Buffalo under 5.5 season wins

This team will be awful next year, they will win no more than 4 games.
I think 2-3 is more realistic.  This team has little or no offensive talent and other than their secondary being very good their defense is average at best.   Chan Gailey will only be here for 2-3 years max before he gets fired or resigns.  This team is badly in need of new management and is just spinning their wheels by hiring Gailey.  I think this is a great bet for season over under wins

pat-d, Sorry I can see the Bills winning 6 or 7 games. The Bills haven't had a good season in a while but they do play hard every year. Also the Bills do have 2 maybe 3 good running backs and thier offensive line seems to run block pretty good.I won't be betting on the Bills over-under 5.5,so good luck with your bet.

Agree on the under here.  I think they go 0-6 in the division just for starts.

I think they win week 1 at home against miami actually

I totally agree with the under 5.5.  They have no big name players nor proven play makers!

I think they keep it close don't think they pull off the victory.  Probably won't bet the game either way.

Bills went 2-4 last year in the division and should have beaten NE in week 1 but for a late meltdown. If the Bills had a decent qb they would go 8-8 easy.jmo

Completely agree on the under here.  But my favorite play is Miami over 8.5 wins.

Call me crazy but I think they can pull out 6 to 8 games this year.  !st they play in Buffalo 8 games. Bad weather equals tight games with turnovers. The Bills always have a aggresive D ( Sometimes thats good and sometimes thats bad)  with a very good special teams. They have a p;lay maker in Evans and now adding a big playmaker in spiller ( Who is the man by the way) , I can just see this team screwing up everybodys good betting day more then once this year...

Problem who is going to get the ball to Evans? He had TO on one side of the field and didn't do much last season. CJ Spiller being the man? Ha! That's what we (DEN fans) thought "NO"show Moreno was in DEN as well. I just don't see how he can produce against NFL defenses like he did at Clemson.

I disagree, I think Miami wins by a TD

Got a bet on them but it's just a $30 bet I got free to place on NFL week 1 games

weather is not always bad in buffalo, september and october games weather is not a factor. only november and december is it an issue, and most of the times it is the wind.   problem i see is who will get the ball to evans? and if you put 7-8 guys in the box to stop the running game who will step up to take advantage of it?  edwards, brohm or fitzpatrick?  neither of those guys is an offensive threat, they are manage the game type players not playmakers.  again i see this team going 3-13

Buffalo won 6 games last year and they had 20 players injured.   At one point 4 of their starters on the Offensive Line were out.

There's some talent on that team.   Running Backs,  Secondary,  at least one good receiver, some decent linebackers,  good kicker and punter.    Edwards isn't great but he has had some decent games.   Same with Fitzpatrick.

They are switching to a 3-4 defense.    Doing that worked out pretty well for the Packers last year.

Tough call.

Wow, you took the words right out of my mouth. The whole offense other then the 2 wrs were hurt for most of the year las season.

Kickin - Moreno (who by the way im a fan of) and spiller are 2 totally different backs. Moreno is a strong back with good moves inside the tackels, Spiller is  the fastest guy on the field at all times with agility. Spiller is a game changer, Moreno is a game manager. The only question with spiller is health. Hes never really made it through a year healthy. But make no mistake he has Chris Johnson speed.... And im not a clemson or Bills fan. Just a guy who watches alot of football.

The Bills are no Longer a Cold Weather team

Have not been for 8-10+ years now .....

Roster is full of Guys from Cali,Florida and Texas

Practice indoors

Look Lost when the Temp drops here in Buffalo .... Miami is more Of a cold weather team than the Bills

Osirus13 says:

Yes they are still a cold weather team. They werent a cold weather team because their roster was void of warm weather guys. That always happens. Maybe they practive indoors but its freezing up there, they get 8 of those at home and other teams arent as used to it. They are a cold weather team

bills are a lot better than many teams in the nfc. they will never win 4 games in the division, but 2 is definite, and 3 is likely. it is highly unlikely they have the health problems they did last year. they host the jaguars, bears, and lions, and visit the chiefs. they get another 2 out of these 4, plus steal another 2 out of the non-division games.
final record, 6-10.

i'd take the over here if anything.  i'll probably play it.

two factors that tend to even out over seasons are injuries and turnovers.  buffalo was on the wrong side of both of those categories and i'd exepct that to correct somewhat.  they also do have talent and unlike a lot of teams that have a rough year, they don't quit.  they finished the season pretty strong in 2009.  plus, i think losing TO may add 1-2 games in the win column (and maybe 1-2 lossesi for the bungals, particularly with that shitty coaching staff).
fightintigraz says:

Please explain how without T.O. will help you win 1or2 more games. Your saying with all the injuries you had last year that without T.O. you would have won more games????

ClubDirt says:

obviously we're just guessing here but i'm saying intangibles like effort and chemistry are huge in the nfl and a guy like TO hurts you in those areas for several games a season, especially on a team like buffalo where he was a bad fit to begin with.  i think they are better off without him and putting him on a poorly coached bengals team with another old, overrated receiver in chad johnson will not be good.  i guess we'll see.

the injury issue is different.  injuries and turnovers depend a lot on luck.  not completely , but a decent amount.  luck typically evens out over time.  buffalo had a lot of injuries and a bad turnover differential last season.  if that evens out this season, it could mean a couple more wins.

Well please dont base it on effort, because T.O. is not like Moss who takes plays off. He is the hardest worker on the field at all times. Everyone who plays with him says that. But he is arogant and a premadona, but those things IMO, dont take away from winning. Every team he has went to has one more games with him there then before he got there. I get irritated when people who dont like a player like T.O. have the misconception that hes lazy or not as good as people say he is. Him and Moss are the 2 best wrs since Rice. It really is that simple. Has he thrown people under the bus, Yes. Has he thrown temper tantrums when his team loses, Yes. Has he not been the best of teamates at all times, Yes. But he is the hardest worker on every team he has played for and gives 200% every play and every practice. He should be more humble in alot of peoples minds, but he has never bitched when his team one, just when they lose. No matter if he had no catches, if the team won hes fine with it.  Srry to rant here but I see this all over the board daily about how hes overated and its just not true. The media does create alot of the hate for him but some is rightfully his to own.

And also, for all the athletes with off the field troubles he is one that has never been in trouble with the law for anything or any kind of drug allegations. And hes it looked at worse then many criminals and thats just amazing to me...

TO is definitely a great talent and he does work hard when he is winning and in the spotlight.  but i think TO needs to be in the right situation, which small market, rebuilding buffalo definitely wasn't.  if the bengals can put it together, he could be great again there, at least for a guy his age.  but i'm skeptical.

in any case, i do like buffalo to win 6-8 games.  the TO factor is just a small part of that.

They play a brutal schedule and have done absolutely nothing to improve where they needed to, this team will fall short of 5.5 I like the under
cougarenegade says:

brutal schedule? not exactly.
also the fact that they will be healthy, at least to start the year, is essentially signing new players because so many of their starters, especially on the O line, missed significant time last year.
