working a GOLD MEDAL GAME with Team CANADA. I counted at least 18 penalties on Canada that were not called. Not making excuses just stating the facts.

I liked the ref's in this game. Would you have rathered them call every little penalty? I am sure they "missed" a few USA penalties also.
They let them play unless it was a call that HAD to be made. I hate when ref's get too involved and they end up deciding the winner on some bulls#it penalty. Personally I am glad they "swallowed the whistles" for the most part

and it may have been the usa who wanted the canadian refs, back in 2002 it was the americans who asked for the canadian ref.
