The secret to capping Frank Beamer and VT

If Beamer can run the ball VT will cover whatever spread Vegas comes up with. This year with Williams and Wilson in the back field VT is going to run the ball agaist everyone. Throw in those special teams and VT is money.
 
Defence is a giving in Blacksburg, Foster will get those green LB';s in shape for the rest of the season.
 
Marshall has a blitz happy defense watch what Williams and Wilson do to them with just one missed tackle. Bama has the nations best defense and VT was leading that game late in the 4th Q,
 
Forget VT looking ahead to Nebraska, Beamer is too good of a coach, there are only 3 teams with as many wins as VT over the last 10 years, USC and Ohio State.

When teams dominate rushing yards they all do well, VT is not alone in that catagory.

 

I do like VT here, partly because playing Bama prepares a team for a drop in opposition talent. 

 

For me Beamer covers when is team gets points from the defense and special teams.  Those points are usually "spread-busters" that make all the difference.

Beamer puts everything into running the ball. If VT had Tom Brady, Beamer would still only throw the ball 15 times a game.

 

Williams and Wilson will push each other all season long. VT will have a great running game.

 

Beamer hopes Taylor will run more and throw the long ball effectively 2-3 times a game. Williams and Wilson should make it easier for Taylor to do both.

Everyone knows abouy VT special teams. It is factored into the line because of its publicity and not nearly as valuable as it use to be
