Vikings, stop kissing up to Brett Farve, he's making a fool of you.

Go out and get a real quarterback.

As I stated 3 years ago when began his annual retirement program, he will never get you to the Superbowl. Actually, I had many heated discussions with die-hard Favre fans on Wagerline ( before they merged with Covers.) He his an egomaniac.

Now with 30 year old, 6' '7" 280 lbs. Julius Peppers in the division, you guys better have an ambulance on the sideline because he won't make through the season..

Hahaha... you sound like a disgruntled CHI or GB fan.  Get a life if you think Peppers makes that much of an impact.  There is a reason CAR let him go.

What did he do for them, take them to the playoff's ? LOL.

The Vikings are so loaded that a Mexican rookie Quarterback could have taken them to the playoff's ...M Sanchez drafted last year is a prime example.

Guess you didn't see the Carolina Vikings game.. Minnesota Coach was begging for Favre to come off the field. ( that's a twist  ) before Peppers dismembered him.

You don't think that Peppers is an IMPACT player? 81 sacks in 8 years is a hell of an IMPACT. If you don't think that Peppers is going to make an IMPACT on the Bear D..........you just aren't paying attention.

No way the Vikings get to the NFC Championship game without Favre.  NO CHANCE.

The Sanchez example is skewed. The Jets had the number 1 rushing offense in football. They also had the number 1 scoring defense in football. The Jets took Sanchez to the playoffs. Sanchez didn't take the Jets to the playoffs. The Vikings wouldn't have smelled the playoffs with TJack or Sage Rosenfels. Having said that.......Favre is a big prima donna. He should come into camp with everybody else and quit acting like a spoiled teenager.

Lol..One game they didn't need to win against Carolina where was peppers the rest of the year?..Funny every sports writer ate their words about favre but their are still clowns like you out there. their were 3 lost fumble that were devestating, 2 in the redzone and one in their own redzone. He also put them in position to win the game if not for a stupid mistake by the coach, putting 12 men on the field by calling two different formations. That is not to mention the amount of hits he took in the game. He threw the interception that lost the opportunity to kick another one.

They weren't even in that game except for favre, Childress knows that so he won't give up easily. Of course guys like you wait for a crazy game like that to think you can blame favre for it.

The majority of the people out there think the vikings would have won the game if not for the fumbles but it was a loss and that is all the matters.

New Orleans lost games at the end of the year they didn't need and were dominated by the Cowboys, teams lose games they don't need sometimes, in a team sport it only takes a few players who take it easy. Mckinney was one of those players...

4 games interdivision against NO and ATL, the biggest games for carolina ...0 sacks for peppers..talk about overated.

Yeah, Favre didn't put up great numbers last year.  Kind of a lackluster performance if you ask me.  Man, what were the Vikings thinking?
Apogee says:
03/28/10 02:56PM
Farve could be juicing

its amazing how he keeps getting up after every hit

carj says:
03/28/10 03:17PM
yep..it is amazing....I do think maybe we should look at the 280 plus guys who carry minimuim body fat first..just a thought..not that I care..they are gladiators who get paid..
don-juan says:

That's strange ? How did the Vikings make the playoffs in 2008 with 2nd year rookie T.Jackson and back up Frerotte? The year before Favre.

FrankieNapp says:
03/28/10 03:23PM

Peppers is a dog. He had 10.5 sacks. 5 Forced Fumbles. 2 Interceptions and 1 TD.........Last season. Wouldn't want those numbers on my team.
carj says:
03/28/10 03:33PM

There are a lot of defensive ends/    3/4 pass rushing OLBers whos motors run on every play... he is overated doesn't bring it on every play..

don-juan says:
03/28/10 03:37PM

You are a typical Favre fan, blame everyone but him. Who threw another interception on his final play against the Giants @ Green Bay in the Playoffs two years ago ?
And again last year in the playoff's at New Orleans, what bonehead threw another interception, actually throwing back against the grain when he could have run for 5 more yards and kicked a routine 28 yard field goal ?
Now Coach Childress is acting like a child again by brown nosing a 41 year old (so called) quarterback.

