Biggest Covers Pet Peeve!

I know everyone is going to say misspelling lose with loose and other spelling and grammer errors.  But that isn't even my biggest pet peeve because you know what if a man is a good capper and gives good reasons I could give two $hits about his spelling or grammer.  My biggest pet peeve is without a doubt someone who decides to give their viewpoint of a side or total without any real evidence.

This is what I mean.  I know most of us use trends, stats, and a variety of other angles but if you have a great trend/stat/angle it is great when people post it because it can lead to a more well reasoned and informed betting decision.

However, how many times do you see a homer come on to your thread or someone elses and say this (1) team X is due, (2) team Y is bad, (3) team Z is good, (4) the game is already fixed, (5) don't bet against team X ever, or even my favorite (6) or or .

Serously I think that if members on covers cannot contribute then perhaps they should just be banned.  Am I wrong for thinking this?  Does anyone else get annoyed by this?

It seems like whenever I get on this website anymore I have to shit through tons of dead and worthless threads to get to the informative ones.  Just seems like a waste of time sometimes.  Well if nothing else I can get this off my chest and BOL to everyone today!

even though i do this sometimes, "the public is all over team x." wtf does that even mean, that has nothing to do with who's gonna win the game.

I'm usually the first to say he public isn't always wrong in those instances, skimordie, but I will also say they are wrong more often then not in the long run. I think it a waste as well to offer a side or total without even one perice of backing evidence to support your claim. Not sure what those that post just their play think they are doing for this forum. Who cares who they are taking if they can't share the thought process..unless they are going to share a percentage of their winnings with me! It's likely just an ego boost when they post a play and come back toasting and boasting their "great (lucky) call".

Fixing my garmmer and spelling for "ya'll" English majors...heh heh!

Not sure what those that post only their play, with not one line or a narrative capping, think they are contributing to this forum. i couldnt agree more. I see so many people on here that just get a hunch and bet a bunch without any edge or true thought. and they wonder why they lose.. If you flip a coin laying 110 to win 100, eventually you will lose, and this site is full of coin flippers

I think about this when making my picks, might even be the reason I've taken so long to come on board and start posting. However, I put a lot of time and effort into my plays, and have enough trouble getting them in time to even try and offer insight. I strive to be better in this aspect, but besides betting early offshore, I make a lot of moves just before kickoff. I can only say that if I took the time to type it all down, I could never do my homework.

Trying to do better...
