Lakers lock up Pau

By sigining Pau Gasol to a 3-year extention for a cool $57 million thru the 2013-2014 season the Lakers have assured that this team will be title contenders for the foreseeable furure. Gasol the most multi skilled big man in the game has been the perfect fit for the triangle offense and a tremendous compliment to "Player of the Decade" Kobe Bryant. Gasol's ability to score with both hands inside and his post passing out of double-teams make him a great 2nd option to Kobe. Pau's also a solid defender and an outstanding rebounder and has great basketball instincts a must to be successful in Phil Jackson system. His value is easily measured by wins and losses the Lakers are 15-1 since he returned to the line-up after missing 11 games with a hamstring injury. Gasol has been with the Lakers since being traded for in Feb. of 2008 ( a steal from Memphis) and LA has been to 2 NBA Finals winning the title last year. Value cofirmed.

Gasol puts up consistant numbers you can mark him down for a double, double most games and has shed the soft label he once wore. With Lamar Odom, Ron Artest and Andrew Bynum all signing extentions within the last year that means this core group will be together for a while along with Bryant who looks like he's close to signing a 3year $80 million extention. It's "All Good" Laker land which means trouble for the rest of the association.
