Packers' fans

Too late or a big speech about my opinion, but I believe the Pack are going to be a pretty good, fun to watch, exciting team this year.

Aaron Rodgers is a good QB, and I'm tired of hearing no nothings say other wise. Assuming he beats out Brian Brohm outa Louisville, there could be a lot worse backups out there.

Hope that douchebag Favre finally goes the hell away and lets the NFC Central start a season without all of his bullshit.

Its' gonna be a fun year with the Bears, Vikes, and pack from a pure Football fans' interest.

Can't wait!.........

I'm actually a Falcons fan, but several freinds of mine are huge GB fans down here and I'm flying up to the Sunday Night Game against da Bears at Green Bay.  Should be a great trip!

Im proud of are team and what Ted Thompson has done espcially the way he handled the situation with Brett,he stuck to his guns and maned up and nacked Aaaron that was class.

What do you guys think of Micheal Vick maybe coming to GB.

If you are interested at all Hops look up mr thread i started...I had a big write up on how I see good value in taking the packers to win the superbowl at 20:1. I know its a long shot, and i ended up not taking the bet. However, I just had a friend who went to vegas put 5 units on the Packers winning over 8.5 games for me. Long story short, I feel really good about this packers team this year. I may be blinded because I am a die hard Pack fan, but I think it was a well researched play.

As for brohm, he was not the back up last yr. He lost that spot to Matt Flynn, a national championship winning QB from LSU. Although undersized, i like him as a back up.

Lastly, FlyersFan, i am 50/50 on Vick. I think he would be a nice option to have vick as a back up...not a true QB, however, he brings experience to the backup position and is a tremendous athlete. IF the pack were to get him, they would get him for cheap. They could show the rest of the league that he has changed his ways (assuming he has) and trade him off later in the yr. to a team who is in need of a QB ( for whatever reason i.e. starter got hurt, etc.). In that case they could get a few late round draft picks for him. In that situation I think it would be a great move, cause I like Ted Thompsons abilit to find talent late in the draft. I just wouldnt like it because Rodgers does not need another media circus again. I do give Rodgers a ton of credit though, he took everything the media threw at him with class. He earned my respect 100%. Lastly, i agree with thomspon getting rid of favre when he did. He looked like a poor move at first, however, we saw how favre collapsed late last yr and with rodgers contract ending the following yr, who is to say he wouldnt have looked elsewhere. Than we would be stuck the Oakland trying to land a franchise guy. The Thomspon believed he would be the face of the franchise, and although the record didnt show it (mainly because of a poor defense last yr) Rodgers played great. 4k in passing 26 (or was it 28? ) TD last yr and 12 picks. Very solid season.

Go pack Go

We dont have much to lose getting Vick, and I really dont think Vick expects to be playing ahead of Aaaron Rodgers,I think hed just be grateful to be playing, ive not seen many players bitch and moan once GB has taken a chance on them look at Woodson, he was okay with Oakland but once he came to GB he became the backbone of the Defensive backcorps. I agree Rodgers was complete class with the whole situation he waited patiently for three years until Brett decided to hand down the torch thats the way it should have went,I wouldnt have blamed Aaaron if he told Brettt to grow up.

Lets Go Pack.

Did the Pack find a defense this off season?

Green Bay lost a lot of close games last season.   One more year removed from the Farve issue and a team totally behind A Rogers should get them over the hump and make the playoffs if not win the division outright    Bringing in Vick may help, but how will Vick hold up when it gets freezing in Green Bay?

I am from Wisconsin and until they get rid of Ted the moron Thompson the GM and frumpy grumpy McCarthy, they are going nowhere. McCarthy can't coach and is scrambling by firing his special teams and defensive coaches. It is still his team that he has led nowhere. They were the most penalized team in the NFL and that is poor coaching. Rodgers can't close the deal as he failed every time he had a chance to win coming down the stretch. Super Bowl hopes are a joke. Look for 8-8 or 9-7.
