After the worst weekend in recent memory, I am getting back to my winning ways with a huge night.
Tons of action tonight on the hardwood including some College Hoops and a little NBA action. I have 12 games pegged as winners. Narrowing it down to my top 5 they are as follows:
Top 5 Plays:
1) Wyoming +18.0 , Wyoming is having their best year in school history, a 9-1 start and are 3-2 ATS when on the books. They are playing a very good UCLA team who is 8-1 at home. UCLA however is only 3-5 covering the number at home, due to in large part, publicly likened teams and inflated numbers. Wyoming scores almost 85/game and even UCLA's tough defense won't be able to hold them in check for 40 minutes. Wyoming rebounds the ball so well on the defensive side and I believe can hang with UCLA...... for some time. UCLA wins SU but comes no where close to this number.
2) Hofstra - 4.5 , This game will be decided in one word.. REBOUNDING. Iona cannot match up against the big men of Hostra and will own the glass on both O and D, factor in a better record and homecourt, this one won't be close. Hofstra wins in a blowout.
3) Wisconsin +1.5 , Does anyone realize how good the Badgers are in their house? Yea they are pretty damn good, had a huge streak broken, only to come back this year and bust off their first 8. They are 21-3 in their last 24. Texas is a good team, but so is Wisconsin. I am taking home court and the fact Wisconsin never loses in their house. They win a squeaker.
4) Butler- Xavier Over 127 , Butler averages 9 trays/ game and can shoot the lights out when they want to. Both of these teams average near 70 a game and although they both play pretty stingy D, this is a meaningful game and I predict a high tempo game, especially in the first half which will push this game over. I see a final score of something like 70-66.
5) Phi- Bos Under 194 , 18 in a row? Wow, something has to give right?? Not tonight, not against the 76ers. However, I can see Boston being lulled asleep by a team that simply cannot score on the road. Philly comes into Boston carrying their 30th ranked road scoring up against Boston's 4th ranked home defense. Set your alarm for the 4th quarter, just in time to wake up and see Boston win 92-76.
