3 Games look excellent here.
A Madrid v Real Betis
A Madrid are bombing in goals. They have a 100% record at home. The start games fast and score a lot of 1st half goals.
They are second only to Barcelona in over 1.5 first half goals percentage at home with 72% or 8 of 11 games (over 1.5 goals).
Over 1.5 first half goals is 6/4 great price
Man City v Liverpool.
City have to win, to kept touch with United. They will come to play today (have to start with a 442 formation). Liverpool to get hammered, similar to the 2nd half in the Liverpool /Arsenal game.
Man City Home win 1.9 great price. All the goal bets will also be good here. BTTS and over 2.5 goals.
Pescara v Bologna.
These are low scoring teams. Go against the BTTS bet here and choose NO to btts . Pescara lead SerieA in NO to BTTS percentage at 73% of their home games. odds are 1.92
see these BTTS stats here with our BTTS heat chart
Three statistically probable, reasonably high priced bets .

Villa v Newcastle
Villa are in freefall. Relegation stuff. They have scored 1 home goal in 5 games. no BTTS here 11/10
Stoke v Wigan
A perfect match-up for Stoke against a Wigan team that is not big on defence. Home win 6/5
Sunderland v Swansea
1/2 time 0-0 draw. Swansea have drawn 7 of their last 8 away games at the half 0-0. Half time exact score 0-0 is 7/4

Mallorca are on a terrible run away from home. Lost 3 of their last 4 games and have shipped goals.
Espanyol to win it
Schalke are essentially the third best team in the bundesleague (behind Bayern and Dortmund). Comfortable win for them here.
Double of Schalke and Espanyol gives 2.2 to 1 which is a nice way to start the weekend.
Check out another 8 picks here
have a great winning weekend.

Norwich v Newcastle.
Norwich to return to winning ways against a terrible road team. Small squads (norwich) battle with 3 games in 9 days over Christmas and New Year. They have had a weeks rest, after two very tough games against Chelsea and Man City. Newcastle stink on the road, losing 6 and drawing 4 of 10 games.
Home win here.
Aston Villa v Saints.
Villa are showing relegation form at home. This is a massive game, and Saints have the mettle to win it. Also getting great odds for the away win at 2.8. Saints other big game this season was against QPR away (another 6 pointer). They won that one 3-1. Villa are in free fall ....
Reading v WBA.
Have been doing lot of research looking at which range of starting match odds (home and away) produces both teams to score results (BTTS). This season, in the range there have been 11 games in the PL. 9 times they have produced btts. These odds fall right in the range and I'll run with the stats here.
Everton v Swansea.
Everton were very unlucky to lose to Chelsea two weeks ago. Played them off the park, and should have been 2 nil up. Chelsea, 2 chances 2 goals... 1st one before half time was an absolute sucker punch. No Michu for Swansea = game over = a bridge to far.
Easy everton win here at 1.72

1) WBA v Fulham
WBA are a very decent home team. At the moment Fulham are in the middle of a major speed wooble. They are not doing anything well. WBA comfortable winners here 1.95
2) Tottenham v Reading.
For whatever reason SPURS are a 2nd half team at home. They are slow starters and get better. Reading are a reasonable 1st half team on the road but are terrible 2nd half. They have lost 9 of 10 second halves on the road, scoring 1 goal and conceding 14. Spurs to win 2nd 45 is 1.66
3) Wigan v Man U
A fresh van Persie awaits Wigan. Maybe Fergie plays hernadez and van Persie up-front in a 4 4 2. Hopefully he does not start Scholes and Giggs. Kagawa , Carrick and Cleverly , Young would be my choice. United with too much fire-power and should win easily. WIgan have conceded 2 goals ina a home game 8 times in 10 this season.
4) Saints v Arsenal.
Expect goals galore in this game. Both are scoring, and Arsenal are bang in form. Is Theo Walcott another Terry Henry (converted winger turned centre forward). Arsenal to win it but will probably conced to The Ricky Lambert threat at a set play.
Over 2.5 goals 1.67

