Its simple 1999 last championship unfortunately your judged for what you've done lately. The past is gone the future is unknown and your responsible for today! No doubt what he HAS done in past speaks high volumebut look in the state of Florida new coach Meyer new championship even Miami won a few yrs past. The last 10yrs is a disgrace under FSU standards who's fault is it a 18 yr old Freshman a 19 yr old sophmore? you cant blame teenagers the blame goes to your fearless leader. The tv analysts have been commenting every week this yr how you can run around corners on FSU when in yrs past never. Look at the NFL players they use to produce now u get 1 if your lucky. Mickey Anrews had that defense great for 20yrs this is the 1st yr he got blasted is his fault for failling offenses the last 10yrs. Everyone is replaceable even the president they change. The bottom line college football is big money for universities and even bigger when you win its one of the bissest revenues they make FSU fans started not showing up in the stands for the 1st time in 20yrs in todays world you can't afford that to happen.

Nobody has mentioned one thing.   MONEY........

I went to the last game of the year, and we only had 50,000 fans in the stands, when we usually have 80,000.  Also Booster contributions were falling.  We could not afford to keep him any longer.  Time for him to go!!!!

All of you FSU fans better not get your hopes up to high with Jimbo Fisher. Sometimes you get what you ask for because what you are asking for might not be as good as what you had.

he has been paid well for his services...

yes he built the FSU program... he is currently destroying it.. cannot continue to pay millions to someone obviously heading in the wrong direction.  Get rid of him while there is something left of what he built

two things you can't be in this country    old & sick  either one will make you lose your job especially in sports. As for jopa he donated buildings and has a life time contract. It's tuff to close chapters of your life, in bowdens case he has nothing else to do.

yeah, lets leave him there to get 400 victories. Who cares if they keep putting that program deeper into the hole?

Thats ridiculous.

But Jimbo's not the answer either. They shouldnt have promised him the job. Was he that great? He deserves some negative credit for whats happened at FSU the past few years. I won't let Bobby take all the blame.

Maybe we should let him coach and ruin some oyther great talents. If fact, he deserves to coach until they go winless and he is 100.

If you heard him on talk radio down here you would understand. Not just 3 weeks ago, he declared,

"I will decide who the Defensive Cooridnator is going to be. I will decide when to leave, and I dont want a Victory tour. Plus What would I do if I did not have Football. I dont know how to retire, What would I do"

Then this past week he resigned to "Just one more Year"

Face it : He did not know how to leave, what he would do without football. He is affraid of leaving, retiring, and having another life. He spent so many years wrapped up in football. He forgot how to live another life.

With those fears he was willing to take the Program, his family, many players, and the entire team down with him at any cost. because he can't process fully at his age. He has gotten to the point were he does not know how bad it was hurting everyone around him. And everyone was affraid to tell him.

They just put smiles on their faces and said yes Bobby to everything.  With their Talent they should have easily won 10 games the last 3 years. Lack of True leadership has killed them. We have become a Nations of Pusses, affraid to speak our minds.

It is a Shame FSU allowed it to go on this long. It has ruined many promising young stars that could have went pro. But the lack of a leader has taught these young men nothing. All in the Great name of "BOWDEN"

Bowden was great for FSU and college football.  He should have had the dignity to go out on top.  He's no longer able to recruit top talent, even in his own state.  The hiring of Jeff Bowden was the beginning of the end.

I will take another tack:  I have been calling for him to be fired for ten years, to no avail.  I don't like him and never liked his nepotism.  He could not find a kicker for years and missed many winners and championships by having "wide right" kickers.   He may have been great for the school at one time but is no more.  Glad they let him go.  I want Joe Paterno out, too (and I am approaching their age).  Go play with your grandchildren and great-grandchildren, men.
