Here's one.  Take your rental and drive 329 miles north to the Bay Area.  You'll have a far better time than that dump.

Should you rent a car?  Of course. Dont even come here if you dont have a ride. Our public transportation sucks.

You don't want to be in LA for 4-5 days w/o a car.  There are lots of things to see/do outside of LA

OK Joey.  Here's a few suggestions.  And yes in L.A. a rental is a MUST.  Public transpo sucks and the LA basin is far too vast to cab it.  You'll pay a fortune on fare.

Jerry's Famous Deli in Burbank, lots of Hollywood scouts and producers have lunch there so you'll see all walks of life trying to "look" the part as they hang out waiting to get picked up.  Trust me, you'll be able to tell who's the shot caller and who're the ones trying to get scouted.

Tommy's -  Corner of Rampart and Beverly.  This is the home of L.A.'s cheeseburger.  An LA icon.

3rd Street, in Santa Monica - A closed street with a collection of shops, bars and stuff. Great place to people watch.

Cruise Sunset Blvd -a must.

Manhattan Beach, Malibu - great beaches without the touristy feel.  Lots and lots of tail to see.  Just wear your shades so the mrs won't catch u.  If you can make it down the 405 fwy to the Orange County, head over to Huntington Beach.  THE BEST BEACH IN SOCAL!

I agree with going to Phillipes, Pinks, Tommys, and Manhattan beach. Stay away from 3rd street Promenade and Jerry's Famous Deli.

No pinks or any of that other stupid shit.....maybe Hermosa today because it will be insane.

You really don't need a car. Go grab dinner at STK which is on the same street as SLS (about 1/2 mile). Or if you want to get the best sushi ever take your woman to KOI...once again off La Cienega. Afterwards go to Coco DeVille which once again is off La Cienega....when you go there you'd wish you left your woman at home.

Try KOI before you leave...right across the street from STK. Also tomorrow night is a great night at Coco DeVille. There is a new spot if you are looking for night life that is good tonight calle HWood. If you want something low keytry Stonefire Pizza Kitchen....best pizza in town, cool vibe and right there off La Cienega...just down from STK.

Seeing celebs out here in Cali comes a dime a dozen.  I'm shocked when I don't see a celeb every other day.    Too many spots to visit out here in Cali.   From Hermosa/Manhatten/Venice Beach.   Santa Monica Promanade, Promanade at 3rd and Fairfax,  The Kodiak Center on Hollywood Blvd.   Make sure you cruise Hollywood Blvd & Sunset Blvd.    Other eateries not mentioned above is Jerry Famous Deli in Marina Del Rey,  Ruth's Chris, Mr Chows and of course "In N Out" & Fatburgers fast food joints.   And ohh yeah, the Ocean Park area of Long Beach is awsome.   Tonight I'm hanging out at Magic Johnson's Fridays cause there having a St Patties Day celebration.     Have fun out here gJoey823!!!!!
