NBA Finals is FINALLY here!

I have been contemplating this matchup a lot over the last few days and yes the magic are a great basketball team with arguably the best center in the league but one man is not gonna win this series. Its the fucking NBA FINALS in Los Angeles under the bright lights of the Staples Center.
The supporting cast for dwight howard has been spectacular so far in the playoffs but there is barely any finals experience on this team and they are young...unlike the celtics last year.
The main thing that worries me about the lakeshow is the inconsistency which has been present all season long but I believe the team has finally overcome it after defeating denver. Hopefully Pau will be more aggressive on the defensive end and this team will realize what is up for grabs. The Magic have been living by the 3 ball but I am just not comfortable wagering on a team like that.

Which team would win if their respective superstars both injured and out for the rest of the series?

Everyone is overlooking the Magic's highest paid player—Rashard.  He got the size and speed to deal with Paula Gasol and Odom, plus he keeps Lakers defenses honest because of his 3pt shooting ability.  Even Turkoglu can drive now.  Magic with the points!

all lewis does is set up and take three pointers.. he does not drive to the hoop as much as he should.

without the presence of D12 on the floor.. orlando is pretty much dead in this series IMO and who knows if/when he will get into foul trouble.

has anyone seen the commercial for espn magazine with jameer nelson talking about being down by one is LA taking the last second shot?

Lakers think they've got this in the bag just like they did last year and just like Lebron thought against the Magic......

 

Magic coming in with nothing to lose....Pressure is all on Lakers to play some D like they couldn't play last year......

 

This series is a toss-up and I'll pick LA in 7.....but giving up 6 in game 1 is too much.....Magic could easily win Game 1.....

 

Look out for Michael Pietrus.....

Hey NBA  nice write up today, 

I am leaning with orlando here 
LA has not won game one in the last 2 series and the magic are as hot or hotter than Denver was.

It all will boil down to the officials and how they call Howard
If he gets into foul trouble early the Lakers are in good shape.
If not, they can cover this - Houston and Denver did

Orlando has my respect ATS after practially sweeping Cleveland
if werent for one very lucky 3 pointer

but even gasol said that this team is extremely hard to prepare for as they are unconventional and something you dont see much

Superdwight/foul trouble

Lakers take right at Dwight tonight,

he'll need this game 1 to get adjusted.

Cavalier inside game, no where near that of "The Show".

NBA, I hope you're only taking LA because they're home tonight or are you still thinking Orlando is over hyped? Do you remember our conversation before the playoffs? Orlando's bench is under-rated (even though they came out all year) and if both teams' superstars went down, that's huge in Orlando's favor. Gortat is arguably the best backup center in the league that will be starting somewhere else next year.
