Sorry I am late to the party gents.  Thanks for all the birthday wished yesterday, do appreciate it.  Didn't partake in any later action.  Just the 4 wager slate, split on action and lost a few units due to a gutless, heartless performance by the Dallas Mavericks.  Mark Cuban needs to inject some life into that deflated unit.  Look for one of their big men Ajinca or Mahinmi to be dealt at the deadline along with a few other players plastered on that Dallas bench.  Warriors, Rockets and Raptor all came through yesterday.  It was interesting watching John Wall and Deron Williams go at it, there was a lot of hand-checking in that game, it was a gritty battle between two guards It think will have great games against each other in the future.

Short 2 game slate tonight but I like both games and have various wagers.  Still keeping unit action minimal until I find something I really like on a larger slate of games.  As always gents, I wish you the best of luck with your wagers.  Peace out - - - MAK

CHARLOTTE BOBCATS @ CHICAGO BULLS

PICK: CHARLOTTE + 8.0 (-110) - - - 3 UNITS

Right now D.Rose is in the top 3 in Mak's MVP list.  He is an absolute stallion.  He looks like Usain Bolt with a basketball in his hand.  His lightning quickness is complimented with his ball handling skill and court vision.  He is my favorite point guard to watch in the NBA along with Westbrook.  He is a new breed of point guard and will be one of the best leaders at the one this game has ever seen in about 5 years.  In my season preview of the Bulls I called for Rose to have a breakout MVP type season and this kid is proving to be as good if not better than I ever imagined...so why am I putting money against him?  Size.  You can't teach size baby.  Without Boozer the Chicago Bulls boast a very versatile, long front-court....but not much size.  Kurt Thomas continues to move 5 men out of the way, he boxes out and does what is needed.  But Kwame Brown is starting to show why the greatest this game has ever soon chose him #1...and continued to have trust in him signing him to a contract with the Cats.  Kwame coming off a massive double-double will have the confidence and agility to beat the old vet down low for some loose balls.  Taj Gibson is a stud, off a 6-block performance, his hops at the 4 position are impeccable.  But against Diaw coming off a triple-double, his leaping ability won't come into play, neither will his timing.  Diaw finds other ways to be productive for this Cats team.  Gerald Wallace cause so many problems for wings.  Ask Young, Turner and Iggy who Gerald owned all night long.  Deng being the 2nd scorer on this team without Boozer, will not be able to get his offense off against Crash Bandicoot.  Tyrus Thomas returns from suspension, he has been playing some great basketball for Paul Silas.  With the return of Nazzy on that second unit as well....the Cats are just too big for the Bulls without Noah and Boozer.  Asik will get killed down low all game, Korver will not be able to get anything on Gerald and Jackson off a horrific shooting night should force the issue and get some offensive production for his squad.  Cats keep it close.

ATLANTA HAWKS @ MIAMI HEAT

PICK: MIAMI HEAT - 5.0 (-115) - - - 1 UNIT
PICK: DWAYNE WADE OVER 25.5 POINTS (-150) - - - 1 UNIT
PICK: LEBRON JAMES OVER 27.5 POINTS (+135) - - - 1 UNIT

Of course he will play, Lebron is an idiot.  He doesn't want to sit out until Saturday (which is the Heat's next game) no no no....that would actually be intelligent.  He will want to play along side his good buddy Dwayne for the first time ever.  They do their post game interviews together, they ride tandem bikes along south beach with helmets.  They hold hands in private.  Lebron loves his good buddy and will be exited to play alongside just him.  No Bosh.....no problem.  Insert Joel Anthony....a much better weak side defender than Chris....a much better post defender than Chris.  Bosh's mid range shooting ability will hurt the spacing of the Heat tonight, but the numerous role players who got a chance to get in some game time will help.  Mike Miller, Mario, James and even Eddie may see a little time and contribute offensively.  Atlanta coming off a hard back to back game where the big three (Smooth, Double J and Big Al) all played massive minutes.  This games screams domination from the two best fast-break wings in the NBA, Ringo Star and John Lennon get err done in South Beach tonight.
