Jazz and Hawks Series Winners????

I'm looking at these Series prices for the Jazz and the Hawks, and I see extreme value.  Now, the 2nd questions is 'is there a chance they could actually win the series?'

I personally think the Jazz have a decent shot at this, because they've played the damn Lakers the last 3 or 4 years in the playoffs, and they've never had this good of a team that's clicking right now.  They somewhat blew the game at the end in Game 1, but I see the argument that they played inconsistently to truly deserve the W.  I could be wrong, but I think at +550 they really have a decent chance at winning this.

I also see the the argument that the Hawks barely beat the Bucks, but the Bucks gave them matchup problems in my opinion.  I think the Hawks match up real well against the Magic, and they certainly have a chance at winning the series.

All thoughts and comments welcome.  Let's brainstorm and get make some money.

There is no way hawks can win the series more less cover the spread unless the refs want to take Howard out of the game.  Jazz will win at least one game

you see "extreme value" in the Hawks winning this series?

i can tell you the exact value of a ticket that has the Hawks to win the series... 0 dollars and 0 cents...

Atlanta match-up well with Magic?

Atlanta lost by 17, 32, and 18 points against Magic and needed and at-the-buzzer dunk to beat Magic last time out to cut Magic strong comeback in that game.

Hawks going 7 games against Bucks is a clear indication of what’s going to happen to them.

Hawks have been atrocious on the road when they lose the past two series (against Boston and Cleveland)

I expect a similar result from a superior Magic team.

I'm a Hawks fan and they actually match up quite poorly with the Magic at 2 key positions: PG and C. Horford has gotten better at defending Howard but is still quite overmatched, which forces Pachulia to play increased minutes. Though he is serviceable, he's not in our ideal lineup by any stretch. Bibby is completely overmatched by Jameer Nelson in speed and defensive prowess. Nelson being on the floor will force Johnson and Crawford to do more of the ball handling, which again is not ideal for the Hawks.

My recommendation to you is if you would like to play the Hawks, wait until after Game One. If they lose your price will increase dramatically reducing your overall risk. If they win (which won't happen), you know you're on to something and can feel secure playing them at close to even money with Home Court advantage.

the magic are going to tear the hawks apart and it will be ugly.

Yea... the hawks will have no way of containing Dwight Howard.. they got lucky they matched up with a bogut less bucks last time.

the wont be so lucky with 2nd round without a good center.

pachulia just doesnt cut it.

Thanks for the input.

I did not lay any money on either team.  I would have looked like a complete dope had I put any money on the Hawks series.

I am going to put down on the Jazz +700.  IF and only IF they can get themselves on a roll, they will upset the Lakers.  I still like the fact of winning 700 on a 100 wager - makes things appealing to watch.

The Hawks need to go the hell home tho wow.

Orlando is on a mission, looks like another sweep to me, after watching game 1 if you think the Hawks can win the series you should stop gambling right now. Jazz/Lakers should go just like the Thunder series. Jazz will get both at home and then lose 5 and 6
