKS Vs MAVERICKS WINNER

Doc Sports is on a SIZZLIN' 7-1  (88%) All Sports run over the past 2 days. In the NBA he is on a HOT 48-30 streak. Tonight Doc's Sports has uncovered an angle and is giving you his expert analysis for FREE:

Pick: Dallas

Start: February 26, 2013 - 8:30 PM

Capper: Doc's Sports
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Doc-s_Sports

Offered at: pinnacle @ -5.5 -105 Dallas

Analysis:

Doc's Sports Free NBA Pick for Tuesday:

The Mavs have been playing very well lately. They are playing their best basketball of the season right now, in fact. They have won 12 of their last 19 games, and the losses they have suffered during that stretch were mostly against better playoff-bound teams, and only one loss (to Oklahoma City) was by double-digits. They are 16-4 ATS in their last 20, which can match up with any or the hottest teams in the league right now. And just looking at this line we thought it looked pretty soft to begin with even before we looked at the game more in depth. We would think this number should be closer to eight points. Milwaukee is in a total freefall. This team has won only two of its last 11 games, and they have covered only one game during that stretch. This team has just not been able to play cohesive basketball for any decent stretch of the season, and they are in the worst form we have seen from them right now. They like to play the same style of basketball as Dallas, pushing the tempo and attacking the basket... [More]

FREE WIZARDS Vs RAPTORS WINNER

Jesse Schule is now 7-2 (78%) over the past 2 days. There is no better time to get on his FREE pick on this Wizards/Raptors matchup in the NBA. Check out his Expert Analysis below:

Pick: Toronto

Start: February 25, 2013 - 7:00 PM

Capper: Jesse Schule
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Jesse_Schule

Offered at: pinnacle @ -4.5 -102 Toronto

Analysis:

This is a FREE play on the Toronto Raptors.

The Raptors have won seven of their last eight games, and one of those was a convincing 96-88 victory over the Wizards in Washington on Tuesday. Rudy happy has averaged 21.4 points per game as a Raptor, more than four points higher than his average with Memphis. He's coming off a season-high 32 point performance in Toronto's home win over the New York Knicks on Friday.

The Wizards have lost each of their last five visits north of the border, and they are 1-7 ATS in the last eight meetings overall. As good as Washington has looked recently, they don't have a lot to prove on the road in a foreign country against a hungry raptors team that has their eyes on the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Washington's 4-22 record away from home is the league's worst road record, and they will be hard pressed to get a victory over the Raptors who are 14-2 ATS against teams with a winning percentage below .400.

John Wall was 1 for 12 with seven turnovers in last week's home loss to Toronto, and the Wizards PG will hav... [More]

FREE SPURS Vs SUNS WINNER

Art Aronson had a HUGE Saturday, cashing in with a 5-1 card, narrowly missing out on a PERFECT 6-0 sweep. Today his free pick focuses on the Spurs Vs Suns matchup in the NBA. Check out Art's Expert analysis for FREE right here:

Pick: Phoenix

Start: February 24, 2013 - 8:00 PM

Capper: Art Aronson
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Art_Aronson

Offered at: pinnacle @ 9.5 -105 Phoenix

Analysis:

This is a 1* free play on the Phoenix Suns.

The Spurs are coming off a 107-101 OT loss at Golden State on Friday, and I believe will suffer another setback tonight. San Antonio looked sluggish down the stretch, and shot just under 39 percent from the floor, which included going 4 of 22 from 3-point land (interestingly, San Antonio is just 10-11 ATS this year vs. poor defensive teams that allow 99 plus points per contest, and just 3-4 ATS in its last seven when playing against a team with a losing record). Phoenix will be looking to make amends for a listless 113-88 loss to the Celtics on Friday. "This is one you just want to put behind you as fast as possible,'' Phoenix forward P.J. Tucker said afterwards. One player you'll want to track is Goran Dragic who is averaging 18.3 points and 12.7 assists over his last three games (Phoenix is 29-25 in its last 54 following a loss by 10 points or more). This is definitely a revenge game for the Suns after they lost 108-99 in San Antonio on January 26th. In fact, Phoenix has lost five straig... [More]

