SQUARE PLAY PONDERing
When I look at two teams, I see
· FSU: Strong offensive team but very suspect on defense
· UNC: Strong defensive team but questionable on offense
FSU has better athletes and talents but can’t close game. UNC on the
other hands lost the game to VIRG when they are favored by 12 points at
HOME. FSU has a much more difficult schedule losing to MIAMI, SOFLA,
BC, GT where UNC’s highlight is their WIN against UCONN and ECAR.
FSU Remaining Games
Result projection: ? : 10/22/09 @NCAR
Result projection: W : 10/31/09 NCST
Result projection: L : 11/07/09 @CLEM
Result projection: W : 11/14/09 @WFRST
Result projection: W : 11/21/09 MD
Result projection: L : 11/28/09 @FLA
Based on the projection above, FSU could
be ending the season with only 5 WIN and missing out on the BOWL season
entirely if they lose tonight. They are now having a record of 2-4 (one
of those WINs is a meager WIN over JACST which might not be counted for
BOWL consideration). Moreover a lost tonight could be the start of the
avalance. the needle that break the balloon, all dream shatter for the
whole FSU program. There is no guarantee that those kids will be
motivate to WIN anymore GAME if they lose tonight. The entire FSU
coaching staff understand the motivation and important of this game for
their football season. If th... [More]

It has been 11 years since any team started 0-3 and made the playoffs. And since 1990, when the NFL expanded its playoff field to 12 teams, only three teams have survived 0-3 to reach the postseason -- the '92 San Diego Chargers (who were 0-4), the '95 Detroit Lions (back in Barry Sanders' heyday), and the '98 Buffalo Bills.
This week-end, there are (9) 0-2 teams, listed in the order of how I rank them:
Titans, ROAD DOG by (3) against the Jets
Dolphins, , ROAD DOG by (6) against the ChargersPanthers, ROAD DOG by (9) against the CowboysJaguars, ROAD DOG by (3.5) against the TexansBuccaneers, HOME DOG by (6.5) against the GiantsBrowns, ROAD DOG by (13) against the RavensChiefs, ROAD DOG by (?) against the Eagles Lions, HOME DOG by (6.5) against the RedskinRams, HOME DOG by (6.5) against the PackersWhich of these (9) teams would be playing motivated football to avoid the 0-3 catastrophe
Out of the (9), I think:
Three teams (in RED) show some hope are the Titans, Dolphins, and Jaguars. Two teams (in PURPLE) are potential play due to their dreadful opponents and how they have been playing the last two games. They, the Lions and the Panthers, might not win the game and but they might cover the spread.
These are the five DOG plays worth considering. I manot playing them yet, but they are on my list of potential plays.