Lets look at a few stats here.
QPR are a stinker of a team at home in the 1st half. They have not won a 1st 45 minutes of soccer at home in 9 games. They have drawn 4 and lost 5.Reading are the next worst winning 1 in 9.They have the worst goal production in the 1st 45 minutes (2 goals in 9 matches). They also own the record for the worst 1st half home goal differential of -7 . Only Swansea and Reading have conceded more 1st half goals.
2nd half at home QPR are competitive. They have won 3 and drawn 5 2nd halves.
So they KEY is for them to be up and ready for the 1st half. They have to eradicate the slow starts. Liverpool have kept 1 clean sheet away from home this season.
Last three games away they have shipped goals. Maybe that's a consequence of seeking goals.
A little too attacking and space left at the back.
They have failed to score twice in 9 away games. I would expect them to score here.
QPR have been leaking goals. 1 clean sheet in 9 games , failed to score twice in 9 games.
Be tight, keep it compact and don't concede.
The longer the game remains close, the more pressure Liverpool will feel. Both teams need the win like oxygen.
Both teams are under pressure to produce a win.
A draw is completely unsatisfactory for both
Both teams to score is about 1.69 which is a fair price

Best bet for Saturday afternoon , EPL is stoke to beat SouthamptonWorst odds of 1.83 for the home win.
Was watching a rerun of the Stoke v Liverpool game last night. Just the 2nd half.
They did many things really well.
Work rate from Stoke was amazing.
Pressed Liverpool deep and never let them build.
Counter attack was excellent. Win ball-quick pass onto a nimble fast runner.
Defensive structure was near perfect for 40 minutes. Never lost their shape. Could see a 4 4 2 structure as plain as day.
No ball watching, or standing still. Pass and move or pick up an attacker.
Other bets that look excellent....
Arsenal v Newcastle BTTS (both teams to score) 1.75
Sunderland v Tottenham (more 2nd half goals) 21/20

and three match writeups here
Good luck for the weekend

Who are they ... ?
This is a team that's won 7 of 7 away.
Their average away price has been 3.95
Last week they beat their main league rivals away
They are big favourites this weekend.
Netherlands Eredivsie : Vitesse Arnhem
I like VVV Venlo to get beaten easily by Vitesse Arnhem. Arnhem have it all going for them . 7 out of 7 away win, playing great, fully of confidence, scoring goals. They have conceded 2 goals in 7 away games, which is out of this world.
Away win is 1.63 which is a steal....

Everton v Tottenham BTTS (1.67)
Two evenly matched teams that are scoring goals and not defending fantastically well. Everton have scored in every home game this season and Spurs have scored in every away game this season with 1 clean sheet.
Frankfurt v Werder Bremen BTTS
BTTS . Both teams have a perfect record in BTTS . Franfurt 8 out of 8 at home , Brremen the same away from home.
West Ham v Liverpool
HT and FT draw you get 5.5 -1

The Osansuna v Vallecano is a tough one to predict. Osasuna are struggling in Laliga. They need to get something from this game. They cannot afford to play it open.
In their last 4 home games one team has failed to score every time. This makes covering the over 2.5 damn tricky, because if it happens one team must score 3.
Osasuna also have a very low 1st half average goals per game record at home (1 goal scored or conceded in 6 first halves). So the 2nd half has to catch fire or the over 2.5 goals fails.
On the other side you have Vallecano, who are a goal delivering machine. Their 6 away games have resulted in 29 goals. Every away game from this team has been over 2.5 match goals this season.
So does a non scoring Osasuna cancel out a Vallecano goal machine. My feeling is that the answer is YES. Osasuna will be tight, and have to play a cautious game .
Under 2.5 goals is the way I would go if I had to, but prob this is one to just watch from the sides.
Dusseldorf are struggling. They will get into a relegation battle at some stage. They have won 1 game in 7 which is not good enough. Frankfurt had a great start to the season, but are now starting to struggle as well. No wins in 4 away games for them, with only 2 goals scored and 7 conceded. These last 4 away games were pretty tough (Schalke and Bayern).
I feel that they will bounce back tonight and achieve the Away win, probably 3-1.

The obvious pick for tonights Spanish laLiga is
Zaragotha v Celta Vigo
1.8 (various bookmakers) for the over 2.5 match goals. Neither team is great at defending, and both are scoring goals. Celta have been over 2.5 goals in 5 of 6 away games.
If Zaragotha score , they win. They have lost 3 games 0-1 at home this season, but if they score they romp to a win.
This game also looks good for a (both teams to score bet)
BTTS at 1.8 looks a really nice price. These teams are reasonably matched, should be an open game. Both teams are conceding a goal or more almost every match.