FREE COLLEGE HOOPS WINNER

Everyone knows how HOT Marc Lawrence has been for the past month or so. More recent he is 8-3 (73%) for the past 6 days alone. Tonight he has an NBA Winner for sale but is also giving away a FREE Pick on the Georgia Vs Arkansas matchup in the NCAAB. Last night we gave you yet another FREE WINNER, do not miss this one too!

Pick: Georgia

Start: February 21, 2013 - 7:00 PM

Capper: Marc Lawrence
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Marc_Lawrence

Offered at: betonline @ 9 -110 Georgia

Analysis:

Play On: Georgia

Note: When the Dawgs meet the Hogs in a SEC showdown in Arkansas Thursday evening, Georgia will take the court looking to even their slate at 13-13 this campaign knowing they are 11-2 SU and 7-2 ATS this season in games against sub .650 opponents.  That's in direct contrast to the Bulldogs' beastly 1-11 SU and 4-8 ATS mark against greater than .650 opposition this season.

With the Razorbacks eyeing up a return rematch with Florida, and just 2-4 SUATS in games before the Gators, look for Georgia to improve to 17-7-1 ATS in this series here tonight.  Grab the points.  We recommend a 1-unit play on Georgia.  Thank you and good luck as always.

Look: Marc's powerful database shares another Top Key Play winner on Thursday night's NBA card, supported with a pair of killer winning angles inside the game that together have come up a winner 31 times in a row.  Don't miss out, get it ... [More]

Nets vs Bucks FREE Winner

Today's featured FREE play comes from expert Ben Burns. Yesterday's 5-0 card brought Ben Burns to 15-5 the last four days. Winning at every single sport, Burns is up nearly 35 grand the last 10 weeks. Check out his expert analysis below.

NBA: Brooklyn vs Milwaukee, February 20, 2013 - 8:00 PM

Capper: Ben Burns
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Ben_Burns

Pick: UNDER 193

Analysis:

I won with the "over" when these two teams met yesterday, part of a 5-0 Tuesday "sweep." The final score eclipsed the total long before the game reached OT.

The second game of a home and home series is often played at a different tempo from the first though. That said, I'm expecting significantly fewer points in tonight's rematch.

As noted yesterday, the Nets score more points AND they also allow more, when playing at Brooklyn. When playing on the road, as they are this evening, the "under" is a profitable 15-9. (Those games averaged 187 points.) That includes a 5-1 "under" mark when the Nets played a road game with an O/U line in the 190 to 194.5 range.

The Nets have also seen the "under" go 10-6-1 the last 17 times (9-4-1 L14 on the road) that they played the second of back-to-back games, dating back to last season. That includes a 2-0 "under" mark their last two in that situation. Those games finished with scores of 183 and 173.

Meanwhile, the Bucks have seen the "under" go 7-5 the last dozen times that they played their second ... [More]

Warriors @ Jazz FREE Winner

Today's featured FREE play comes from expert Marc Lawrence. Marc's monster hot hand on the hardwood (41-12-2, including 18-2-2 last 22 college hoops plays) continues Tuesday with a free NBA play. Check out his expert analysis below.

NBA: Golden State vs Utah, February 19, 2013 - 9:00 PM

Capper: Marc Lawrence
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Marc_Lawrence

Pick: Utah -3

Analysis:

Play On: Utah Jazz (Game 514)
Note: Opening night after the All-Star festivities finds both the Jazz and the Warriors well-rested but our database points out that the break should do wonders for the revenge-minded hosts (lost, 94-83, at Golden State in only meeting this season) and not the rusty visitors.

