With his contract so large, the team that might be interested would have to take on some or all of the contract depending on what the Falcons are willing to take.  According to http://www.mcall.com/sports/all-vicktrade0213,0,6525896.story?track=rss he stands to make $15M in 2009.

Suppose some team says we'll pay 1/4 of it Mr. Blank.  That's $3.75M and Mr. Blank is gonna have to restructure the extra $11M just for this year. 

The remainder of the contract is worth $45.11 million, with another possible $3 million in Pro Bowl bonuses.

What team would be dumb enough to try and sign on this much debt on a player that's gonna have so much negative PR with PETA????

I just don't see it happening.

Anyone got better insight here?

No one is going to trade for a player where they have to assume the current contract when everyone and their family knows the Falcons will release him.

They'll take a huge hit financially if no one takes the trade.  Also, I wonder if they have to pay him if he doesn't play.

 

Big trouble for Arthur Blank.  Of course, he hopes Mike plays again in the NFL.

the NFL is full of players thet have made bad decisions in their career,yet those players suit up on sunday and play football, they do what they were born and better trained to do play professional football at the highest level. hence the fans want to see the best be the best, and mike vick is one of the best, rusty or not Grossman-Bulger-Ryan-Eli-Kittna-Quinn-Romo-Collins-Delhome-the list goes on, could'nt touch mike if he played with one foot. i would take him, and watch as his drive and determination puts my franchise in the NFL playoffs.just look at the bad ass PR Bush recieved and the US still let him steal the white house from Mr. Gore. point being let the man be a man he has paid his debt being locked up. and he doesn't carry concealed weapons.
