I started this off as a response to thatsagoodone plays, but it got long so I decided to start a new topic.

New Jersey has had a nice break to think about the loss to Washington at home, and you would think they would come to play tonight with the break.  I know this isn't the same team last year, but I was on the wrong side of a play last year very similiar to this game last year, and I thought Nets would bounce back.  Here was the stretch

Sorry for the formatting,

Successful road trip.  They came home lost to a scrub team then played a tired team after a few days rest and you would think they would dominate them, but they lost in OT.  Kind of funny to see similiar line trends this year.

I will wait for before tip to make this play, but I am hoping to see +7 or +7.5.   Crazy similiar strechtes, but even crazier if the Nets win by two in OT and don't cover...

I don't think your crazy at all.  When Devin Harris isn't going psycho and dropping 45 pts. a game the Nets are just another bottom-feeder.  I'd probably take the points here.

Could just be a coincidence. It was philly last year. Not Minnesota.

IMO The nets will punish the timberwolves tonight..

"It's not a 'must'

win. It's just we need to win," said Vince Carter, who following the

sleepwalk against Washington claimed the next team - i.e. Minnesota -

would "have to pay" for the Nets' ineptness.

"We're trying to establish ourselves and we're good enough to where, if we play like that, we can bounce back," Carter said.

Carter

included himself for the failure that was a major letdown from the

giddiness of a 3-1 trip. So there was anticipation that the Nets could

continue the good times roll at home.

Well, they broke 85 points.

But Washington broke 105. So Carter said wait until next game. Coach

Lawrence Frank, seeking a reverse of the home woes (3-5) that plague

his 6-3 road team, said he was glad to hear Carter's challenge.

"You

always like when guys take ownership and want to be accountable. To be

a team, you play for each other. You need your best players to take

ownership, but there has to be collective responsibility, and it's more

the fact of how we need to play in order to win," Frank said. "We

succumbed." "

Game time research is key! Glad we were on the right side.