You see, Utah is 4-0 SUATS in this series with three-plus days of rest while Golden State is 0-3 SUATS overall with three or more days off after facing the Rockets. In fact, the Warriors should be focused on stopping a three-game losing skid against Houston and that should sound the horns for a Jazz squad that is already 16-4 SU and 13-5-2 ATS in this matchup with revenge. Lay the reasonable spot as the Jazz start their second-half march towards the post-season.  We recommend a 1-unit play on Utah.  Thank you and good luck as always.

FREE NHL WINNER

Bruce Marshall steps out with a FREE Ice Hockey pick. Check out his Expert Analysis on this hot matchup below:

Pick: U (OTT at NJ)

Start: February 18, 2013 - 1:00 PM

Capper: Bruce Marshall
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Bruce_Marshall

Offered at: pinnacle @ Under 5 104

Analysis:

While Ottawa has admittedly not looked good since Norris Trophy winning defender Erik Karlsson went down last week vs. the Penguins, in fact the Sens had been struggling to score goals long before Karlsson's injury.

Indeed, the absence of another key performer, center Jason Spezza, out for the past few weeks with a back injury, looks to be the real trigger to the Sens' offensive downturn that's seen them score only 11 goals in 8 games this motnh and convert power plays at a paltry 6.5% over that span.  Now Ottawa likely faces Devils GK Martin Brodeur, who has a history of shutting down the Sens (he's 5-1-0 with a 1.89 GAA in his last seven at home vs. Ottawa).  We're not sure the Senators even get on the board tonight, and even the reduced "total" of five gaols looks like mountain, considering the specifics of this game tonight at the Pru Center.

Situational Analysis

Wichita State is most recently coming off a 71-56 win over Drake on February 13th. Fred VanVleet had 17 points off the bench. However, this is a "revenge game" for the home side after it lost 74-62 to the Shockers on January 16th.

Illinois State comes into this game with plenty of momentum after hammering Bradley 79-59 on February 13th. Jackie Carmichael had 27 points and 13 boards. Tyler Brown added 22 points, eight boards and five assists. And it was the way the Redbirds closed the game which leads me to believe they'll continue strong tonight, finishing on a 24-4 run.

Statistical Analysis

Note that Wichita State is just 3-6 ATS on the road this year.

Note that Illinois State is a perfect 4-0 ATS this month, and 9-8 ATS when playing the role of favorite.

Missouri vs Arkansas FREE Winner

NCAAB: Missouri vs Arkansas, February 16, 2013 - 4:00 PM

Capper: Doc's Sports
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Doc-s_Sports

Pick: OVER 156

Analysis:

Take OVER in Missouri at Arkansas (4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16)

But pretty much no matter what this numbers comes in at it won't be high enough. This is actually going to be an emotional game. Missouri will head to Lafayette to take on its former coach, Mike Anderson, and the Hogs. Missouri will want to beat its coach for abandoning them, and Arkansas will want to win and keep improving its impressive home court record under Anderson. Both of these teams press, trap, run, gun and fly all over the place for 40 minutes. There are a lot of very talented guards on the court, and because neither team has a bevy of big men each squad should be able to get to the basket for easy buckets at will. And, because of the emotion involved, you can expect this one to be extra crazy and played at an even faster pace. Missouri hasn't been great on the road, but I have a hard time seeing them stay under 75 in this one. They scored 98 against Mississippi, 91 against Auburn, and 70 at LSU in the last two weeks. Arkansas goes bonkers at home as well (ask Florida), scoring 80 against Florida, 73 against a Ten... [More]

NCAAB: Princeton vs Dartmouth, February 15, 2013 - 7:00 PM

Capper: Marc Lawrence

Analysis:

Play On: Princeton

Note: When the Tigers take on the Bears in an Ivy League battle at Dartmouth Friday evening, Princeton will enter the game off a loss as 11-point favorites at home against.  That's a good omen for the visitors tonight as Princeton is 4-0 ATS in games after being upset by the Eli.  The Tigers are also 4-0 ATS in their last four Ivy League skirmishes when taking the court off an upset loss.

