NYG... I just don't see it...

I just don't see how NE is not the play.  I get that NYG have been playing good ball (Eli in particular) since November but that was already adjusted in the line.  I don't see how NYG will be able to stop the NE passing attack, NE defense has also been much improved the past month or so and I always ask myself in every football game which QB I would rather have (Brady over Eli anytime even though I admit that Ellie has been better of late) and head coach (BB over TC any time).  I am going to have to see a lot of a damn good reasons to change my opinion and I hope the line keeps moving in NE favor.

No matter what you all play BOL and lets hope for a good Superbowl.  By the way I have taken the underdog in every Superbowl the past five years.

i just don't see how new england will keep eli and and the giants under 30 in this game...the pats have no pass rush and if they're forced to send extra i think eli and his trio of good wideouts will have a field day...giants 34-30...

Giants D cant stop NE offense? Giants D is giving up 13 points a game in their 5 game winning streak. NE defense is horrible, yes better over last two games but that was against two inept offenses. Think Giants D will make a few stops, question is can NE stop the Giants from scoring 30-40 points? Is Julian Edelman really gonna stop Cruz? No way.

The Patriots are on a heater because you don't win 10 games in a row by accident. People seem to forget that Brady had his worst playoff game ever against the Ravens and they still won. The Giants barley made the playoffs this year, and if thier so good than why not play at a high level all year? The Pats have redemption in mind against the Giants, and that Pats Defense has 14 sacks in the last 5 games, so if people are gonna write off the pass rush than thier sadley mistaken. Brady doesnt lose to the same team 3 times in a row, and you can be sure he will have the game of his life to redeem himself from the last game.

I always find it funny when people say things like they "needed a dropped pass and missed chip shot fg" because isn't that football? It is who executes their plays. We could sit here all day and play the "if" game. If Tom Brady hit a wide open Gronk in the first half they would have been up 10? If the Ravens take a timeout they probably hit a field goal. If FredTheGodson was the quarterback for the Patriots they would have lost. If the Ravens scored more points they would have won. We could play the "if" game with the Pats versus Giants Super Bowl four years ago, but when push comes to shove the Giants executed their plays at the end of the game.

Just to throw a some numbers out there.. maybe they matter..maybe not. But New Englands Schedule was cake compared to the Giants. New England played only 2 teams this season with a winning record AND they were 0-2 in those games. Just food for thought.

A Missed FG is all I hear....Isn't that how the Giants won a Super Bowl?

Patriots on the ML

Vegas is going to host the biggest robbery in sports history with all you Giant Fans.

Giants will stop Brady a few times with pressure. Pats will not stop Giants from scoring.

i think brady will bounce back with a good game...that said , i think eli and company will light up this pats defense...wouldn't be surprised if they hit 70 + in this one...

The assessment on the Giants is justified, a warm up home WIN against the Falcons, followed by road wins against GB and SF are enough to give the GIANTS the edge, two very good QB's two very good head coaches, this one is going down to the wire...

New England Patriots 31 | NY Giants 34 (65)

Ever heard of injuries? Emerging players? Chemistry? Packers barely made the playoffs last year, but I guess they weren't good enough to win the SB or clinch the 1 see the following... oh wait. You get my point.

I think Vegas new exactly what they were doing when they started the line at NE-3.5. Isn't the point of the spread to split the betting? But Wait! Everyone and his brother jumped on the Giants. Now with the line down to NE-2.5, you can catch the ultimate middle if NE wins by 3, which just happens to be the margin NE's previous 3 super bowl wins. Sure looks like the boys on the strip screwed up doesn't it? Hmm??? Anyone else thinks NE wins by a least a touchdown and the books clean up?

i got giants ML but really just want to see a good game. arguements on both side are compelling. its hard to bet against brady(everytime i do i lose) but it is also hard to bet against the hot giants. taking the giants because advantage of defense. gl to all

