If Alabama loses this game there is no way in hell that college football will allow Boise St to play for the national championship! ABSOLUTELY NONE!!!!!! And that is why this sport is such a fraud!!!!!!

if Alabama runs the table and wins the sec title game they deserve go to the national championship. Every top 15 team would go undefeated if they played boise st schedule

I'm so sick and tired of the Boise St krap. Yes, on any given day they could beat anyone in the country. BUT the week in and week out grind that it takes to play in a major conference doesn't compare to what Boise St goes through.

They can only play who is on their schedule and no major program will mention their name.

A team with zero losses shouldn't be penalized because no one has the balls to play them.

The BCS will be a Clusterfruck this year! Many teams will probably be bitching! I gotta find a 3 teamer to cail me out!
chilitokid says:

I'm not sure they will. The BCS will have a team that edges them out by .001 guaranteed

Boise needs to prove they can play back-to-back-to-back tough opponents.

Propose matchups to the #1 AP team, if they decline, then propose to play #2, and so on until you get 3 ranked opponents back-to-back-to-back.

Then we'll talk.
chilitokid says:

how can they if no one wants to play them because they know they'll probably lose which will cost them in the end.

if there are several unbeaten teams at end of year, I bama should NOT be going to the NC game...who knows, maybe Boise goes all the way..I dont think Oregon makes it undefeated

I'm sure if they ask the top 25 teams, 3 of them will commit. If Boise wants to prove themselves, offer to play them all on the road if a school is shaky about committing.

none of them will, they asked every team to schedule them this year and were politely asked to take a hike. Why? Because every top team only has something to lose!
ABooksNightmare says:

Correct, they all refused even when Boise said they'd go to them
tirepressure20 says:

they asked "every" team to schedule them and they all said no? proof?

This simply isn't true.

seriously, I swear I read it on yahoo.com. Boise even offered to go and play every team on their field.

I read a similar article for this year's team and I'll continue to look for it and post it when/if I find it. This article I posted was originally from a yahoo article. I'm just stating the facts.

I don't know, maybe I pay attention too closely when I read:

"He can hardly get his calls returned. Not by the SEC. Not by the Big Ten. Not by anyone."

To the author of the article: Which is it? Is he hardly getting his calls returned, meaning that some do call back. Or is he not hearing from "anyone".

I understand that schools are weary of playing them because they have everything to lose. It is a shame, because I would like to see Boise play 3 ranked, high profile schools all in a row. I think it would make for a great story, a mini-playoff type atmosphere and a great story for the sport.

But until they release an official document showing the request by Boise, and the denial by the proposed opponent, I just don't believe that they officially asked the top 25 teams, and that every team said no.

They probably won't release those official documents, but it would still be neat to see.

As #1 and #5 get bounced today and Boise in cruise control the NCAA will still screw them over.
Here's how much of a fraud this sport is: Ohio State never lead in this game but this week, even after this loss, they will still be ranked higher than Wisconsin. Guaranteed! And all you Ohio State fans who will try and tell me - well if we played Wisconsin 10 times this season blah, blah, blah!! Well you're 0-1 and you don't get another shot. And if your team had the balls to play Boise you'd have 2 losses!
Honestly, I have nothing against Ohio State but I do have lots of issues with the BCS and NCAA ratings formula.