With the visiting team a sparkling 24-9 ATS in this series, we'll play the percentages and back the better team here tonight.  We recommend a 1-unit play on Princeton. Thank you and good luck as always.

FREE COYOTES Vs PREDATORS WINNER

Art Aronson has posted back to back 5-2 cards. He is on a FLAWLESS 5-0 run with his 10* plays. In the NBA he is 10-6 and is 2-0 in the NHL. Tonight he is giving you his inside knowledge on this hot NHL matchup between the Coyotes & Predators for free. Check it out below:

Pick: U (PHO at NAS)

Start: February 14, 2013 - 8:00 PM

Capper: Art Aronson
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Art_Aronson

Offered at: bookmaker @ Under 5 -135

Analysis:

This is a free play on the under between the Coyotes and Predators.

The Predators have not been lighting up the scoreboard this year. They went through a goalless drought of nearly 177 minutes before Colin Wilson scored in OT for the 1-0 win over the Sharks on Tuesday. "I mean obviously we want to score but we're just preaching put the puck on the net," Preds' defenseman Ryan Ellis said after. "I think we've been outshot a lot in the early stretch here." Now Nashville gets a look at the Coyotes Mike Smith for the first time this year. Smith of course posted a 1.73 GAA and eliminated the Predators in five games in the Western Conference semifinals last season. Most recently Smith made a season-high 41 saves in a 3-2 OT win over Colorado on Monday (the Coyotes have seen the total go under the number in 21 of their last 35 when playing with two days of rest). Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne has been keeping his team in games, going 5-1-0 with a minuscule 0.97 GAA in h... [More]

NCAAB: Iowa St vs Texas, February 13, 2013 - 8:00 PM

Capper: Matt Fargo
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Matt_Fargo

Pick: Texas +1.5

Analysis:

Texas is in the midst of a horrific season but the return of starting point guard Myck Kabongo from a 23-game NCAA suspension could provide a big spark.

It has been a horribly disappointing season for Texas as it is 10-13 overall including 2-8 in the Big XII. It has been a series of firsts and not in a good way. This year was the first time that the Longhorns opened the conference season with five straight losses since doing it in back-to-back seasons in the Southwest Conference in 1975 and 1976. Texas had won its Big XII opener for 12 consecutive seasons but has not done so in each of the last two years. A trip to the NCAA Tournament is all but dead. The Longhorns have gone to the Big Dance each of the last 14 years and now the only chance of getting there this year is winning the Big XII Tournament. Now it has to play for pride and that will be on the line tonight. Iowa St. is coming off a loss at Kansas St., dropping it to 16-7 overall and 6-4 in the conference but its tournament hopes are ve... [More]

Cleveland St vs Detroit FREE Winner

Today's featured FREE play comes from expert Marc Lawrence. Marc's ultra-hot winning run on the hardwood (31-13-1 of late, including 9-1-1 his last 11 college releases) continues Tuesday night with a free NCAAB pick. Check out his expert analysis below.

NCAAB: Cleveland St vs Detroit, February 12, 2013 - 7:00 PM

Capper: Marc Lawrence
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Marc_Lawrence

Pick: Detroit -15

Play On: Detroit (Game 518)

Note: Detroit has played well recently, winning 14 of its last 19 games to put the Titans within a game and a half of the Horizon League lead.  Among those five losses were two nail-biters and a 12-point defeat against Cleveland State as 8-point favorites on the road. The Titans came away from that affair red-faced and have had this game circled on their schedule for nearly a month.

