biggest bet of season - tonight

If you're like me, this season has been win a couple lose a couple.

Well, it's time to make some cash dammit.  I have watched almost every Syracuse game this year, and feel very confident they can roll over Butler.

Six points?  Really?  That's a gift ... people are making way too much of AO being out.  Yes, he's their starting center, but it's not like he is the difference maker.  The bigger issue is Wes Johnson getting back to 100%.  He is a star and is going to be very hard to contain.  I think he's ready to put the team on his back.

I think AO's injury was actually a catalyst bringing this team together even more.  I have seen a good effort on the glass, turnovers, etc.  It's like everyone else is stepping up.  Plus, they have had two weeks now to practice and gameplan without AO.

Sooooo... thank you general public for buying into the Butler myth.  The fact that the dogs in the tourney have played so well makes this line smaller than it should be.

Cuse -6 .... my biggest bet of the season.

Not really, man.

Cuse plays a 2-3 zone that often baffles many of the more athletic teams who can't shoot from the outside.  Butler can and will stroke.

Cuse is at their best when they can get out and run.  If there's one thing Butler does damn well, it's getting other teams to play the way they want.  Cuse will have to defend for a full 34 seconds, and they'll have to execute in their own half court games.  On top of all this, Cuse gets to come into this game as the tourney's de facto favorite.  Coming off 20 point wins last weekend, traveling cross-country to Utah, this won't be the easiest atmosphere for Cuse to pick up where they left off last weekend.

I believe Butler is capable of winning this game SU.  Either Butler or Cornell will pull the next upset special you can book that shit.  I think Cuse is in a dangerous spot tonight.

Butler is a GREAT matchup for the Cuse.  The Orange are the best transition team in the country.  Missed threes by Butler will translate into easy points for the Cuse.  Butler can win if they shoot the 3 ridiculous, but Cuse actually has a better percentage behind the arc then Butler.  So where is the advantage Butler has???  They have never seen this zone, so if we compare defenses, edge goes to Cuse.  If we want to get picky, you could say Butler has a deeper bench, but so did Gonzaga -- and we know how that turned out.

Remember Dickie V picked Gonzaga to beat the Cuse.  The more people on the Butler bandwagon the better!  I like upsets as much as the next guy, but some times favorites do cover.  I like the odds here.

See the line just went up to - 6 1/2.  It must have been the bet I made that forced the action.

Couldn't agree with you more Boilermaker, but what I have learned is to bet on the teams you know best.

There are many Cuse games I don't play because I think the line is whacked.  I read almost everything I can about this team -- and yes I am a fan -- but right now I think those who are unfamiliar with the Cuse think the AO injury will be a big factor.  It won't be, esp. now that Wes Johnson is playing like he did at the beginning of the season.

Just sharing my thoughts and whatever insight I can bring.
