low line, yes. could texas cover? yes.

but the linemakers know we all think this is a revenge game and w/o crabtree or harrell it's going to be easy!

not so fast my friends. in my 3 years here at texas we have NEVER beat tech by over 3 scores and we ALWAYS struggle with their D early on. this year, they have a new QB in the same system. the same system that tore apart the texas D last year in that thriller. the texas D is still not so impressive, giving up play after play after play (pass-wise).

i'm not saying texas tech is going to win... but i fully expect them to come fully prepared and ready to play. i have a feeling this game will be high-scoring and very close -- one or two possession game.

beware of this game

texas tech or no play.

Agree on some points but this is a big rivalry, and yes TT knocked Tex out of BCS ratings for the top bowls, and remember it was TT that put hurt on McCoy a few back.
I don't really like either side but can see Tex supporters liking the home team with 16.5.Both are unproven against a quality opponent.
Home field is a big factor in Tex favor this year.
TT bowl game against Minn a couple of years back was the second greatest comeback in history, they scored 42 unanswered points to win the game but not cover the 10 point spread. Minn coach was fired over this game and the spot was offered to TCU coach with a $1 mil raise, TCU imediatly countered with $ 600k and kept him in Ft Worth...point TT is never out of a game and can beat you in seconds,as happened to Texas last year.

tech plays well at home.  with Gameday in town and night game in Austin, tough spot for Tech.  horns also have not shown a lot of looks in first two games, which i expect to change on saturday.

biggest problem for Horns has been o-line so far (despite 4 seniors)....and missing Collins.  not sure Tech is the one to exploit either issue.

defense has played pretty well and our secondary is much better than last year.

Tech has allowed an average 50.8 points their last five games in Austin.

This game screams OVER....Texas has been unimpressive thus far as they have played only slightly better than the level of their opponents.   You are going to see a far different team this Saturday.   Add in the national spotlight.    And something nobody is talking about is the experience factor of McCoy vs. Potts.   McCoy has been there before and I think that is a huge factor in this game.