Besides, Detroit has played like collection of lions, tigers, and bears at home this season, bringing down foes by an average score of 82-58 en route to their 12-2 record at Calihan Hall. On the other side, the Vikings have played like a team that misplaced their swords before hitting the road, going just 2-10 SUATS this year. This matchup is also a meaty revenge sandwich for Cleveland State, sitting between a triple revenger against Valparaiso (Vikings are 1-4-1 ATS after the Crusaders) and a double revenger against Wisconsin-Green Bay (0-8 against the number before playing the Phoenix). Hence, with the Titans off a 9-po... [More]

Start: February 11, 2013 - 7:30 PM

Capper: Jesse Schule
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Jesse_Schule

Offered at: bookmaker @ -4 -110 Detroit

Analysis:

This is a FREE play on the Detroit Pistons.

Last night I played the Raptors, as they hosted New Orleans in just the fourth game of the Rudy happy era. Toronto took care of business against the Hornets, pulling away in the fourth quarter and getting the win and cover. Now the Hornets have to come back to the ole U.S of A, traveling to Detroit to take on the Pistons

Detroit will have Jose Calderon in the lineup, he came over from Memphis as part of a three way trade that sent Rudy happy to Toronto. While happy has provided a spark to the Raptors, Calderon has stepped in and made an immediate impact with Detroit. Calderon had 23 points and 10 dimes in a 105-100 victory over the Bucks at Milwaukee.

The Pistons have won the last three in a row against the Hornets (soon to be Pelicans) in Detroit. The Hornets haven't won in Motor City since 2009, and playing their second game in as many nights, after having played in Canada last night, they aren't in a good spot here on Monday.

NCAAB: Oklahoma St vs Texas, February 9, 2013 - 1:45 PM

Capper: Doc's Sports

Pick: Oklahoma St -3.5

Analysis:

So are the Pokes going to letdown after their upset of Kansas on the road or double down with another quality result away from Stillwater? Well, beating Texas might not qualify as an impressive win, however OSU is trying to establish itself as one of the best in the Big 12 this season, so every road victory counts. I think Oklahoma State has it in them for another win, mainly because of their exceptional guard play. Led by Marcus Smart, the Cowboys cash again and score another league win. He also cashed with his free play on Washington last night. Today, Bruce has released another FREE play on the college hardwood. Check out his expert analysis below.

Pick: Utah St. -6.5

Analysis:

San Jose hasn’t won a game in six tries (and has covered only twice) since star G James Kinney (20.6 ppg) was suspended in mid-January.

But Spartan HC George Nessman will get no sympathy from USU counterpart Stew Morrill, who lost his first (G Preston Medlin, 16.3 ppg) & third (F Kyisean Reed, 12.1 ppg)-leading scorers to injury in January.  It took a couple of weeks, but Morrill seems to have made adjustments, as recent wins at Idaho & Seattle featured Ags constantly feeding the ball into the blocks to rugged 6-10 Oklahoma State transfer Jared Shaw, who has scored 21.3 ppg last three outings as the Ags’ new go-to threat.  Play Utah State  Rating-6

Washington vs UCLA FREE Winner

Today's featured FREE play comes from expert Bruce Marshall. Bruce is fresh off a huge 11-4 card yesterday including going an impressive 7-3 with his college hoops picks. He has released a free play for today. Check out his expert analysis below.

NCAAB: Washington vs UCLA, February 7, 2013 - 9:00 PM

Capper: Bruce Marshall
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Bruce_Marshall

Pick: Washington +8.5

Analysis:

The gears are starting to grind a bit at UCLA, as a collection of frosh stars who all want their hands on the ball has caused Ben Howland to lose even more hair as the Bruins (have dropped 3 of their last 4 SU) begin to slide down the Big Dance seeding scale.

As perplexing as Lorenzo Romar’s U-Dub has been (losers of 4 of last 5 SU, but have covered 7 of 9), the Huskies remain hard to beat by a margin, with their last six losses all by single-digits.  UW broke its recent losing streak vs. Arizona State last Saturday, when Romar finally “let the dogs loose” in a 96-point explosion (the most since Feb. 2011 vs. Cal) after spending much of the season playing at a slower pace. Big points work tonight at Pauley Pavilion.  Play Washington

James Madison was riding a four-game winning streak but was upended at home against George Mason this past weekend. The Tribe have dropped seven straight on the road with five of the last six coming by double-digits.

