Time for another edition of my game of the Month for College Football.
Tonight #5 Ole Miss rolls into South Carolina for what looks to me a potential ambush.
Ole Miss simply hasn't done anything at all this year to impress me. In fact, even their win against Memphis 45-14, included 3 TD's that occurred in the final 6 minutes of the 4th quarter after Memphis imploded. In that game, against a porous Memphis Pass Defense, Ole Miss managed to only complete 12 of 22 pass attempts in the game. Miss QB Jevon Sneed looked completely rattled in the first half of the game unable to do anything against Memphis in the passing attack. In fact, 2 of the last 3 OLE MISS garbage TD's in the game were passes by Snead (BTW, these were his only two TD passes of the game).
Ole Miss follow up game at HOME against SE Louisiana State was hardly a prize a SE LA turned the Ball over 5 times in the game (one int going for a 58 yard TD in the final minutes of the game.)
South Carolina on the other hand has played some real D1 football to date facing the likes of Georgia on the road a heartbreaking 4 point loss and beating an NC State team I believe is a real sleeper (ATS wise) in the SEC this year. NC State only managed 59 rushing yards on 31 attempts against the SC defense.
On offense the Game Cocks can mix it up posting over 400 yards of offense at Georgia (113 on the ground and over 300 in the air.).
The wrong team is favored tonight. South Caroli...