Sharmuta, 'Vegas' doesn't win anything, last time I checked the Pats where -3.5 and the public play as favorite's. meaning; you have your assessment 'backwards' the book is based on balance, and juice for profit, the outcome plays a very marginal role to profit, and remember, Vegas's bread and butter is the numerous parlays connected to the matchup...

enjoy the Super Bowl

Sorry but if you don't think the outcome plays a large role in a bookmakers profits you clearly have never been on the other side. Yes, everything you read will tell you that 50/50 is great and what you want on straight takes, but 60/40 or even 70/30 with a favorable outcome in their favor is extremely desirable for a reason you have already given, parlays. One thing you have to remember, the people making the lines are not limited to number crunchers, there job is to divide the public, but it is also not realistic to assume you will get 50/50 on both sides. In turn the oddsmakers, who btw are for the majority ex gamblers who have done well against casinos and now are working with them, need to maximize profits for casinos. Since the Super Bowl brings in the most public money, its safe to say that with the 5% on all straight bets, as well as teasers and parlays on both sides, and the majority of professionals that have the right side, there is plenty room for a small gamble. Although casinos are not into "gambling" their money, they are still a business and are always looking to gain an extra edge.

Agreed. The Moon will be in Leo,Brady's sun sign. He'll go to town.Pats' secondary will not be dropping those interceptions as did the 49'ers.Their receivers will not be dropping those passes as did the Packers.NE,38-10.

The original post is dead on. Brady, Belichek, revenge, need I say more? My top play is the under. I think Vegas is going to rob the public blind. Last game was 17-14. NYG defense is good, Pats defense is improved bend don't break style, and Pats offense(receivers mainly) is banged up. There will be scoring. I got the Pats -3 but huge bet on under 55.5pts. Don't lose your arse on the over and giants. Pats 27 Giants 20 GL ALL

-NYG "D" has been way more battle tested. Big time.(check it out)

-NYG peeking like GB last year just at the right time. And its not how you start, its how U finish

-Eli still feels he has to prove his eliteness in the league. And he wil shred NE's vanilla "D".

-Brady is a Hall of Famer, but he isn't palyin' Brady "in his prime" ball. Don't be scared by his

mistique. Reality is he looked like shit in his last game. (NYG "D" isn't Balt but it isn't that far

away)

****** I'm taking the G-MEN on the ML & gonna coast after 10 minute in****** BOL all.

Brady and Belicheck can lock themselves in as the best ever with a win here. I think that is a factor.

FADE THE PUBLIC......VEGAS LOST BIG ON SUPERBOWL LAST YEAR. IT WONT HAPPEN 2 YEARS IN A ROW. EXAMPLE PUBLIC LOVED LSU AND BAMA KILLED THEM! PUBLIC LOVES GIANTS AND PATS WILL WIN AND COVER. FROM TEDDYS WRITE UP ON EXPERTS PAGE....... In the Belichick-Brady era, the Pats are 43-13 SU, 36-17-3 ATS when avenging a loss, including an 18-3 SU, 16-4-1 ATS mark when playoff off three or more wins in a row. Clearly, this team makes good adjustments and uses their extra time to prepare wisely.
BronxMush says:

I believe the Pats are the play!! Keep this in mind. The Giants played 1 dimensional offenses that were RUN HEAVY during their 5 game playoff drive with the exception to Greenbay who was coming off the bye that really DOES NOT benefit teams. Remember those teams were the Jets w/ Sanchez horrible, Dallas w/ Romo.. nuff said, Atlanta w/ Ryan.. cant win in playoffs, 49ers w/ Smith.. not a threatening QB.

I am a BIG Patriots fan, however I don't see how they can beat the Giants with their poor pass rush. Also their secondary is very suspect. I hate to say it but Eli should have a great day. He will have more time than he had with the Packers and the 49'rs. The Giants should be favored in this game.

Damn wish I would have went with the under instead... LOL! Congrats NYG backers. NEP only covered the 3 for what 5 minutes of the game so clearly I was on the wrong side. BOL next year to all!
