*All games are played at (1/2) Units
I went 1-1 yesterday. Arizona kept the game close not surprised. As mentioned earlier I did want to pick Arizona but backed off. Oh well. After last weekend, I have doing not so hot during the week. My cash flow is slowly deteriorating. The cancer is me overthinking games. Let's cure this with a great weekend and a slew of games to choose from. It's like standing in line at a Chinese buffet line. Let's get them papers this weekend guys. Be back later looking at a huge card! Best of luck to all!

Screw the MAC championship. Let's play some college hoops.

Two days in a row I have lost more than I won (well by 1 game but it's still losing). But let's have a moment to reflect on Connecticut's game. Really did not see this coming from the get go. But the whole time when I made a decision to pick the Huskies I kept saying to myself why only -15.5 though? UCONN's guard Jerome Dyson did not help his team by shooting 3-14 and committing 3 turnovers. Congrats on anybody who took Buffalo. Now Texas had a lead around 10. That's when I stopped watching and proceeded to pick up chicks (GREAT SUCCESS...NOT) And so wasn't Texas covering. Oh well that sucks and now looking at Friday's games which are lame. But well worth a degenerate play. Still looking really don't want to pull the trigger yet. Need some time to relax and think about these plays.

I went 5-6 yesterday. That's pretty bad. I don't make excuses but I have to vent my frustration. So here it goes. Cornell played the Orange close and were actually up at the end of the 1rst half. Really that should not have happened. Syracuse is better than that (I would hope). Oregon disappointed me as well. To tell you the truth I really liked Utah in the beginning but I was still in disbelief when a Division II team beat them earlier in the year. So I gladly took the points and they ended up losing by double digits! Not sure if it would have made a difference but Oregon played w/out their prized freshmen Dunigan. Probably was taken out right before game time because I was unaware of it til I looked at the box scores. And the last game, UAB. Come on you guys have not played at home so far this season. Playing a below average non-conference team from the Big East (USF) at home should have motivated you to blow them out. Maybe I underestimated USF who knows. But nope you guys disappointed me and the state of Alabama. Coach Davis you are better than that and your players are better than USF. As for as the other games I lost, I was iffy on all of them so I am not surprised. Congratulations to all who were successful yesterday. But I am still up and it's a new day. Picks to come later. I need a different approach for capping games now....

I went 5-2 yesterday. Damn Purdue really let me down. Playing at home and could have shown the nation they were a force to be reckoned with. They really succumbed into the pressure as the Dukies layed the beat down on them. They are still my Final Four team though. They will learn from their mistakes and see what went wrong. Duke is by far superior team but as the season progresses the Boilermakers should improve tremendously (i hope).

Arkansas St. +4Viginia Tech -2.5
Kent St. +12San Francisco +17.5
As the season progresses I will have write ups for games, I tend to put more than or equal to 2 units. All plays right now are for .5 units (hey I just graduated from college give me a break). Wish I had posted my winnings too but will figure out how much I am up sooner or later. Well just think of this so far I have won 48 X .5 = 24 Units but lost 32 X .5 = 16...so 24 - 16 = 8 units (not including VIG) I am up so far in this glorious start of a season. Whatever...Good luck to everybody and all their plays!...

Ball State -15
Okay Butler impressively beat Drake at home to open the season up. Both teams went through major changes through their line ups. But Drake played piss poor not due to Butler's defense but their inability to hit jumpers on the court. I see Ball State with its' own revamped roster to play tough with the Bulldogs and cover away.
Villanova -18.5
Popular pick with the home favorite really have no other reason than they are just a lot better than Niagara.
Wednesday's card was really not a hot ticket for me. Not many games jumped at me.

5-0
Drake Bulldogs -6.5Both Drake and Butler are going through some lineup changes. But Drake comes in with a slight edge in terms of experience with more upperclassmen than Butler. Probably not enough convincing by me but it's early in college basketball. I still like Drake with the two starters from last year's squad. Playing at home is also a key factor in this match up.
Chattanooga +16.5Is it me or does Tennessee plays close against less than superior competition? Although they play home and return a host of talent but I'd go with Chattanooga to keep this game close. Tennessee also has some issues with players not playing because of injuries or academic issues.
Temple -2.5Not much to say but Christmas is looking good pretty early. They also impressed me on their previous game.
It's early in the college basketball season. I promise to give more insight on games. Just posting plays to build credibility. But with college football still here it is hard to juggle my research time. Oh well off to the bars.

3-0
Penn State Nittany Lions -10Penn State is a bit of a homer play for me. But things can not get any worse for a team that usually ends up in the regular season at the bottom. I have followed Penn State for a long time. Believe me they truly sucked for a few years. Now I think Penn State is heading into the right direction. Towards the end of the season the Lions were playing good basketball. They return all their starters and have a ton of experience. Look for Penn State to quietly sneak into the Big 10 standings. Are they NCAA tourney bound? Maybe if they stay healthy. Let's get things rolling with a V over W&M.
Purdue -23I do not believe Detroit could hang with the style of play the Purdue Boilermakers possess. Purdue's strength relies primarily revolves around their guards. Detroit is in rebuilding mode with a new coach, a slew of new players, you get the point. Purdue's fast break offense will set the tone for a lopsided victory today.

2-0
Miami (Ohio) +15
On paper UCLA is the play here. But in reality if you would care to take a look at this match up, UCLA will not cover the spread. Miami returns starters from last year's squad whereas the Bruins have lost others due to the NBA Draft. On a talent stand point the Bruins are favorable but in this match up I'd go with experience and depth over talent and hype.

0-0
Prairie View A&M -35No doubt UCLA wins this game but will they cover? I do not think so. Losing three starters from a final four team will hurt them in the beginning of the season. I see them starting to click about 4-5 games into season but not now. If they were to play again at the midpoint in the season I'd definitely take UCLA regardless of the spread.
Michigan Wolverines -5Wolverines enter this season with some distractions in the off-season. One of their regular players from last year's team has transferred and a German Import is ineligible to play who was to replace their transferring player. But they still have Harris an All Big 10 player. With that being said I still don't believe they will lose to Norteastern. I rarely look into trends for the first few meaningless (imo) games of the season and signs point to Michigan's downfall but I have enough belief that they win this game by double digits today.
