this has not been done, but wouldnt it be a done deal and they agree on it if they talk about this? howard is not happy in orlando why make him stay? lakers keep saying they gonna clean house and gasol is soft

why not trade gasol to orlando with a 1st or 2nd round draft pick

and in return orlando will give away dwight howard to la lakers

that would bea  good starting 3 for lakers then:

bynum/bryant/howard if howard does good in la, he dont want in orlando no more, and lakers fans dont want gasol

Couldnt agree more. Bynum is a cancer.......as a person. Doesnt care about the big picture. Doesnt care about winning. Everytime he opens his mouth.......he proves that he is NOT a franchise player. Incredible talent that is incredibly selfish.

Everytime I think of Bynum, I think of this.

Bynum has alot of talent, is younger, has a higher ceiling, and does not have back problems. With that being said, these teams should pull the trigger immediately on a deal involving the big men. Lakers could then sign Steve Nash or some other mercenary, and go ALL IN running on the fumes of Kobe Bryant's brilliant career. They must improve their bench and upgrade to a more athletic unit. A Shawn Marion type player would really help.

The Lakers are dead meat, and all these whims, and fairytale commentary have no bearing on the realities of "would have, could have, concepts" Dwight Howard will never be a Laker, at least in the next 4 years at least; do your home work, the reasons, and legalities are numerous, sign this guy, trade for that guy, what the fuck! does anyone even know how the NBA works? "the Lakers could then sign Steve Nash" right, except he has an iron clad deal that ties him up for the next 3 years with the Suns, attached to a no trade clause, so please, be realistic...Bynum is not the problem, and never has been, to criticize his play as selfish has no foundation, it is Gasol who has seen his last days as a Laker, he's soft, and thoroughly intimidated by Kobe's presence, when the going gets tough Gasol retreats, and runs..their has been more then one incident in the Lakers locker room with Kobe, and Gasol exchanging words over his refusal to take open shots, and passing off to a double coverage KB....

well they have just gotten rid Of Stan VG because apparently Howard asked for them to fire him so it would be terrible on his part if he still insists on being traded especially as Orlando seem to be getting ready to make a championship worthy team , or at least so they say.

sports_network - you really don't have a clue. Nash is a FREE AGENT as of July 1st. THIS year. So no, he's not tied up with Phoenix for THREE more years. Nice try though...

Gasol is a very good player, but in being the THIRD option all year, because Kobe has to take his 25+++ shots every night so he can move up the career scoring list, many nights at the expense of a team W - Gasol has been asked to be a third wheel. In LALA land that ain't worth anything.

Gasol is still a good player - but he's in the wrong system, and he's playing for the wrong coach (Kobe is the coach of the Lakers on offense) and Pau needs new scenery.

As for Howard not being a Laker for four years - you may be right - you may be wrong. The Lakers have the best chip to trade in Bynum, and if they could then swing Pau for some outside shooting help - they MIGHT be able to make some noise next year.

Next time, try to get at least ONE fact right ...

_keyser_soze_ in regards to your commentary, specifically Steve Nash, no he is not what you refer to as a free agent, the word is "exerting his option" after July 1st, meaning if a team offers him more than his last remaining 3 years he has the option to sign if the Suns don't equal the offer, which they have priority over. All this, and every NBA players contractual commitment can be found @ basketballreference.com for your personal observance; Yes, this year Kobe was the Lakers "head coach" and unless they hire someone new, he'll hold the same position next year as well..MY facts are as correct as they get, your opinions are a bit distorted though, trade Bynum? not within the next 2 years, or longer, for who? Dwight Howard? that will never happen, if it could, it would have already went down..your entitled to your opinion, as I am entitled to the facts, NBA player movement is based solely on contractual obligations, money, options, and agreements that are in accordance to league policy; as I stated, "not on the whims, and fairytales of the fans" the best to you always, may you prosper.....