 Give me a break

carj says:
03/28/10 03:46PM

lol.the fg was 56 yards from where they were after the penalty...and with 5 yards would have been 51 ...if he got 5 in the condition he was in..

Try responding with something that makes it sound if you actually watched the game instead of some comment that totally screws up the ACTUAL FACTS and only points out what I said..CLOWNS LIKE YOU DONT ACTUALLY WATCH THE GAME.

carj says:
03/28/10 03:51PM

Do you really think they would have passes if it was a 33 yard fg after the penalty?..

don-juan says:
03/28/10 04:56PM

Yes, in fact it was on the 33 originally. You obviously did not watch the game, "clown."

The ball was on the New Orleans 33 yard line a 5 yard penalty for having 12 players on the field moved it back to the 38, Favre took the snap on the 38 and ran to the right side of the field, back up to the 38 yd line.

The field ahead of him was WIDE open for at least another 10 yards for him to run, but he elected to pass the ball diagonally ACROSS the field for another interception at the N.O. 22 yard line ( which I lighted in red for You ). A bonehead play by 20 year quarterback.

Below was the exact last play by Minn in the 4th quarter.

B.Favre pass deep middle intended for S.Rice INTERCEPTED by T.Porter at

NO 22. T.Porter to NO 48 for 26 yards (J.Sullivan).

don-juan says:
03/28/10 04:57PM

yards (W.Smith, D.Sharper).

gain (R.Ayodele).

gain (R.Ayodele, S.Ellis).

PENALTY on MIN, Offensive 12

On-field, 5 yards, enforced at NO 33 - No Play.

FrankieNapp says:
03/28/10 05:02PM
It would have been a 56 yard attempt.

I don't know where it would have been if Favre ran....... or slid......... or completed the pass................

I do know that it would have been a 56 yard attempt..............if the Vikes had not gained a yard from the previous line of scrimmage.
carj says:
03/28/10 05:06PM

I can't believe NON Juan argued that point.

carj says:
03/28/10 05:13PM

10 yards now, funny you said 5 before.lol how convient.lol 5 yards was a stretch ..

For the record NON, this is how it works..7 to 8 on the placement by the holder,10 because the fg uprights are behind the end zone..football 101 watch next time, you learn if you actually watch the game instead of just listening to the media idiots..........

don-juan says:
03/28/10 05:36PM
Hey Carj, stick to Carjacking because nobody wants you and bonehead around football.
don-juan says:
03/28/10 05:39PM
Carj.. Stick to Carjacking because nobody wants you and bonehead QB around football, with the exception of that brown noiser.
carj says:
03/28/10 06:07PM
LOL...what the facts irrated you?..i guess if your a fan of the other teams  in his division you don't want to see him again...
don-juan says:
03/28/10 06:52PM
Carjack...Any professional football player or seasoned fan knows that you run for your 5 to 10 yards rather than throw the ball across the field in the most critical situation of the year.  Except for you and your egomaniac quarterback B.Favre
carj says:
03/28/10 07:59PM
LOL..watch football don't just listen to the annoucers, it obviously changes the facts for weak minded people. As long as minnesota wants to get a shot at winning a superbowl they know they need Favre, the funny thing is all the media agrees now. There were a lot of teams that got no where close to where favre took his teams, yours obviously was one of them.lol

Can't believe I have agreed with you wholeheartedly throughout this entire thread
jesron1269 says:

Google Brett Farve NFC Championship injury once and see what he was playing with.  He had at a minimum a pulled hamstring and likely torn hamstring based on how black and blue his entire left leg was at the end of the game.  The reason he didn't run was because he couldn't run.  Again you sound like a sour graps GB or CHI fan.  Move along troll!

Sharp__Action says:
03/28/10 08:03PM
Don, CarJ trolls the NFL forum and comments in every thread. Unfortunately, he doesn't know too much. Some people just like to listen to themselves talk.

Defending a QB throwing ACROSS HIS BODY late in the game when in FG range is just ridiculous.

AP was having ball security issues, OK i get that. But Chester Taylor is as consistent as they come. You give the ball to Chester, pick up 3 yards or so, and give your kicker a chance to win the game.

