I like this game for so many reasons, very good spot for Illinois.
Illinois has beaten Ohio State and Michigan State at home this year and gave Wisconsin a run for their money (67-63).
The only other loss at home comes from Northwestern after coming off that huge win vs Michigan State.
Illinois has dropped their last 3, failing to cover the spread in all 3, and are coming off 2 tough road games against Indiana and Michigan. Very tough venues to escape with a win.
Now they have Purdue at home after difficult and frustrating road games, and a 3 game losing streak, similar to the one they had before they beat Michigan State at home 42-41.
Illinois is at Nebraska, so no real look ahead here, but if they do pull off the win tomorrow look to fade them vs. Nebraska after their stock rises and have OSU on deck. But I'm getting ahead of myself.
Illinois lost @ Purdue earlier this season 75-60. Illinois is historically a terrible road team, but they are a completely different team in Assembly Hall and believe me the house is going to be rocking.
Did I mention Purdue has Michigan State on deck?
