USCs QB Mitch Mustain - What is it With This Guy?

I believe he was HS Player of the Year in Arkansas.
 
Considered to be the savior of the Razorback football program.
 
Was 8-0 as a freshman at Arky
 
Then, with coaching change transferred to USC.  Guess he figured a high-profile program like that would be a good prep for his desired pro career.
 
Now, he's third string.  Probable starter Aaron Corp has a leg injury, and his backup is a redshirt frosh, who may get the start vs SJ State.
 
Mustain? The hot kid from Arkansas?  Third string. The RS Fr will start ahead of him.
 
What happened there?

Uh, he can't get passed page five of USC's pro style offense's playbook! And if you cant do that you cant play....no matter how talented you are.....Look at Vince Young and what happened when he got to NFL and couldnt get passed page 2...

Barkley, Aaron Corp's backup, Is a true Frosh. I believe he was a pretty big time recruit. And if Mitch can't understand the playbook after 2 years, a football playbook, he should quit right now. Not hating, just sayin

Often times, most kids in high school are so overrated due to media hype and recruiting services which are not very accurate at all. Besides, Mitch played in a "Mickey Mouse" spread offense in high school and his freshman year at Arkansas which does not translate well in USC pro style offense.

When Bustain came to SC, all SC fans scratched their heads. He does not fit the mold. R Kansasssss offensive playbooks are written in crayon, SC playbooks are written in Gold. Barkleys upbringing at Mater D. was basically PAC 10 prep.
