Types of sports gamblers

I think everyone here belongs to one of these types.  You will switch what type you are depending on how successful or unsuccessfull you are.

A,  The Pro

This guy studies each game and doesn't bet on hunches, he is very successfull in what he does and sports gambling is his bread and butter. (what we all strive to be)

B.  The Recreational Pro

This guy is very rare and I have only met one in my life.  He places only a few bets a year when he finds a great spot. He knows his sports and when a soft line or game is out there he will deposit a large sum and bet the one game.  When the game is done he withdraws the money till the next game.  This guy probably use to be a degenerate and knows sports gambling inside out.  (This is what I would like to be, best way to be successfull and fly under the radar.)

C.  The life long loser and the 16 year old kid

This type is the same type just fast forward the years.  The kids placing $25 bets and 6 team parlays thinking he knows how to cap because he went on one run.  This guy is no different than that 50 year old drunk you meet at the sportsbook who's been betting everyday for the last 20 years and has nothing.  He's hoping his 6 teamer will come through so he can have a bankroll but it never does 5 of 6 with the -300 fav losing outright to cost him.  You feel bad for this guy and hope its never you, the teenager usually gets in over his head and gets mom and dad to bail him out.

D.  The common degenerate

This comes in two types and most of us belong in this category.  Type 1 is the college or highschool kid that bets everyday 3-5 plays a day and for the most part breaks even, makes some weeks and loses others.  He's able to continue doing this because he has enough knowledge to keep betting and the swings are not that drastic.  The working common degenerate is similar to his younger counterpart but may bet higher amounts because he has the funds to do so.  More likely to say I quit gambling because of 2 bad weeks cost him his rent money.  This guy has alot of other stuff going on (family, work, biz) that he actually uses sports gambling to relieve his stress but instead it backfires and causes more stress.  When he fianlly realizes this he quits for good.  (Type 1 turns into type two after finishing school and getting a job.)

E.  Only on those special days

This guy isn't even considered a sports gamblers bets the superbowl and other big games when he wins he thinks he knows everything when he loses he cries.  (DONT BE THIS GUY)

Type C probably hit the first 6 team parlay he puts in, and is hooked.

You forgot Type F:  Angry guy who is convinced he has sports figured out, but keeps losing due to the game being fixed or coaches making bonehead mistakes.

Type G:  Spill-over sports gamber.  This is the guy who doesn't even think about betting sports, until he hits a jackpot in slots, or wins the lotto, or wins big big in poker or another table game.  Then, he will pound whatever games happen to be on the card, because he thinks he is running hot.

Type H:  Action junky.  Doesn't like sports, but likes the action.  If he knows he can't get any bets in on other action, will bet on sports just for a fix.

Type I:  Jinxed guy:  this is the guy that charts his picks forever, consistently hits a very high percentage, then funds an account with hard earned money, and loses it all very quick.

Type J:  Guy in a jam:  he owes a lot of money, and only has half of it.  Thinks his best option is to bet sports to win the money he needs.
