The Spurs are about to play their 4th game in 6 days while the Jazz are about 4th game in 5 days. This is a boat load of points for any team to cover and they are valued in my eyes as the Spurs are currently sporting 3 starters over the age of 30. I'm wagering on the youth of the Jazz tonight to help keep this game closer than expected with an outside shot at possibly getting the win SU. Darko in the post playing ample minutes is not the answer that is needed to stop this angry train that is in town tonight. Their are many bright spots for the Wolves on offense but unfortunately non of them lead to playing any defense. The Wolves finished deal last in the league last year in scoring defense allowing nearly 108ppg. This is exactly where the Miami Heat were able to find a gear that the bad defenses of the league could not keep up with as they were 20-3su & 12-11ats last season against teams that allowed more than 104ppg. That was good enough for 25th & 28th in the league at each seasons end. That worked out well for unders because the Magic ranked 1st & 4th those 2 years opponents FG% allowing just 43.6% & 43.5% over the course of those 2 seasons. One play today:
Bulls@Lakers under 185.5 for 10 units...POD
The Bulls had the leagues best defense last season as they allowed a league low 90.8ppg while the Lakers were not far behind only allowing 95.3ppg just 8 slots behind the Bulls in that departement. The Lakers averaged 100.6ppg on offense while the Bulls finished up the season averaging 97.6ppg on offense. It's no surprise that those offensive numbers ranked 9th for the Lakers and 20th for the Bulls as that related rather close to their shots per game as the Lakers style consisted of averaging 81.9 shots per game (12th) while the Bulls style consisted of them averaging 80.4 shots per game (20th). I expect these 2 teams to fall well below their shots per game averages while both teams will be playing solid defense as they have been known to do for quite some time now. I like my chances on this one to stay under today as long as the refs don't blow up the whistle on us...

Cleveland @ Pittsburgh under 40 for 10 units... Where will Cleveland get it's offense from on the road, let alone on the road in Pittsburgh where it vows to be very frigid tonight. Cleveland plays solid defense and they should help this game stay under the total of 40 by giving us a bad performance on offense against another solid defense with Pittsburgh. So that's a compiled opponent's record of 13-45 vs the teams Air Force had beat in D-1 play. For most of you wondering where the other 2 wins came from, Air Force had 2 more wins against the 6-5su South Dakota & 5-6 Tennessee State FCS football teams. Air Force's defense will be no match for this Toledo offense that is ranked 8th nationally in yards gained per game as they have many play maker's. Here are the past 5 games 2nd half totals in the 2nd half of Saints games...
49, 33, 23, 35 & 28
and on top of that the last time these 2 teams squared off they scored 34 pts in the second half back on 9/13/2009

Sacramento State +18.5... Oklahoma's second leading scorer Calvin Newell Jr has left the team because of family issue's and has decided to transfer to a school closer to home. Newell averaged 19 minute's per game was the Sooner's spark so far this season as he came off the bench in all 5 games to average 13ppg and was fitting in very nicely to the their uptempo style. Speaking on their uptempo style the Sooner's are averaging 64.4 shot attempts per game (boy that's a lot) through their 1st 5 games and now that their bench spark has left the team I think we are getting a great number here to value as Sacramento st should get many good looks tonight because of the Sooner's willingness to push, push & push the tempo. The Hornet's are averaging 66ppg while shooting 46% so it's not as if they are dead on offense. I like my chances getting these point's here in this spot and wish I woke a little earlier to get the 21 that was available much earlier...

Chattanooga +1.5... At one point last year, the Eagles dropped 15 straight games, and by the end of the season Georgia Southern had only one league victory, and that came at home against The Citadel. Well they are at it again this year as Georgia Southern is quickly 1-4su with there lone win coming against Webber (Not Webber st). I have Chattanooga finishing a top the Southern conference's North division this year as they are returning 4 starters from last years 16 win team and Coach John Shulman should be able to make much progression with this team from last year. Which in my opinion is bad news for a team like Georgia Southern. Catttanooga is the much better team and making a wager on them to win SU tonight is most well understandable...
