We have a total of twelve pitchers with ERA's under 3.00 going on Friday night and we are going after an under dog that has a great chance to be a winner at our sports monitor. Although there are twelve hot pitchers there are also five cold pitchers with ERA's over 6.00 and we will give away the best mlb sports picks or best shot at winning out of the five cold pitchers.Brewers +118 (1* FREE PLAY)Yovani Gallardo looks for a fifth consecutive quality start as he has turned his season around of late. Though he still posts a 6.00 ERA on the road we are thankful for that because we are getting great odds for him on Friday night as he faces off against the Diamondbacks, a team he has absolutely dominated. The Diamondbacks have a combined 76 AB vs. Gallardo posting just a .211 average and a .528 OPS. That has resulted in Gallardo going 7-0 with a 1.23 ERA which includes a 1.59 ERA in three career starts at Chase Field, where he will pitch late Friday night. To make things even better he is on 5 days rest where the Brewers are 20-6 in his last 26 starts on 5 days rest. He'll also face a cold Ian Kennedy. Continue reading at

Scott Diamond vs. White Sox An interesting probable pitching day for Wednesday as we have a total of six cold starters with ERA's over 6 in their last three starts while we have a total of eight probable pitchers with an ERA under 2.57 over their last three starts. There is one that sticks out to us that has the most value and most interest to get our best return on investment for
mlb sports picks.
Twins +146 (1* FREE PLAY )
What a great name for a pitcher that's considered to be on of the hottest pitchers going right now with a 1.40 ERA over his 1st three starts of the year. Diamond was dominant against both the Blue Jays and Angels going 14 IP combined while allowing 0 ER. He'll face the White Sox who are 21st in OPS vs. LHP with a .663 and the White Sox have 42 AB with a .238 and .646 OPS against him. It should be interesting if the Twins continue their quiet hot hitting and dominance over the White Sox.
Twins are 17-5 in their last 22 at Chicago and are quietly 9th with a .736 OPS vs. LHP. That is relevant because they'll face Chris Sale who struggles to go deep into games. At home he's gone just 5, 6, and 5 innings over his 3 starts and that is a major issue considering the White Sox have a 4.66 bullpen ERA at home and carry a 5.23 bullpen E...

Friday's Pitching Report & Weekend PromosBy
Freddy Wills on 04/26/2012 8:45 PM
We
are just on fire right now on our MLB POD's as we are 15-7 on the year
with one game pending Thursday night. Friday night has all the top
stars in baseball taking the mound for their respective teams and to
celebrate we are offering a:
SPECIAL 3 DAY MLB SALE
3 DAYS ALL SPORTS $49.95 - GET 7 DAYS NBA PLAYOFFS FREE W/PURCHASE7 DAYS MLB $60 (WAS $99)3 WEEKS MLB $150 (WAS $299 FOR 30 DAYS)MLB SEASON $499 (WAS $699)Cardinals -118 (1.5* FREE PLAY)
We
lost a tough POD on these boys on Tuesday but I'll back them in this
match up with the Brewers on Friday. First of all Jake Westbrook has
really impressed me posting a 1.31 ERA and 1.02 WHIP over his first 3
starts. He lost some weight in the off season and it is certainly
paying dividends already. Westbrook was not great vs. the Brewers last
year, but in 4 starts he carried a 4.12 ERA is much better than the
opposing starter and the Brewers just are not a good road team as they
are hitting just .208 on the road vs. RHP while the Cardinals are
hitting .260 and scoring 5.44 runs per 9 at home vs. RHP.
Cardinals
have the 6th best OPS .775 vs. RHP thus far and that's not fluke they
are 8-1 following an o...