James Madison had its four-game winning streak snapped at home against George Mason on Saturday but I expect the Dukes to bounce back huge here tonight. The loss put them into a four-way tie for third place in the CAA , a game behind Delaware for second place and two and a half games behind Northeastern for the top spot in the Colonial. This is the third straight home game for James Madison which is 8-3 at the Convocation Center and it needs to grab this game with three of the next four games coming on the road two of which are at Delaware and Northeastern. William & Mary meanwhile is coming off a win Saturday at home against 2-7 Hofstra in a revenge situation to move to 3-7 in the conference. The Tribe have won two of their last three games which snapped an eight-game losing streak but both of those wins came on their... [More]

Warriors vs Rockets FREE Winner

Today's featured FREE play comes from expert David Chan. He's cashed on B2B days with his NBA, going 4-1 (80%) overall. Check out his expert analysis below.

NBA: Golden State vs Houston, February 5, 2013 - 8:00 PM

Capper: David Chan
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/David_Chan

Pick: Houston -2.5

Analysis:

Golden State is 30-17 SU and 27-19-1 ATS; it's coming off a 113-93 win over Phoenix as a 10.5 point fav on the 2nd. As good as the Warriors have been playing of late, take note that they haven't won in Houston in over five years.

Stephen Curry would lead the charge vs. the Suns, scoring 29; Andrew Bogut contributed 11 points, seven boards and three blocks.

It's interesting to note though that Golden State is 0-3 ATS this year when playing with two days of rest.
Houston is 26-23 SU and 25-23-1 ATS; it's coming off a 109-95 win over Charlotte as a 12 point fav on the 2nd.

The Rockets have won five of seven, including four of five, while averaging 112.6 points in the process.

James Harden continues his strong season, finishing with 21 points, 11 boards and 11 assists; Chandler Parsons and Patrick Patterson finished with 24 apiece.

The Rockets would use their size down low, outscoring the Bobcats 58-32 in the paint, while also winning the rebound battle 50-35.

And note that not only is Houston 15-9 ATS at home this year, but it's also 4-2 ATS as a home fav of 3 points or less.

FREE HURRICANES VS MAPLE LEAFS WINNER

Sean 'The Paddy' Murphy had a PERFECT 3-0 Super Bowl Sunday Sweep, casing in on Baltomore in the 1st half, ATS and the over. In the NHL he is on a 42-19 (69%) run and he looks to extend that tonight. Today he gives away his expert analysis for FREE. Check it out below:

Pick: U (CAR at TOR)

Start: February 4, 2013 - 7:00 PM

Capper: Sean Murphy
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Sean_Murphy

Offered at: betfair @ Under 5.5 100

Analysis:

What to expect: These two teams are coming off very different games, as the Hurricanes were involved in a wild 5-3 loss in Philadelphia on Saturday, while the Leafs suffered a narrow 1-0 setback at the hands of the Bruins. Five of the last six meetings in this series have totaled five goals or less, and I expect more of the same at the ACC on Monday night. The 'Canes rank near the bottom of the league in terms of...goals allowed, but they won't face a particularly stiff test on Monday. Toronto is having a tough time generating a consistent offensive attack right now, and has topped out at three goals in its last six matchups against Carolina. We've seen some positive signs from the 'Canes offensively, but there's a good chance they'll run into James Reimer between the pipes for the Leafs tonight, and he's been red hot over the last couple of games. On Saturday, Reimer nearly stole a win for the Leafs, stopping 33 of 34 shots against the Bruins. Both teams have been struggling with the man adva... [More]

FREE DEVILS Vs ISLANDERS WINNER

Ben Burns is on a SENSATIONAL 22-3 (88%) NHL hot streak. Not only that, he is +$29,417 in all sports since the start of 2013. Today he is giving his expert analysis away for FREE. Check out his inside info below:

Pick: NY Islanders

Start: February 3, 2013 - 3:00 PM

Capper: Ben Burns
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Ben_Burns

Offered at: 5dimes @ -115 NY Islanders

Analysis:

As a young child, I once attended an Islanders game (at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto) on my birthday. That was back in the Bossy/Trottier/Potvin/Smith days, when the Isles were the best team in the world. I loved hockey and it was a special night for me.

