How can the best be determined 1/2 way through the year??? at least NFL has it right. ya feel me?

A lot of people sit out the pro bowl... especially the superbowl teams...

Can you imagine the NBA all star game with out Dirk, Lebron, D-wade?

As it stands the MLB All Star game is the only one with significance.  The winning team gets home field advantage for their respective league in the World Series.  Nobody cares in the other sports "all star" games and it's a joke.  Also, they play a 162 game regular season schedule in baseball.  A break in the middle of the season is needed.

Ya middle of the yr is a little different than the Pro-Bowl, but at least if gives the guys a break and makes the final 1/2 of the season before mean something for the selections....

Rarely will you see a guy who just tears it up for a couple mo's get rewarded, but if sum1 is a stud from last year and beginning of this year tear shit up, they likely will find a spot...I know Ichiro and others will always make it, but Yao or Merriman can also make squads even tho production isn't truly there....Hey it's for fans to enjoy so stud or fun guy doesn't get to me, it's a bs fun game and fans need to treat it that way. I remember filling out 50 ballot cards w/ Hibbert as the guy from the east, I'm guessing Howard was the better center, but in my area I'd rather see big ROY