I think a lot of it is on Childress also. He continues to be the most clueless coach in situations where the game is on the line. Looks like a deer in headlights all too often. That's why he loves Favre, because he doesnt have to actually coach, he just lets the drama queen call the plays when the game gets tight.
Sharp__Action says:
03/28/10 08:07PM

WE'VE ALL HEARD THIS ONE BEFORE!!!!

Excuses, excuses, excuses, it's always the same with the Drama Queen. When he tanked at the end of last season for us (the Jets), it was the same thing.

Ooh its my shoulder. ooh its my hammy.  Waa waaa waa. Bottom line is the guy singlehandedly lost us games in Seattle, San Fran, and at home against Denver. And because of his regression, we lost 4 of last 5 games and just missed the playoffs.

Your injury argument is MOOT. He complains about injury year after year, he could just do what ANYONE else would do in his situation --- RETIRE
don-juan says:
03/28/10 08:15PM

Have you once even considered that maybe his age was a factor down the stretch, not to mention the fact that he has thrown more interceptions than any other QB in NFL history ?

Do you really think that's just bad luck ?

Childress is the real clown.. and trust me.. The Vikings will not win a Superbowl as long as Brett Favre is under center.. He does nothing but stab people in the heart.. Brett, Oh I think I'm gonna retire again poor baby.

Sharp__Action says:

I have never agreed with Don Juan as much as in this thread

+1111111 to that entire post above.
carj says:

The Jets guy is still whinning about my Pats comment..Going after Favre is not going to win the jets more games..they got two free victories last year to make the playoffs, won't happen this year. This time they have to try and beat Miami once.lol
Sharp__Action says:
03/28/10 08:35PM
Great job refuting our arguments which pertained to this thread by playing "deflect deflect deflect". You lose again. Run away.

On to the next one
jesron1269 says:

LOL... you have a GB fan (DonJuan) and a NYJ fan (Sharp) as the only two people jerking each other off.  Not much credibility between the two of you combined.  I have never been a Brett Farve appologist as a lifelong Vikings fan but honestly at times you just need to give the man his due.  Without Farve the Vikes don't get to the NFC Championship game.  Keep circle jerking it will not change the fact that he is still one of the best QBs in the NFL.  Even at age 40.
don-juan says:
03/28/10 09:27PM

TY,   You must be pretty sharp.

Just for the record and to set these chumps straight.. I am a Football Fanatic, Not a GB Fan, not a Jets fan,,,  I love Football and all teams . I just don't like QBs who crap on their fans.
Brett is hateful and vindictive..
Green Bay Packers bent over backwards for that clown and when they had enough of his indecisiveness they moved on and traded him. But NO, he wasn't just satisfied to go to another team. He slowly worked his way back into the division so he could stick it to GB, which was an insult and a slap in the face to the Packer fans.

Well trust me on this..what goes around comes back around..If the Vikings go wagging their tail after him, they will be sorry, again.

Just remember who warned you fans.

jesron1269 says:

Based on all of the above it sounds more and more like you are a GB fan.  Nice try.

Again................Favre is a drama queen, prima donna, and a spoiled teenager all rolled into one.

He also had a tremendously productive season. The Vikings DO NOT SMELL the playoffs without Favre. He simply is one of the greatest players to ever play the game. I am not a Favre fan. I am not a Favre apologist. I think that his actions and demeanor OFF THE FIELD are juvenile........at best. But on the field.........he makes the Vikings a LEGITIMATE Super Bowl contender. TJACK and Sage Rosenfels.........give me a break.

The Vikings lost to the Saints because of turnovers. They completely outplayed New Orleans. The discrepancy in yards gained is ridiculous. If Adrian Peterson showed up.........and held on to the football......this thread wouldn't even exist.

How come no hate for Peterson? He is the reason that the Vikings did not go to the Super Bowl.........not Brett Favre.
MDAAKD says:

Vikings wouldn't smell the playoffs without Favre lol.  Hmmm, they won the division for the second consecutive year and FAVRE WASN'T ON THE TEAM THE YEAR BEFORE LAST.  We also had a better team this year with Harvin and Loadholt on offense.  I do agree about your statement regarding AD though.
