New York vs. Kansas City...

I know the New York media is going to crucify Collins for NOT lifting Matt Harvey after 8.0 scoreless innings, but he was daxned if he did and daxned if he didn’t (i.e. he was in a NO win situation).  Now what they need to crucify Terry Collins for is NOT coming back with one of those starters (either Jacob deGrom or Noah Syndergaard) in a do or die situation…  If I was piloting the ship, I daxn sure would go down with my BEST arms on the bump PERIOD!

At any rate, it has been a GREAT MLB season and I will see all my MLB Covers Brothers NEXT season if the Lord is willing!!!

Scott Skiles...

Scott Skiles is a rock solid coach; therefore, I am shocked he did NOT opt to foul the Thunder up three with less than 8 seconds left on the clock…  He knows better than that!!!

Chicago Cubs - Kris Bryant

Theo Epstein should look to move Kris Bryant this offseason for two to three solid pitching prospects so as to give Maddon a bullpen to work with next year.  I know Bryant was the number one prospect in minor league baseball, but he is never going to hit his “weight” as a third basemen; he just does NOT have a classic “slugger” swing.  In addition, he is extremely mechanical defensively.  Get rid of Bryant, move Javier Báez to third base, Addison Russell at SS and get Kyle Schwarber out of left field and back to his natural position (behind the plate).

Michigan Punter...

I hope that kid’s parents have started filling out his transfer papers as he might come up missing if stays enrolled at Michigan…

NFL Observations!

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4

1.  I stated on the day he was drafted; Chris Ponder is garbage`…  Who ever drafted that kid in the first place should be fired, but whoever decided to draft him in the first round should be taken behind the dome and summarily executed…

2.  You can’t fault Saint Louis for drafting Sam Bradford in the first round as he was the hottest QB in the draft that year; however you can fault Saint Louis for not realizing he sucks and will never put them in position to win a Super Bowl…  Trade him while there is still value please…

I’m NOT telling on anybody…  I’m just saying…