Tuesday's Pitching Report & Free Pick
By
Freddy Wills on 04/23/2012 9:14 PM
I
remember like it was yesterday. I'm talking about Jose Reyes last
appearance as a Met as he cowardly took himself out of the last game of
the season after his first hit so he could just about guarantee himself
the batting title. I knew that was the last time we would see Reyes
as a Met and it was almost bitter sweet because that was the highlight
of his career here as the Mets never did anything in the post season.
So who will get the last laugh when all is said and done? I'm not
sure, but I do know the Mets will honor Reyes with a video tribute
tomorrow night which has stirred some controversy. I actually like the
Mets to be fired up for this game and I think Johan will throw a gem.
Mets & Santana +104 (2* FREE PLAY)
Johan is coming off a terrible start on the road against the Braves
only throwing 55 pitches and he's also on 6 days rest which to me means
he should be able to pitch deep into the game instead of his average 5
IP at home where he's posted a 0.90 ERA this season in 2 starts.
Santana has actually been better vs. the Marlins than Josh Johnson has
been vs....

Thursday's Free Pick & Pitching Report 4/19/12
By
Freddy Wills on 04/18/2012 8:35 PM
Nothing
wrong with a little bit of comedy when we are winning clients money
(10-5 on MLB POD's w/Marlins pending on Wednesday). Winning
sports picks is a good thing and aside from our free
mlb sports pick below we would like to share some Chuck Norris jokes since Bud Norris is our free pick for Thursday.
Chuck Norris doesn't steal bases. He is given them as gifts.Barry Bonds did not take steroids. He was touched by the right hand of Chuck Norris.Players who hit behind Chuck Norris don't get any RBI, because Chuck Norris always drives himself in.When Chuck Norris plays third base, the first baseman wears a catcher's mitt. When Chuck Norris bats, he hits 2.000.
Take Norris & The Astros +149 (1* FREE PLAY)
I don't see a pitching advantage for Washington here as Bud Norris was
pretty consistent home/away/night/day last year and I'm fine backing
him with this type of juice at +149. He goes up against Edwin Jackson
who is off a com...

Tuesday's Hot & Cold Pitchers | 4/11/12By
Freddy Wills on 04/09/2012 8:35 PM
It's
just about that time when MLB starting rotations go through their
second turn and on Tuesday we have five pitchers making their second
start of the season. Our hot and cold pitching report will be a mix of
success from past April's as well as success against their current
opponent. The one pitcher we are highlighting today has been written
off and many even think his season last year was a fluke, but we are
backing him tomorrow as we recommend the following:
Take Lohse and the Cardinals +103 (2* FREE PLAY)
I'm
not going to say Kyle Lohse is really an ace, but he sure has the look
of one right now. He held the Marlins to 1 ER over 7.1 IP and his
success in April is no coincidence. Last year he had a 1.64 ERA in
April and over the last 3 years combined he posts a 2.92 ERA and a 7-2
record. Many feel his xFIP from a season ago suggests he will come back
to life as he posted a 4.04 xFIP and an ERA of 3.39. Lohse did
struggle down the stretch posting a 7.82 ERA in the post season, but as
far as April goes he really is an Ace and I'll back hi... [More]

Friday's Hot & Cold Probable StartersBy
Freddy Wills on 04/05/2012 9:01 PM
We
had a successful opening day for our free pick with the Reds winning
4-0 over the Marlins who continue to struggle for the second day in a
row. We also caught a tough loss with the Indians blowing their 4-0
lead giving up 3 in the 9th.
Friday the rest of the league is in
action and it made me think just how different betting on baseball is
than other sports. You can easily find value on any given day and some
days you have to pay the price on -175 or higher. We try not to get
into all that action and like to keep our plays between +150 and -150
but occasionally we will go outside those numbers. Friday's hot starter
is Jamie Garcia from the reigning World Series Champions who opened up
Wednesday night.
Take Garcia & The Cardinals +115 (2* PLAY)
Despite
Garcia's struggles on the road in his career we like the Cardinals here
because of Garcia's consistency in April. Garcia had a 2.79 ERA in 5
starts this spring with a 1.09 WHIP and had a 2.08 ERA last April.
Garcia over 9 GS in the last 3 years in April carries a 1.60 ERA. Talk
about starting hot. He also has seriously good numbers vs. the Brewers
who are n...

