Sick stats about Carey Price...

I heard this on TV last night ... Carey Price has 8 win and 26 losses since all-stars break last year!

Is there any other ''so-called'' franchise goalie with such a bad record?

I didn't check if this was 100% accurate but seriously this is SICK and wondering why are the Habs still starting him...

He seriously need to get this shit together and wake up or he might fall from high ... I mean you look at the kid when he's between the post and 1 period he looks sharp and awesome ... another period he looks like a drunk idiot who don't care.

Honestly, he's partying way too much and don't care he has millions and that's about it. IMO its not his fault ... the Montreal Canadian organization didn't take care of the ''franchise'' goalie, look at Crosby in Pitts... Lemieux took him under his wing and make sure he stay focus. Montreal what they did is hand millions to a 19-20yrs old kid and let him do whatever he wants such has going to some crazy bars in MTL which are KNOWN places by hockey players around the league. Players love to come play in MTL due to the night life being crazy... the kid is living alone in all this. Even at the beginning of each seasons the Montreal Canadians organization is informing their players of which bars to avoid etc due to previous debacle etc ... guess what Price did ... the extreme opposite and went right into it.

Not saying he will NEVER get back to the player he was when he took the place of Huet but ... he better start waking up or he will be on the trading block with Halak pushing him.

All he needs is guidance...he definitely has the skill and mechanics to be a #1 in the NHL.

You can tell this guy has a major ego...when their ego is in a good state they are unbelievable....when it's hurting they can't do anything right.

Terrell Owens and Carey Price are the same.

I heard on a sports talk show yesterday a interest stat about price this year. If you are a 100 dollar better on every game in which price has started you would be down 580 this year opposed to halak you would be up 830. Thought i share that interesting point.

Montreal may have decided to start price tonight as bruins have
scored O goals in their last 2 games -
0-2 loss vs detroit / 0-1 loss vs nyrangers

2 goals in last 3 games / 2-0 win vs edmonton
3 goals in last 4 games / 2-0 vs oilers / 1-2 loss vs njersey

I'm going to take montreal +.5 -114 reg.time
don't even gotta win game - just get to OT

Good Luck $$$

I spent a lot of time in Montreal last year. His problem was too much time in the clubs drinking (amongst other things). Living the rockstar life in that city.

IM from MTL and what carpark said it is absolutely true...

Price was in bar late in the night drinking beer+ trying to close with some hot chicks every night so this is not helping him to be a good goalie on the ice...

From what I hear, his main problem this year is he has to much pressure from the media and fans to perform well at every game and we ( fan in MTL) have gives him a lot of time to perfect his game but instead he can't win game... We want him to be the number 1goaler in mtl since 3 year or so and we give him all he needs to be the number 1 but he can't deliver...so that gives him a lot of pressure + halak play pretty well so this is not helping him as well...

I wish they bring him back to halmilton to get his game back on track but this is not going to happen for sure...

Actually Price is in because Halak is injured,he has a groin issue.Thats the reason he's in.

These two will play to a shootout tonite.

BOL to all

Montreal has some of the best nightlife in all of North America... trust me, i've been.. head down St. Catherine's street on a Saturday night, and you'll know what I mean.

Anyways, I agree with everything here, blame has to be put at the feet of the Habs organization.  They pumped this kid's ego so much, he's basically a repeat of Jose Theodore when he was in Montreal.. simply put, he doesn't give a shit..  I also heard he doesn't try at all in practice, just goes through the motions.  This kid is a cancer in the dressing room, that I am sure of.  Just look at how they play in front of Halak compared to their play in front of Price?  Not saying they are great defensively, but that defensive effort (or I should say, LACK OF) against the Thrashers was beyond horrendous.  They simply don't want to play in front of this kid.

I'm already seeing where this road is heading, and that's a one way ticket out of Montreal soon, just like Theodore.  Depending on where they are in the standings at the trade deadline, and assuming that Halak can keep playing as well as he has, I wouldn't be surprised to see Price shipped out of town.  Unless the organization can do something to right this kid's ship, which is doubtful imho.

Too much pressure on him in this hockey crazy market, he won't be a good goalie again until he is out of Montreal.

absolutely nothing to do with the all star game. the kid has serious drug and alcohol problems among other social dysfunctions.

he was god awful vs the flyers in the playoffs 2 years ago cost them the series, he was inconsistent in the boston series in the 1st round that year. last year he was flimsy.

he lacks complete concentration on the ice. he doesnt fight to see where loose pucks are coming from, isnt agressive in his crease. he has the tools, one of the best goalies going from side to side, handles the puck very well but he's just not very smart in net. doesnt know how to compete through traffic, gets rattled very easily. when things are going well like they were 2 years and no expectations he was great but ever since that game 7 vs boston where ppl anointed him the next Patrick Roy, hes been dreadful!

".he has lost his swagger.  That's the only thing wrong with him."

Haha, there's a couple more things wrong with Carey Price's game than losing his swagger, thanks for making me laugh though. Young goalies don't fend well being thrown into the #1 position right away, Carey Price is no exception. Trading Huet away and making Price #1 when Montreal was #1 in the east heading into the playoffs was the dumbest thing ever. You can't put that kind of pressure on a goalie that young. Add that to many other things and you have a very poor goaltender at the moment.

icemantbi and flutiemaniac you guys are both right on it ... he's victim of a too ''good'' night life in Montreal its some crazy shit and you can ask any people around the world and any players around the league they are SERIOUSLY happy to come play in montreal and rest assured they are going out no matter if they lose or win!

He needs help for sure but he will stay in MTL until Bob Gainey is in place ... this is the only reason he is still starting game because of the GM

You guys are missing a huge point.  Yes the Montreal nightlife can be a paramount distraction, and maybe it did affect his play on the ice a little last year, but this year it's a different story.

The defense in front of him have been terrible lately, and are leaving guys wide open in the slot.  Carey has played well enough to win most nights, and stole 2 games early in the season, but when they lose, he either doesn't get the defensive help he needs, or his team can't score more than 2 goals.  It certainly doesn't help that they are missing Andrei Markov.

Price is an emotionally unstable over-rated P.O.S. Everytime he allows a goal, he looks to his left, he looks to his right, trying to blame it on someone else. When will we get rid of him?

There we go. Why start analyzing what kind of problems he can encounter off the ice when it's so clear that this year, it's the D-men that are playing like complete shit. The whole team is a mess defensively. It's not not always a question of allowing less shots on goal but it's  what kind of shots are getting on goal.

DONT USE THE URBAN TERM "SICK" IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT IT MEANS....GRANDPA.

The proper phrasing would be The N.O Saints are sick .......meaning there the shit ( a good team) saying price has sick stats would mean they are good and thats not the case.
