I wonder if Butler got the memo that they are supposed to lose?

I see lots of love for the Utep Miners.  Don't get me wrong, I think they are a decent team, and I love Character down low.  However, I am baffled by how quickly everyone is dismissing Butler like they are some sort of shitty team.  Butler beat some good teams this year, and they played a tough nonconference schedule.  Utep's big nonconferemce victory was Oklahoma.  Butler was nothing sort of dominant in conference play.  Utep lost twice to Houston.  Really, Houston???  I am not saying that I think Butler is the play of the day or anything, but I really think people are jumping on Utep's bandwagon way too fast.  Butler has been a solid program for the past decade, and Conference USA flat out blows in my opinion.

Butler went undefeated in conference...also has wins over Ohio St, Xavier, and Northwestern.  Granted Turner was out for OSU when Butler beat them.  Only bad loss was to shitty UAB.  However, Butler was coming off of two huge wins over Xavier and OSU, so it was a classic road game letdown spot.

Utep's best nonconference wins were Oklahoma and New Mexico State.  They also lost to New Mexico State, Texas Tech, and Houston twice.

Utep is the trendy pick and keep this line down...I keep reading that this is a bad matchup for Butler, but I guess we will have to see...

Both Butler and Purdue are being thrown into the wind like they are total garbage...people are going to be in for a rude awakening when they see the intensity and skill these two teams have then they enter the tournament.

Agreed.  Don't forget Vandy as well.  I watched them take Kentucky to the brink, and now people are talking like they got no chance against Murray State.

No one told anyone to shut up, and I really don't know what you mean by this.  It's the NCAA tournament, and people are talking about every game.  I was just pointing out that people are dismissing Butler quite easily.  Do you have any thoughts on this game?

Yes Butler my friends will be one of the great sleepers in this tournament. Butler will send Utep back to the coalmines in this one. Butler has served up a winner here, you rang! Butler wins by 10 to 12 points and sends UTEP back the drawing boards.

Well where ol where are the mighty backers of the Blownup Coal miners here? They went packin' just like that wannabe team! Bad matchup, you were right about that but it was UTEP that was outmatched and outplayed! Butler Butler!