Since that era ended, the Isles have largely fallen on hard times.

The Devils have been a better team than them nearly every year in recent memory. That gap may be shrinking though. That was evident at New Jersey on 1/31, when the Isles escaped with a 5-4 victory.

The Devils would obviously love some payback. However, they're not playing well right now and they're in a bit of a tough scheduling spot.

Meanwhile, having lived in the basement for so many years, the Isles would love to kick a struggling division rival while its down.

Although they are playing their first home game off a road trip, the Islanders come in well-rested and off back-to-back victories. The Devils played yesterday, suffering their fourth straight loss.

Despite having the venue and schedule in ... [More]

St Johns vs Georgetown FREE Winner

Today's featured FREE play comes from expert Marc Lawrence. Fresh off a perfect 2-0 sweep which extended his NBA & NCAAB streaks to 15-7 and 16-8-1 respectively, Marc has released a free NCAAB play for today. check out his expert analysis below.

NCAAB: ST. John's vs Georgetown

Capper: Marc Lawrence
https://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Marc_Lawrence

Pick: St. John's +8

Analysis:

Play On: St. John's

Note: When these old enemies met two weeks ago, the Johnnies were absolutely embarrassed at Madison Square Garden, falling behind by 23 points in the first half and suffering the indignity of a 67-51 pasting in front of a silenced New York City crowd. Now it's payback time.

Head coach Steve Lavin watched his very young St. John's squad struggle to a 9-7 start but they're putting it together now, currently on a 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS roll following Wednesday night's defeat of DePaul. The visitors also find themselves in a solid winning situation here: in Georgetown's last 13 games against Big East foes seeking same-season revenge, the Hoyas own a lousy 3-9-1 ATS mark, numbers that look even better when we note that St. John's has won and covered three straight in this series when the Red Storm own a winning record and they're looking to get even for an earlier defeat. With G'town currently a mediocre 3-5 ATS at home this season after revenge win of its own over Seton Hall, the points become the play. No phoning it in at the Veriz... [More]

Trail Blazers @ Jazz FREE Winner

Today's featured FREE play comes from expert Bryan Power.  For a 2nd straight day, Bryan Power went 4-1! He's now 42-19-1 overall the last 12 days! His top rated 10* Plays have long been sought after in the handicapping community. But lately, he's taken it to a whole new level, going an AMAZING 27-5-1 L33, including a 3-0 SWEEP last night! He's 14-2 w/ them the last 6 Days! Check out his expert analysis below.

NBA: Portland vs Utah, February 1, 2013 - 9:00 PM

Capper: Bryan Powerhttps://experts.covers.com/Handicapper/Bryan_Power

Pick: Utah -5.5

Analysis:

5* Utah (9:05 ET):  After suffering their worst home loss in franchise history, losing by 45 to Houston on Monday, the Jazz bounced back two nights later with a 104-99 win over the Hornets. But they failed to cover.  Expect a different story tonight as they are laying a short number to a Portland team that really struggles on the road. Entering the week, the Jazz was 15-4 SU at home while covering the spread 13 of 19 times.

The Trail Blazers are 7-14 straight up on the road this season, allowing an average of 101.3 PPG.  The team has lost 7 of 10 overall and what's most troubling about that is that most of those losses came at home.  This will be only the team's second road game in two weeks. They have lost their last three road games, including a 17-point loss in LA over the weekend.  Portland is fortunate not to be on a two-game losing streak as they cam... [More]