Probable Starters - 4/5/12 - Hot & ColdBy
Freddy Wills on 04/04/2012 9:06 PM
Yes,
the MLB season is back and so is our daily article on hot and cold
starters. We will do something a bit different to open the season since
we do not have the last three starts for a pitcher in the given year to
go back on. Instead we will look at each pitcher's April performance
from 2011. Sometimes it is just coincidence and other times a pitcher
is just fresh, ready and at his best at the beginning of the season.
Technically we have just 4 starters with ERA's under 3.00 in April from
2011, but some did not pitch in April in 2011 in Strasburg, Santana, and
Johnny Cueto. Like last year we will break down the hot pitcher who we
give the best chance to win as a free pick and today that pitcher is
Johnny Cueto and the Reds. Don't forget to check out our discount MLB
early bird specials
Take Cueto & The Reds -143 (2* PLAY)
Cueto
did not start until May of last year and when he did pitch he was on
fire with a 2.20 ERA and that never changed throughout the year as he
posted a 1.38 ERA at home and a relevant 2.01 ERA during 9 day starts.
He has not been dominant this spring, but a 1.20 WHIP and a past of

2012 Colorado Rockies Preview | Rockies PredictionBy
Freddy Wills on 03/08/2012 8:39 PM
The
Colorado Rockies are off a disappointing year are 30 to 1 to win the
World series and Vegas set the total number of wins at 81 (see:
MLB Win Totals Preview).
The
Rockies were the favorites to win the NL West in 2012, but injuries to
their best player kept them from being competitive as Carlos Gonzalez
never seemed to be healthy. But there is much to look forward to from
this Rockies squad. There will be quite a different look from last
year’s opening day lineup as 4 position players are gone and replaced by
established players who have been key players on winning teams in the
past in Michael Cuddyer, Casey Blake, Marco Scutaro, and Ramon
Hernandez.
The Rockies traded Jason Hammel and got rid of Ubaldo
Jiminez last year and Jorge De La Rosa is coming off Tommy John surgery
and likely won’t pitch until June or July. That leaves a lot of doors
open and question marks for this team’s pitching situation that will
likely be answered in spring training.
Notable Losses:
Their
closer Huston Street is gone adding another question mark to the

2012 San Francisco Giants Preview & PredictionBy
Freddy Wills on 03/01/2012 8:49 PM
Vegas have set the San Francisco Giants as the favorites to win the NL West by setting them their total wins at 87.5. (See: MLB Win Totals Preview).
The Giants led the NL West as late as August 9th, but it was injuries
that really kept them from going back to the playoffs and making a deep
run. The Giants used the DL more than any other MLB team in 2011 (25
times). It seemed the Giants had a letdown from their World Series win
the year before but considering all the injuries and where the outlook
is for 2012 it is not all that bad. I’ll break down all the SF Giants
acquisitions and waives as well as projected lineups and rotation for
the upcoming year and give you my prediction to wrap it all up. Don’t
miss out on my MLB POD’s in 2012. I have over 200 units profit in 3 years and along with a #1 finish among elite handicappers on Sportscapping.com.
Notable Losses:

key loss has to be OF Carlos Beltran who really gave the Giants a spark

2012 Arizona Diamondbacks PreviewBy
Freddy Wills on 02/29/2012 7:39 PM
The Diamondbacks are a real threat in the NL West once again and are listed as "contenders" in our MLB Win Totals Preview article. Vegas Odds set the total wins for the regular season at 86 after they won 94 a year ago.
Can
the Diamondbacks find consistency? Before last year the Diamondbacks
finished in the NL West basement in back to back seasons, but with a lot
of help from Manger Kirk Gibson this team won the division by 8 games
over the World Champion San Francisco Giants. They were 9th in the
league in runs per game and home runs. Their pitching was middle of the
pack, but was better than average in allowing runners on base thanks to
their bullpen. Unfortunately, the Milwaukee Brewers got the best of
them in a best of 5 series which ultimately came down to which team was
home. There are some additions and some losses for the 2012
Diamondbacks that we will go over below which will lead to our 2012
outlook. Our career MLB POD record speaks... [More]

Throw out the running game on both sides today. Both teams have
