Hedging a parlay

Anyone got any strategies on how to hedge against a parlay?

Specifically I got a 4 teamer tonight and already hit the first 2.  The parlay pays 10 to 1.

How do I lock in a win in this scenario?

Here's the way I used to bet MLB.

4 team parlay, all faves, 3 6PM starts and one 9PM or later start

we'll say 100 to win 1000

If I have the first 3 in control I put 1/2 of what I could win on the underdog in the 9PM game, we'll say 500 at +120

I either win 1000 on the parlay minus the 500 dollar dog bet = 500

or

600 on dog bet minus 100 parlay bet = 500

Not a perfect "system" by any means, but I did win a lot of money on MLB every year.

Only bet the first 2 games next time.

Better yet, just stay away from parlays.  Especially if you are looking to hedge after hitting 2 games

You should probably re-check your math next time before showing off your stupidity

a 4 game parlay with all -115 favorites pays a little over 11 to 1

Exactly what I was thinking...He hedges all his 4 teamers...usually after only one win though.  Hopefully he pops in

Wow, thanks for the flaming.  I guess next time I will either use a parlay calculator and put in actual numbers or say FOR EXAMPLE instead of "we'll say."  It was hypothetical numbers to make the math simple.  But thanks for being assholes anyway.  I don't think I was banging my chest or anything but I guess some motherfuckers here just get off on being internet tough guys.

I hope you meant that as singular, not plural.  Only one guy in here was giving you $hit, I was calling him out, not you

I just think you picked a really stupid thing to call him out on. But since you insist on showing your stupidity, consider this parlay based on overnight lines at 5Dimes:

Yankees -1.5 -115

Cleveland  -119

Boston -1.5 -110

Detroit -114

$100 to win $1133

There are many other options that would fit as well.  I am sure on any day with a full card, it really isn't too hard to find.
