wow, looks like we have a few value plays this week. I like Reuti @ +4500 (finish 3rd or 4th here last time and has run awesome on flat tracks this year) JR @ +3200, (running the same car as last week, car was solid at Indy), vickers +2700, (always runs good here, should have won here a few times)

Can't go wrong with Kahne +1600, Edwards +1100 or Hamlin @ +875. Definately playing the 1st 3 value plays I listed and probably someone from here also, with that said, watch Tony will win this again.

First off, I'm with you Clepto (WTF)

Early lean on Carl Edwards. He's been getting better each week and even last weeks finish was pretty good considering he started 40th. With a win and Top 10 in 2008 and a 2nd this year here, this could be the place he cracks a win. +1150 can only go down

Gotta pass on Vickers with 4 outta the last 5 at Pocono 21st or worse. I like him better at Daytone and Dega

With only 2 of us left, I have Newman and they have Vicker's this week in the Survivor Pool. Any thought's on a Top 20 outta Newman?

Just can't play a +550 favorite.

As I look down the board I see a little value with Edwards at +1150

Also like Hamlin here but his mojo has sucked lately..... but if there was ever a place for him to get it turned around this would be it. Still not a ton of value imo at +875 for a guy that has been struggling.

Tough loss for all the JPM backers last week...... Could he possibly be a sleeper here at +2650? Hmmmmmmmmm.

Googles, don't split it....Newman loves Pocono and Im sure he took some pointers from the ol Bossman who just happened to win it last time..

I agree Tree. If nothing happens to Newman he should secure a top 20. problem being Pocono has been about fuel mileage and that could be the one factor that stirs the pot. BUT, if he runs well and does like the track.

Montoya finished 8th here last time around which was by far his best finish there ever. He is running well should be good again. I just know between, Edwards, Martin, Johnson, Stewart and Gordon you are looking at your race winner bewteen them.

My prediction at the beginning of the year was he was going to get his first Pocono win. As stated he has never won but he also has the most top 10's and 5's (I beleive the later is corerct as well) than anyone and he likes this track. Mark feels he lost that one for the team last weekend so he makes it up to them this weekend or Monday

Two good matchups that i researched:

Kahne over Biffle -115

Newman over Biffle -115

Both drivers are starting in front of Biffle, have better career numbers than Biffle, and were faster in happy hour. You can't get much better than that for -115.

Biffle was good here in June and ran top 4 last weekend at Indy. I think your Kahne pick is solid but Newman is hit or miss here.

I won't make both bets, in case Biffle gets a top 5. I'll probably make the Kahne bet because Newman is a little shaky. You know Stewert keeps the best equipment to himself, so I'm always afraid to pick Newman.

factor in this race if it gets started only goes half way there are going to be a lot of gambles though i would say the ones who start up front can benefit. My gut says the cats who can afford to gamble because they are solidly in the chase are going to be the ones to watch. GL here
